pm me. i have varies sizes of corrugated box

hi...thanks...

QUOTE(svage98 @ Aug 23 2008, 08:54 PM)
Extra safe to wrap the bear in plastic bag before putting in box (can either buy one of use any used box you got).  For normal parcel you need to wrap the box in brown paper and write the address directly on it.  But for poslaju you don't need to wrap the parcel in brown paper.  Just fill in the poslaju form.  For small parcel you can tell the poslaju people to put the parcel in plastic courier bag. Can tell them to put fragile sticker too if you want because I always do that when posting my stuff by poslaju.  Won't want the bears to arrive flattened now do we? lol... Anyway hope this help you in someway  smile.gif

thanks...i had post some bears...

POSLAJU fuel surcharge has increase from 10% to 25%

Previously, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+10%)+5% = 5.1975 after round up became RM5.20

Now, effective starting 1st October 2008, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+25%)+5% = 5.90625 after round up becomes RM5.90

Between peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak for 500g and below would be: (6.50+25%)+5% = RM8.55
Between peninsular Malaysia and Sabah for 500g and below would be: (7.00+25%)+5% = RM9.20

Erm. Even bus fares have increased 30% of surcharge starting 15.09.08. doh.gif
Fuel price decreases or increases, not going to make any difference.

Luckily, the increase for this postage rate is considered little. sweat.gif

not considered that little btw,

from 10% to 25% is a lot.

haha....still got la...
just to sabah and sarawak is rather costly now...^^

i also have no problem with sending my things...
they sent it on time.... rclxms.gif

mad.gif my item got charge by volumetric
plus the higher fuel charge somemore
i charge my customer rm5 for shipping but ended up paying rm10 for the postage
coz they use volumetric

the lady said they will charge either by volume or weight whichever higher

just wondering what is the rate for other courier such as kangaroo xpress, dhl, skynet etc
*
i almost fall into the same trap too...
my brother help me post a small teddy bear to IPOH today at Sg wang post office...
the lady charge by volumetric..said that cotton stuff usually charge like that...
my brother call me before he pay....
RM28....
wow...
i used to pay RM5.20...
and now RM28?

i took the bear back to KL Sentral Pos Laju...
they only charge me RM5.90...
it's only 0.18kg....

why they simply charge?
i thought only big and long item they charge volumetric?

hi all...

i found out that postlaju headquarters can post items with normal weight price if the item not more than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm... no matter the weigh..

but if you were to go to pos office....they will charge you volumetric price for light but big item less than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm....

this is because they were told by pos laju to charge this way...
so pos office will not give according to weight price...

if you still wan to enjoy the weight price, you will need to go to headquarters of pos laju...the "pusat"...
the pos office lady told me so...

and i had tried at several post office, i get volumetric price..but the same item...at headquarters of pos laju is weight price....

hehe....^^

so you all can try...

as i know parcel fee is very very cheap
if i post a thing big size around 1-2m but the weight just 6Kg so which postage more worth?
*
parcel RM2.50 per kg...then additional RM1 per kg...
it take longer time to reach the receiver....

HI...i track the tracking no for the parcel..it's written "Unable to deliver the item due to
addressee not available at time of delivery"..what does it's mean? address not correct? so is it go to nearest pos office to ask n get the parcel?
*
it's stated like that because you are not at home when they deliver the item to u...
not the address incorrect...
you can call them and ask them to resend the item to you...
or you can go and pick it up yourself.... rclxms.gif

Pos Ekspress is quite insecure as they don't need the recipient's signature.
Call the Posline 1300-300-300. smile.gif

called them already...
they say mothing they can do...
emailed them also...
went to the post office too..

now we and our customer searching the parcel all over...
haha...
thanks anyway...
