Hi, Can someone help me, I'm planning to ship a G1 Transformer out to the State. What is the cheapest and safest option for me to do so? And also whats the difference between Pos Laju international and Pos dafter International? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I send the 3KG psu to Pahang from Sarawak using Poslaju, and the charge is about RM 35. For KL-sabah, the rate may a little bit higher depends on the location.

Hey guys... i sent a parcel (Puchong branch) to a customer( in Bandar Utama ) using Poslaju National Courier.

I checked just now... it said tht the item is held by customs. rclxub.gif

What does it mean? Will they open up the box ? How come within Selangor also got Custom Inspection sad.gif

Ok settled....False alarm !!

for me, i will fit it into a A4 size pos express envelope (if can fit) and send nationwide at RM4 only.
if cant fit, i will use poslaju because more reliable and fast.=) if not mistaken, 300gm for west mys is only RM5.20. tq

Not recommend to use Pos Ekspress, experience parcel lost before, and then after 2 months the parcel just don't know pop-up from where and was in my mailbox.
If i were to choose between RM5.20 and RM4, i'll definitely go for Poslaju, with is more secure and reliable. smile.gif

Today, I go to Poslaju @ 11:25am to post my stuff. They charged me RM8.55 (delivered from Kch, Sarawak to West M'sia). The stuff only weight @ 0.12kg.

They say it's the new price starting this month.

Old price : RM 7.50
New Price : RM 8.55
Increased by : RM 1.05 cry.gif

Is the price apply to Sarawak only or whole Malaysia?

Thx!

If in this case, I think it is implemented to whole Malaysia. sweat.gif
My good friend is from Kuching, oh gosh for me to send her parcels every month. sweat.gif
Maybe I will opt for a cheaper alternative - Pos ekspres if for smaller items. biggrin.gif

POSLAJU fuel surcharge has increase from 10% to 25%

Previously, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+10%)+5% = 5.1975 after round up became RM5.20

Now, effective starting 1st October 2008, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+25%)+5% = 5.90625 after round up becomes RM5.90

Between peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak for 500g and below would be: (6.50+25%)+5% = RM8.55
Between peninsular Malaysia and Sabah for 500g and below would be: (7.00+25%)+5% = RM9.20

Ok, I've read through all 16 pages and I think I've come to this conclusion.

Cheap & small items = Pos Ekspres
Anything else = Pos Laju

So do most of our Gundam traders here use Pos Laju?

Another thing, how do you people find the time to post and collect your items? The post office close before 6 and I'm sure most of your office hours are around that time also. Does this mean you can only do it on weekends?

You can always post your parcels during the lunch hour. smile.gif

For my case, my time is flexible as I'm still a student and one little post is office is located in my campus, it is very convenient for me. smile.gif

But well, most of the sellers I encounter here send their goods during the lunch hour, gonna sacrifice some time there whereas some start work at 9.00 a.m., so they will do it before working as post office opens at 8.30 a.m.

Ok, so let me just make sure again:

Pos Ekspres for small & cheap item (like keychains)

Pos Laju for anything else

Correct?

Can say so. But Pos Ekspres doesn't require recipient's signature, so the thing might go missing as postman will just put it into your mailbox. smile.gif

Cheap and small things use Pos Ekspres. smile.gif
Anyway, I would say its designated different sizes of envelopes is kinda helpful.

Poslaju is a better option for more expensive items and items that need to be sent in parcel form (boxes). smile.gif
