As for the shock absorber, better change the whole set lah. My ride is also like kuda one but if at highway speeding best wooo. Cornering also gooding. The thing i change for my setup was just the front spring, standard spring they give me is 4k, i change to 6k to stiffen it a bit.
Both thermostat & spring setup is CONSUMER decision. Already become a trend, hence magician ady got so used to it and make it standard practice.
1) Thermostat originally designed to slot between main water channel. It's a bypass valve to be exact. When waterpump housing temperature is low, the entire radiator water channel will be totally blocked by the valve. Hence, engine does not get extra coolant from the radiator and keep recycling water already INSIDE the engine, so the engine can quickly gets heat up to normal working temperature. As and when temperature achieved, thermostat will automatically open the valve, water get to exit to radiator, and your radiator fan automatically switch on to cool down the already heated up water. Now why does magician always like to throw it away. This has to be every 1/2 ~ 1 year time, radiator coolant will get deteriorate its performance. Fluid inside radiator on/off hot/cold, hence become acidic. When water acid high, means steel get rusty fast. When thermostat gets rusty, it jam, kenot fully open

Kenot fully open, water hard to flow to radiator how to cool down? Hence the car ma veli easy overheat jor lor. When magician ask customer wanna change coolant mou? Customer say, change apelanjiao la, put paip water ma gao dim lor

When thermostat rusted, magician say RM68 to change, customer say throw away ma even better? Colder mar! So now, regardless who go look for magician with overheating issue, the 1st thing they do is ALWAYS throw away the thermostat. Think about it lar, engine maker all sohigh go do extra work meh? Thermostat exist for a reason 1. Just that consumer any ordinary ah beng take short cut wanna save the trouble to menten less 1 thing nia

2) As for the spring, yes it is also due to consumer. Those days when my unker work on my grandfather's kar, the esoba all can be refurbrish geh. Unker will unlock the shutter, pull the esoba shaft out. Drain all fluid inside the cylinder. Remove old rubber seal, replace with new seal. Plonk back fresh gear oil into the cylinder, push the seal and shaft back into the cylinder, lock the shutter. Wah! Feels like new car jor. Then all 13 brothers & sister hop on the car and test drive. No sagat, no sag behind. Where got hear people change spring geh? Again, when u ask pipu reoil your esoba, it cost RM75/piece. Amount of time taken is atleast 1/2 day, imagine has to dismantle every single thing just to get the new oil in. 4pieces ady RM300, and kenot guarantee oil leak and how long the esoba can tahan. Imagine lar, after reoil ady, u feel the rides exactly the same like before, feels like using stock esoba. Who wanto pay RM300 for the feel of exactly the same like didn't do anything before? So here comes the spring poison. 1 set sport lowering spring baru berapa? RM250. Upah berapa? RM40 siap pasang. Time taken? Siap dalam 1 jam. After effect? Huah! Manyak siok itu kete! So steady kat haiwei(sudah lowered, less air flow interference mana boley not steady). Konar pon sedap? Does it really sedap? Ofcoz lor, sudah bayar, buntut sakit pon kena mau RASA sedap

I'm not saying u r wrong. Hard spring got it's purpose, especially talking about wanna retain the car on the ground. With harder spring, no doubt you'll feel more steady and less roll during konar. It's true because the spring now need heavier press to compress it, hence is less sampan during konar. The problem is, when your konaring speed managed to compress the spring. HOHOHO.... U hop all the way + understeer or worst...

Reminds me when new detaim very smooth geh. 1 kick sudah start, immediately can drive ady. Now ar, need to wait atleast 30seconds before plonk 1st gear start move. Otherwise, sure stall
