QUOTE(Kaycie @ Oct 18 2008, 01:16 PM) should be the same rate... how much would the same item be by pos express? it isn't registered post right?RM5.90 for 1st 500gm... wrap it nicely to ensure the clothes won't be torn in a apart then it should be ok... hehe... but i see many people use pos ekspress to send clothes nowadays... |

QUOTE(Kaycie @ Oct 18 2008, 04:21 PM) nope...not registered post... Wow! What a fast response! Thanks!! That would mean that I'd have to buy a special type of envelope from the post office? it's actually post for documents in envelope form... but many seller use it to post small items... it differs according to price of the envelope... RM2.50, RM3, RM 4..... Then for poslaju, can i use any ordinary envelope or do i still need to get it from them? Really confused with post system here. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 18 2008, 07:56 PM) Yes, there are special Pos Ekspres envelopes available in the post office. Just buy from them. I see. Thanks for the info. What is sealing plastic? Can't just use gum and tape??If you are using Poslaju, you have to prepare all your packaging materials yourself. If you want the Poslaju sealing plastic from them, then request from them but only post offices with Poslaju centres have this. |

Okay. I need to send several books to another state. Paperback size but not that thick. What's the best way to do so? Box? Wrapped in paper and bubble wrap tied with string? Please advice.

QUOTE(St0rmFury @ Nov 1 2008, 11:36 AM) If you can find a suitable box then that would be the best way. Make sure you put plenty of cushioning inside (crumpled newspaper is good) so the book edges will not get dented. If no box then tricky a bit. I suggest you use bubble wrap on the book followed by at least 2 layers of newspaper and another (or 2) layers of A4/A3 paper to provide additional protection. Oh I see. I a tissue box counted as a box then? I'll be putting the books in a plastic bag first to avoid denting. Is that okay too? The A4/A3 paper, can it be white? Or must it be the brown? Thanks. And after the paper, do I still need to tie it with a piece of string or just leave it like that?Added on November 1, 2008, 11:48 amOh wait, I just noticed your username haha. When are you free to sell the Patrick? If possible can we COD at Mid Valley during weekdays? Let me know what time you are free also. PMed ya about Patrick! |

QUOTE(St0rmFury @ Nov 2 2008, 10:08 AM) Tissue box may not be strong enough, it could get squashed in the delivery truck with the other stuffs. A4 paper can be either white or brown but I recommend white so the recipient's address can be seen clearly. No need to use string anymore. Okay thanks a lot. I'll do that then. |

QUOTE(Kaycie @ Nov 25 2008, 01:38 AM) hi all... Where is the HQ?? That is so...good for those who live nearbyi found out that postlaju headquarters can post items with normal weight price if the item not more than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm... no matter the weigh.. but if you were to go to pos office....they will charge you volumetric price for light but big item less than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm.... this is because they were told by pos laju to charge this way... so pos office will not give according to weight price... if you still wan to enjoy the weight price, you will need to go to headquarters of pos laju...the "pusat"... the pos office lady told me so... and i had tried at several post office, i get volumetric price..but the same item...at headquarters of pos laju is weight price.... hehe....^^ so you all can try... Does anyone know about posting a letter to Sarawak? Is it like 50c or 80c? Please help! |

QUOTE(roticanai92 @ Dec 28 2008, 10:33 PM) thanks a lot for the clear explanation! Yup. For registered postage, use your own envelope or box then have it weighed. Then they will give you the stamps and a red sticker that you fill up with details. Then after they stick it on the package, it's done.1 more question, how do I send things wif register post? I need to have my own envelope, then do wat ? |

QUOTE(roticanai92 @ Feb 7 2009, 04:10 PM) yes, u can. oh didnt know that. that is good to know. should try it instead of always going to the post office to pick up. free anyway right?they will leave a slip in ur mailbox, and call the number on it to request them to resent the item. they will send again, and make sure u have ppl in the house to pick it up. |
