That is not any insurance, it is just fuel surcharge (Caj bahan api).
I've answered in the Q&A Poslaju Service thread. |

QUOTE(farmcow @ Nov 12 2007, 11:18 AM) Q: Does Poslaju require a signature for all the mail/package no matter what size is it? Yes, the senders need to declare the items they are sending.A: The new Pos laju form requires you to tick either "Document" or "Non-document". If you tick non-document, then you may have to declare its contents and sign it off too. (11, 12) does this means that sender must write down what are the products they want to send ? wad about the recipient? dey just need to sign when the pos laju ppl send something to them? Recipients will only write down the name, IC when receiving the parcels. |

QUOTE(rejected1 @ Nov 15 2007, 01:48 AM) Hi, If you are lucky, the next day you will get it. I received before. Else 2-3 working days. I have a simple question: How long does it take for Pos Laju to deliver an item about 1.5 kg from Kuching to Melaka? Does the Pos Laju work on this Saturday (17th Nov 2007, Third Saturday of the month)? Please reply asap. Yes, they open this Saturday, only close for first Saturday of the month. |

QUOTE(terryforever @ Mar 31 2008, 04:24 PM) Did you mean for Poslaju? Well, to be honest it depends on your luck. Some officers are really kind to accept your parcel as a "document" and it will be cheaper, else if you are having bad luck, they will count using volumetric system which length, wide and height will be counted as well.OK, for example. Your parcel is 5 KGs and L=70cm, W= 20cm, H=30cm. If using the volumetric system, it goes like this: 70x20x30 ------------ 6000 (fixed value) = 7KGs And, 7 KG will be counted not 5KGs. The price for first 0.5KG to be posted within Peninsular Malaysia is RM 4.50, the GTS tax is 5% which is RM 0.25 and fuel surcharge is 10% and it is RM 0.45. Total is RM 5.20 For Peninsular to Sarawak is RM 6.50, after 5% GTS and 10% fuel surcharge, it will cost RM 7.50. For Peninsular to Sarawak is RM 7.00, after 5% GTS and 10% fuel surcharge, it will cost RM 8.05. Hope this helps. Anyhow, you can refer to here for the rate. Anyhow cheapest rate is not RM 4.50, that is before taxes but after calculated everything, it is RM 5.20. Refer to my post up there. |

QUOTE(Kar @ Apr 30 2008, 10:49 PM) Sorry for the late reply. Public holidays have no postage service that includes Labour Day. And this Saturday is the first Saturday for the month, so they won't be any service on that day. They only off for first Saturday. QUOTE(Only_Human @ May 1 2008, 02:32 AM) How about ship CD or DVD within Peninsular Malaysia and Peninsular to Sarawak ? It depends on the weight and if you are using box, they will count based on volumetric formula.how much pos laju normally charge ??? Anyhow, I have posted this information here, hope it clears your doubt. |

QUOTE(yikhua88 @ May 4 2008, 09:12 PM) how bout if i wan to ship shirts/ bags? Both also can but I think Poslaju is more reliable compared to Pos Ekspres though I have no problem with them yet so far. wat shd i use? pos laju or pos express? wat's their difference? By the way, these are the differences between Pos Ekspres and Poslaju: 1)-Pos Ekspres has ready made envelopes and boxes which the buyers must use them and the prices are same for the whole Malaysia, regardless Peninsular Malaysia or Sabah and Sarawak. The prices starts from RM 2.50, RM 3.00, RM 4.00.... You may check them out at your nearest post offices as the actual items are always displayed there with prices. -Poslaju doesn't have ready made envelopes or boxes. So, you need to prepare yourselves with that. And price varies for West Malaysia and East Malaysia. For the first 500gm, within West Malaysia is RM 5.20 whereas from Peninsular Malaysia to Sarawak is RM 7.50 and to Sabah is RM 8.05. 2)-Pos Ekspres doesn't require signatures, so if nobody is around when the postman comes, he'll just leave your stuff in your mailbox. The difference between Pos Ekspress and normal post is Pos Ekspress-"Dijamin Sampai Esok." -Poslaju requires signature from the recipients, so if nobody is around, the messenger will bring back the package and leave a notification card to you and required you to collect at the mentioned post office, else you can try to call them and they'll send again to you. Thus, it's advisable to use Poslaju if the package is important and fragile. If your items are fragile, it's very hard to fit into the ready made envelopes and might break your items. Hopefully, my explanation can help those are in doubt of the differences between Poslaju and Pos Ekspres. Thanks. This post has been edited by fruitie: May 4 2008, 11:16 PM |

QUOTE(junk0460 @ Jun 4 2008, 01:59 PM) If nobody is around when the messenger come, do i need to collect my item at the poslaju branch or normal post office? As i never went to the poslaju branch near my area before, afraid getting lost when searching for it. They will leave a red card to notify that you have missed it, they will state which post office you will need to go to collect it. So, just follow as what the red card stated. On another hand, you can call and ask them to re-send for you again. Some of them will do it for you, while some would not. |
