Both also can but I think Poslaju is more reliable compared to Pos Ekspres though I have no problem with them yet so far. smile.gif

By the way, these are the differences between Pos Ekspres and Poslaju:

1)-Pos Ekspres has ready made envelopes and boxes which the buyers must use them and the prices are same for the whole Malaysia, regardless Peninsular Malaysia or Sabah and Sarawak. The prices starts from RM 2.50, RM 3.00, RM 4.00.... You may check them out at your nearest post offices as the actual items are always displayed there with prices.
-Poslaju doesn't have ready made envelopes or boxes. So, you need to prepare yourselves with that. And price varies for West Malaysia and East Malaysia. For the first 500gm, within West Malaysia is RM 5.20 whereas from Peninsular Malaysia to Sarawak is RM 7.50 and to Sabah is RM 8.05. smile.gif

2)-Pos Ekspres doesn't require signatures, so if nobody is around when the postman comes, he'll just leave your stuff in your mailbox. The difference between Pos Ekspress and normal post is Pos Ekspress-"Dijamin Sampai Esok." laugh.gif
-Poslaju requires signature from the recipients, so if nobody is around, the messenger will bring back the package and leave a notification card to you and required you to collect at the mentioned post office, else you can try to call them and they'll send again to you. smile.gif

Thus, it's advisable to use Poslaju if the package is important and fragile. If your items are fragile, it's very hard to fit into the ready made envelopes and might break your items. smile.gif

Hopefully, my explanation can help those are in doubt of the differences between Poslaju and Pos Ekspres.

Thanks.  rclxms.gif

Hi to everyone here. newbie here on postage stuff.
I juz went to the post office to send a t shirt, and i have some questions, hope to get answers here.
1.the black face lady there say shirt cannot use pos express, muz use poslaju. is tat true?
2.I saw the boxes and envelopes for pos ekspres have diferent prices. if i wanna send through pos ekspres, i juz have to pay to buy the envelope? no need stamp or other charges?
3. if i send through pos ekspres, i juz put the envelope in the mail box, no need to go queue inside the post office rite?
4.DVD and CD can send?
5. small item if put in envelope like earphones, will get broken if poslaju?

1. pos express is sepatutnya only for documents.. so... if you really want to send by pos express, buy the envelope from the counter, take it outside/home, put your shirt inside, seal and just drop it in the pos express mail box. dont have to worry about the thickness/height limitations as they dont really care.. but do it at your own risks la laugh.gif
2. yup you only have to pay for the envelope. no extra charges.
3. yes
4. not recommended as they simply sepak the pos express envelopes sad.gif
5. get insurance (think it's provided).. n stick fragile sticker.. or you can buy those envelopes with bubble wrap for extra protection

thanks a lot for the clear explanation!
1 more question, how do I send things wif register post?
I need to have my own envelope, then do wat ?

Yup. For registered postage, use your own envelope or box then have it weighed. Then they will give you the stamps and a red sticker that you fill up with details. Then after they stick it on the package, it's done.

do i need to declare wat's inside?

Err hi I would like to know can pos express parcel (posting a set of earphone) the time arriving to the doorstep can be adjusted? Means mentioning the delivering time... Is it possible? (Or pos laju)
*
u can try, but I doubt they will do so.
they will send on the time they find appropriate, for them tat is.
and u will always miss them , coz they juz throw the damn letter to tell u to pick up at the office.
they are so lazy to knock or honk or have a better look if anyone was in there.
sigh~

Can I require them to post it again if the 1st time i wasnt at home? If yes how to do that? call them?
*
yes, u can.
they will leave a slip in ur mailbox, and call the number on it to request them to resent the item.
they will send again, and make sure u have ppl in the house to pick it up.

Thanks, but won't the pos express spoilt my book? As I know, I just have to throw it into the yellow box.

Can anyone tell me how's the PosDaftar works?
I read it here http://www.pos.com.my/V1/main2.asp?C=/V1/P...g/Posdaftar.htm

But still don't really understand, only know that I got options whether I want to have extra service like the AR and Insurance.
*
for books i don think will spoil la.
i don think they will just fold the envelope.

im wondering how long does it take for pos ekspress to reach from kuching sarawak to subang jaya, selangor?

im not sure kuching is zone a b or c. but im in zone a.
i tried to track but they say it doesn't exist.
it has been 3 days.
usually i get it in one day (zone a to zone a of course)

what pisses me most is that.
why is it in the website it states.
you can only track after 15 days
when its dijamin sampai esok for zone a?
by 15 days what you wanna track?
*

I received mine from Kuching to Port Dickson in one day and from Malacca to Kuching also one day. smile.gif
Track after 15 days?
I can track on the same day after I send out my parcel. smile.gif
This is the link: http://www.pos.com.my/V1/main2.asp?c=/v1/T...pres/first1.asp

Anyway, you misinterpreted the meaning:

It means the record will only stay in their database for 15 days after you deliver the parcel. After that, they will remove the information.
Not that you can only track after 15 days. sweat.gif
*
ur lucky.
my area nvr updates the tracking number.
u can onli track it when u receive it, damn funny....
