ok guys, basically i just asked her why TM allowed new application to apply 8Mpbs with RM140? how about existing customer? then she asked me to hold on the phone. After a while she told me she can give me the offer if my area can support 8Mbps....after checked, the result is positive, then i just asked her to help me to apply for the upgrade...then she went through all the verification and term and condition etc...

according to her, the whole process required 7 working days, and my modem need to turn on all the time within these 7 working days....tomorrow consider 1st day...so let see how....

other than that, i need to collect the hypeTV box myself from TMpoint after 7 working days...

8Mbps is RM140 now? I see TM's website still stated 160...

actually i saw the news since 2016, the offer started since Aug'16....

mine's rm160 including GST. 140 is for new subscribers i guess

streamyx entitled free upgrade following from budget 2017?

if apply 4mbps before 31/12/2016, entitled to 8mbps?

if 8mbps, then nothing to upgrade? since streamyx max is 8mbps.

sure, i just dont understand why they need to take at least 7 working days....to me this is only configuration change (soft change)....

Yes, streamyx users got upgrade options it seems,
the website form is stated for Unifi & streamyx users as well,
I believe 8M users is getting same craps as Unifi Pro100 users,
whereas lower package should have option to upgrade to next speed,
can't assure since I can only check again on 25/01/17

As I check with TM live chat yesterday, there are no free speed upgrade for streamyx users...even though my place supported for 8mbps. The so call thank you suprises are hypptv things or webe discounts or vouchers only. streamyx users are left behind as usual..

that was why i heard also.. wonder why some lyn members got diff info..

Previously I got an offer to top up RM10 for 8mbps, but that time I decline it since I though that streamyx user will have the speed upgrade (in provided service area support for the said speed upgrade) according to the FAQ that posted by TM last year (although removed after some time)....yesterday when I check with TM live chat, I stated that "I am 4mbps user, will I entitled for the free speed upgrade under the announcement of budget 2017"....they just stated speed upgrades are for unifi users only but streamyx user do have TQ suprise which consists bla bla bla...(same old story) , i just fill up the form on TQ suprise page, need to wait till 25th Jan also. but i am not giving any hope in it...might as well not gonna choose any options from the "suprise" as it was useless for me (unless miracle happens)

Any particular detail I have to pay attention to?

Cause my home phone is under my dad name.
But the streamyx account is under my name.

Tried both, but still same error message about details not being correct.


EDIT: found out the problem....apparently....need to enter 08X00XX2X0X

Missing two red digits.....which is not written as in the bill....

and the bad news for my streamyx...

Actually those cheaper package can be upgraded to 4Mb but your monthly will add RM20.

Maybe wait until 25 Jan, if really as the slide where the speed become 10Mb then it's better. If only webe or hypptv then that time go to TM point and ask if upgrade to 4Mb need to pay how much.
