Judging from your picture........THE SOLUTION ---> DISABLE IPV6 will solve your youtube 50kb/s problem.

It is a common knowledge on TM youtube IPV6 slowdown by now.

Don't ask how to disable IPV6, you should know how to do it yourself by now.

Yup, the legendary and infamous TM Youtube IPV6 slowdown that never get fixed since year 2013

1)Make sure you login as admin into the router.

2)Go to Advance Setup --->WAN Service

3)Tick the 'pppoe1' at Interface and then click "Edit"

4)Untick/Uncheck "Enable IPv6 for this service", then click 'Next' all the way.

5)Done~

IPV6 is supposed to be the future, but in Malaysia, it isn't.

Darn, the IPV6 setting is not being exposed. You must be using old firmware.

Oh well, if you only browse youtube on PC...... then we can simply disable IPV6 on OS level.

Good for you....but bad for our Internet future. Just remember the simple step of re-enabling back IPV6 for future use.

Cause IPV4 public address is running out (TM already putting 1Mbps and 2Mbps subscribers behind NAT) and TM still screwed up with its IPV6 implementation......

In case you worry, you are currently assigned with public IPV4 address.
You can find several thread where some users got assigned with private IPV4 address (behind NAT, example, 20 users share single public IPV4 address)

EDIT:
The bad news of disabling IPV6........some new generation sites can only be accessed with IPV6 connection (or 6in4,4in6,6to4 tunnelling etc)

Nope, there is no problem with TM modem IPV6. It is the same with every other router/modem.

The fault lies with local TM Youtube IPV6 CDN caching servers.

I use France/Paris/US VPN (with IPV6 connection), there is no problem accessing youtube using IPV6. (Redirected to France Youtube IPV6 caching servers)

We as TM subscribers will encounter 50kb/s throttling at certain hours when using IPV6 for accessing youtube. ONLY YOUTUBE CONNECTION ITSELF is throttled to 50kb/s. Other connection is fine....

It gonna happen for sure. There was TM meeting on discussing such issue.

I think TM is trying to follow Comcast model of business.

1) Intro HSSB using fiber optics with grant from government (exclusive access to market for few years)
2) Ignore the copper networks and encourage subscribers to upgrade to new package (with quota)
3) Forced bundle with cable shows (in our case, TM HyppTV)
4) Upcoming milking strategy --> Want unlimited data? Pay more or subscribe to HyppTV or pay per GB basis or throttled once quota is up.

Definitely proof of he has IPv6 enabled.......
The symptom he described exactly the same....turbo 400kb/s, then suddenly throttled to 50kb/s.
