Pos Ekspress is quite insecure as they don't need the recipient's signature.
Call the Posline 1300-300-300. smile.gif
*
If like that, then they just deliver it to anyone without even try to ask the recipient's identity? sweat.gif

Normally they won't la, maybe you're unlucky. sad.gif
I got a Pos Ekspress parcel lost for 2 months, call the Posline and they told me already delivered, so I just assume parcel lost.
But somehow after 2 months, the envelope magically appear in my mailbox, maybe the postman took it for long holiday. rclxub.gif

Hi guys, I got few questions in my mind.

2. If I want to post something such as books, clothes, Graphic Cards, etc to my buyer, do I have to buy a box and put it in, or they do provide boxing service (which means I just have to bring the items to them) ?

3. When I go to Pos Office, I just click a ticket and wait for my turn, and tell the staff what I want to do?

4a. Do I have to get ticket, line up and wait for my turn to buy the Pos Express ?

user posted image

4b. After I buy it, where is the "Yellow Posting Boxes"?

P/S : I appreciate whoever answer my questions.

For parcels, you can use your own box to ship your items, like poslaju. smile.gif

For pos express, you can ask any staff in charge that you want to buy the pos express pack.
Try looking for yellow posting boxes or labeled with 'pos express only' inside or outside the post office.

Pos Office sell boxes, it's better if you pack it up yourself. Make sure sealed properly with extra layer of tape to avoid theft.

3. When I go to Pos Office, I just click a ticket and wait for my turn, and tell the staff what I want to do?
Check which counter you should go when you press for ticket

4a. Do I have to get ticket, line up and wait for my turn to buy the Pos Express ?
If you get ticket, then just sit and wait for your number to be called. Else some pos office require queue if they don't have tocket booth

Right outside the pos office

my experience -you can buy :
pos express A4 size hard cover envelope RM4.
pos express A4 size box about 2cm thick RM7.
poslaju EMS plastic bag to fit books, clothes etc.that not fragile, first 500gm RM5.20 excluded tax (after tax around 5.62)

for graphic card i think its proper for you to well wrap into box with brown/white paper in order to send with poslaju rolleyes.gif

Thanks, but won't the pos express spoilt my book? As I know, I just have to throw it into the yellow box.

Can anyone tell me how's the PosDaftar works?
I read it here http://www.pos.com.my/V1/main2.asp?C=/V1/P...g/Posdaftar.htm

But still don't really understand, only know that I got options whether I want to have extra service like the AR and Insurance.

so is that mean their tracking system (including the one that the operator use) is inaccurate too? hmm.gif

well it is not to say inaccurate but rather slow in update. Do not rely on the poslaju website tracking as it nvr update and you couldn't trace anything too. Call to helpline and ask!

Usually within klg valley and the pick up time is around 3pm to 5pm. Meaning if u send in your parcel to pos office before this time and your goods able to send out within the same day and arrive the next day to the destination!

If you want to know the status of the goods it is advisable for u to call the helpling only the day after sent out. This is to be fair to both seller and buyer sides withinout creating funny issue.

In between, if we doubt of poslaju service and complaining around lost parcel inaccuracy no update in tracking details etcetcetc... so pay higher and go for DHL smile.gif

i think when we call up to help line, the operator also search the website to track only. most of the case i am able to track the # the next day parcel sent.
however it is not assure that parcel will reached to door step the next day, i read from pos website:

POS OFFICE MALAYSIA:
1) Domestic Poslaju Delivery Standard Delivery standard of next working day is applicable only for areas covered by Poslaju Centres. For other areas, the delivery standard is within 2 to 3 days.
2) Pos Ekspress Package next working day.

thanks

For pos daftar, I usually buy post register sticker/card for RM1.70 then paste it on the left hand corner of the envelope or small parcel. The post clerk will weight it. For the first 20gm you don't have to pay anything more. But if the item is between 20gm to 50gm you have to add a stamp of 50cents value, 50 - 100gm the stamps of 75cents, and so forth...

My customer usually will receive it in 3-7 days time. The person receiving it will have to sign on the sticker as acknowledgment of receiving the posted item.

Post register is suitable for small items that are not easily damage like books and clothing to cater to customer who want cheap posting and not in a hurry to receive their parcel. nod.gif

No need to get AR, I just check thru the pos online to know whether customer has received it or not or just ask your customer directly tongue.gif

I received mine from Kuching to Port Dickson in one day and from Malacca to Kuching also one day. smile.gif
Track after 15 days?
I can track on the same day after I send out my parcel. smile.gif
This is the link: http://www.pos.com.my/V1/main2.asp?c=/v1/T...pres/first1.asp

Anyway, you misinterpreted the meaning:
QUOTE
Please be informed that your package information is only valid for 15 days after posting

It means the record will only stay in their database for 15 days after you deliver the parcel. After that, they will remove the information.
Not that you can only track after 15 days. sweat.gif
