Hey guys... i sent a parcel (Puchong branch) to a customer( in Bandar Utama ) using Poslaju National Courier.

I checked just now... it said tht the item is held by customs.  :sta rs:
What does it mean? Will they open up the box ? How come within Selangor also got Custom Inspection : (
Ok settled....False alarm !!

dont panic when you see this, instead, call up 1300300300 to ask what is the status then u will know. its alright, sometimes false alarm1. =)

hi bro & sis,
i'm sending out a t shirt weight around 300gm, may i know what is the best option to me? and what is the cost?
thanks.
*
for me, i will fit it into a A4 size pos express envelope (if can fit) and send nationwide at RM4 only.
if cant fit, i will use poslaju because more reliable and fast.=) if not mistaken, 300gm for west mys is only RM5.20. tq

Today, I go to Poslaju @ 11:25am to post my stuff. They charged me RM8.55 (delivered from Kch, Sarawak to West M'sia). The stuff only weight @ 0.12kg.
They say it's the new price starting this month.
Old price : RM 7.50
New Price : RM 8.55
Increased by : RM 1.05 cry.gif

Is the price apply to Sarawak only or whole Malaysia?
Thx!

i almost fall into the same trap too...
my brother help me post a small teddy bear to IPOH today at Sg wang post office...
the lady charge by volumetric..said that cotton stuff usually charge like that...
my brother call me before he pay....
RM28....wow...i used to pay RM5.20...and now RM28?

i took the bear back to KL Sentral Pos Laju...
they only charge me RM5.90...
it's only 0.18kg....why they simply charge?
i thought only big and long item they charge volumetric?

2. If I want to post something such as books, clothes, Graphic Cards, etc to my buyer, do I have to buy a box and put it in, or they do provide boxing service (which means I just have to bring the items to them) ?

There no box provided for pos laju.. If the item not fragile u can ask for pos laju plastic wrap@sampul.(not all pos office got) Better be safe

*
my experience -you can buy :
pos express A4 size hard cover envelope RM4.
pos express A4 size box about 2cm thick RM7.
poslaju EMS plastic bag to fit books, clothes etc.that not fragile, first 500gm RM5.20 excluded tax (after tax around 5.62)

for graphic card i think its proper for you to well wrap into box with brown/white paper in order to send with poslaju rolleyes.gif

well it is not to say inaccurate but rather slow in update. Do not rely on the poslaju website tracking as it nvr update and you couldn't trace anything too. Call to helpline and ask!

Usually within klg valley and the pick up time is around 3pm to 5pm. Meaning if u send in your parcel to pos office before this time and your goods able to send out within the same day and arrive the next day to the destination!

If you want to know the status of the goods it is advisable for u to call the helpling only the day after sent out. This is to be fair to both seller and buyer sides withinout creating funny issue.

In between, if we doubt of poslaju service and complaining around lost parcel inaccuracy no update in tracking details etcetcetc... so pay higher and go for DHL : )
*
i think when we call up to help line, the operator also search the website to track only. most of the case i am able to track the # the next day parcel sent.
however it is not assure that parcel will reached to door step the next day, i read from pos website:

POS OFFICE MALAYSIA:
1) Domestic Poslaju Delivery Standard Delivery standard of next working day is applicable only for areas covered by Poslaju Centres. For other areas, the delivery standard is within 2 to 3 days.
2) Pos Ekspress Package next working day.

thanks

if u mean pos ekpress using the envelope RM2.5, RM3, Rm4, RM6, RM7 one.... should be 1 day for zone A area, 2 days for the rest.
*
yeah i think this is the correct answer . in fact the envelope stated 'guarantee next day' delivery ..however it also depends the area's posman....normal case next day. i've experienced that after checking, they told me the posman too busy to send, so 3days
