i almost fall into the same trap too...
my brother help me post a small teddy bear to IPOH today at Sg wang post office...
the lady charge by volumetric..said that cotton stuff usually charge like that...
my brother call me before he pay....
RM28....wow...i used to pay RM5.20...and now RM28?

i took the bear back to KL Sentral Pos Laju...
they only charge me RM5.90...
it's only 0.18kg....why they simply charge?
i thought only big and long item they charge volumetric?

should be the same rate...
RM5.90 for 1st 500gm...
wrap it nicely to ensure the clothes won't be torn in a apart then it should be ok...
hehe...
but i see many people use pos ekspress to send clothes nowadays...

Wow! What a fast response! Thanks!! That would mean that I'd have to buy a special type of envelope from the post office?

Then for poslaju, can i use any ordinary envelope or do i still need to get it from them?

Really confused with post system here.

Yes, there are special Pos Ekspres envelopes available in the post office. Just buy from them.

If you are using Poslaju, you have to prepare all your packaging materials yourself.
If you want the Poslaju sealing plastic from them, then request from them but only post offices with Poslaju centres have this.

2. Any post office open on Sunday?

Well, sure can. Have you received packaging from Gdex or Skynet before? They are using some sort of plastic bag right? That was what I meant. blush.gif
