POSLAJU fuel surcharge has increase from 10% to 25%

Previously, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+10%)+5% = 5.1975 after round up became RM5.20

Now, effective starting 1st October 2008, within peninsular Malaysia for 500g and below:
(4.50+25%)+5% = 5.90625 after round up becomes RM5.90

Between peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak for 500g and below would be: (6.50+25%)+5% = RM8.55
Between peninsular Malaysia and Sabah for 500g and below would be: (7.00+25%)+5% = RM9.20

Erm. Even bus fares have increased 30% of surcharge starting 15.09.08. doh.gif
Fuel price decreases or increases, not going to make any difference.

Luckily, the increase for this postage rate is considered little. sweat.gif

hi i'm new to courier/parcel service. anyway i've got a buyer(im selling a faulty gpu btw) who requested for normal postage. so i would just like to know what does it mean by normal postage? and what should i do? do i have to do the package by myself or go to post office and tell them i want to do a normal postal or pack there or what? is the procedure same like sending parcel from PosLaju?

thanks in advance.

i almost fall into the same trap too...
my brother help me post a small teddy bear to IPOH today at Sg wang post office...
the lady charge by volumetric..said that cotton stuff usually charge like that...
my brother call me before he pay....
RM28....
wow...
i used to pay RM5.20...
and now RM28?

i took the bear back to KL Sentral Pos Laju...
they only charge me RM5.90...
it's only 0.18kg....

why they simply charge?
i thought only big and long item they charge volumetric?

I tumpang thread to show my dissatisfaction towards SkyNet awhile ya.

I went to SkyNet Balakong office to pickup an item, I asked to have a copy of the courier charge list displayed on the wall, she said "TAK BOLEH!!!!".

what.....just a piece of paper! What kind of business attitude?

Now I already started to ban SkyNet, even not yet subscribe to their servie... I heard it's quite good, pity

ya lor
i think they dont have a standard guideline for this
different branches will have different way of determining how to charge the item
my parcel is inside a shoe box only not VERY big
however volumetric sxxks whistling.gif haha
