One time only right? Their usual on-going is 3k/6 months?

http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/images/tc_acti.pdf

Need to spend 1k within 3 months, apply bt within 3 months, minimum 3k and up to 80% of CL.

btw conversion to Enrich miles is crap : 20,000 Public Bank VIP Points = 1,000 Enrich Miles

So far, only know that the VIP points can be used to offset GST.

I am wondering why they want to have the account opening requirement. Quite a hassle.

so if apply online, and assume that you get the card, then spend $2000 at the first month after card activation. theoretically the max cash back you can get it:

1. RM60.00 (assuming 1000 for grocery, dining, online)
2. RM60.00 ( activation bonus by spending at least RM80 in 60 days ? is this visa signature equal to platinum)
3. RM150 ( PART 1 of $388 online application promotion, to qualify for the RM150 Cash Back, the Qualified Cardmember must have charged on his principal credit card an accumulated retail purchase of RM1,000 and above within the first 2-months from the card approval date )
4. RM238 (PART 2 of $388 online application promotion, Balance Transfer TnC)

and lagi get 0% from BT ?

Maximum CB first month = 60 + 60 + 388 ? = 508 ?

Does the CB stack-able? Sounds like a big frog on the street.

For me they are complementary for I would use Wise for mobile, petrol and deptstore, PBB VS for dining, groceries & online and MBB2Amex for weekend and Watami for every other things.

To be honest, BNM mandates that all application must submit their income documents. But PBB made no mention of it. They just say bring the FD cert and IC to the holding branch for processing !

Maybe public bank is doing that to cater to a niche market. People who have money but no salary slip to back it. E.g. ah longs, Nigerian princes etc.

The fact is, the banks will approve any application based on CTOS, CRISS. So an IC(for employee) will be more than enough.

According to the ad in The Star, we get RM188 for Early-Bird applicants (first 300 New-to-Bank customers).

I do hope to get the RM60 activation & RM150 (from the RM388 campaign as well)
*
According to the CS, rm188 CB for offline application and rm150 for online application. But To qualify for the RM150 Cash Back, the Qualified Cardmember must have charged on his principal credit card an accumulated retail purchase of RM1,000 and above within the first 2-months from the card approval date.

My thoughts exactly.
I do not think there is a "better" card, just which card suits your lifestyle the best.
For me, Watami for insurance premiums, Wise for petrol, dining and mobile, and MBB2 AMEX for everything else including groceries, which I only do on weekends.

If you autodebit your insurance premiums, you might want to consider Watami card.
3% cashback, on condition that you swipe at least RM3k every quarter.

You should indeed, everyone should have their own medical cards.
Medical costs these days are just too damned ridiculous.
My company also covers my medical insurance, but the thing is, chances are you won't be working for the same company forever, and even if you do, when you retire at age 60, you'll have zero insurance coverage then, and it will be unthinkably expensive to start buying insurance when you're 60.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'd just rather err on the side of caution.

does this card earn Cash Back for other transactions besides dining, grocery and online transactions? If no, what is the point of minimum CL RM30K since the cash back is capped at RM60. CL RM2K is enough, hahaha.

Okay you do earn 1 VIP Point, but I bet the returns will be less than 0.5% for cash vouchers. Therefore this is not competitive compared to say OCBC Titanium Mastercard which you give you1% CB.

And one only earns 1X Point for overseas transactions. This is really a joke for a so called Premier credit card.

I can tell you PBB will terminate or revise the 6% CB in less than 2 years just like what OCBC did for their Titanium MasterCard. This is because no one here in LYN CC Section is so stupid to go use the card for any other reason except to earn the RM60 monthly CB (max spending RM1K/month). Well, maybe those who want the free local airport lounge access can go use it at McD when overseas (and earn 6% CB too), hahaha

Still thinking if I should pledge 30K for the card. I have Mach that covers 5% dining, CIMB CB Plat for 5% online purchases and I don't really do grocery at all. I think it's better off putting my money in BR FD for better returns.

I am waiting for the (rumor) new OCBC card to see whether it has better cash back features. Currently all my non-weekend, non-amex dining go to Watami card for 3%. So the 6% here doubles it.

The lounge access is less attractive with the swipe condition.

In developed countries, nowadays people don't even have cheque book or cash in their wallet as most use Debit Cards. The Wave Feature is handy but like I said, better get RDIF blocking wallet.

As for McD, no need go very far, McD SG accept CC/DC. However, I would suggest you get a PIN number if you really want to use your CC overseas for small purchases or at Self service counters.

Bro, Visa Signature falls under Premier credit card category. But I guess I we can start a new category, e.g. sub-Premier or like you said "not that premier" or Premier wannabe laugh.gif

Too bad this day to day card is only offered to those earning RM100K and above and not to the people who really need the cash back to make ends need.

bro Gen-X, do Malaysia credit card already has the pin?
i mean like European, their credit card is not using signature verification, but it is using the pin verification.
if yes, i really want to get it.
currently using Maybank 2 card + citibank premiermile
thinking to add this one
*
With PIN verification, banks can't make money from us already. Most of the fraud case they are claiming rm250 from us(as stated by regulation) and claim full amount from insurance companies.
Our country's CC are advanced type with the chip inside, if banks really wants to improve security and reducing fraud case, they can always put our IC basic info to it then upgrade the CC machine with finger print reading flex.gif

Bro, years ago, even 20 years ago, all Malaysian credit cards are issued with a PIN number. But most are like me, just tear it up or keep in drawer.

YES, Malaysian issued credit card still comes with PIN (if you request for it) because you need it to withdraw cash from ATMs (not that I am saying we should).

For Australia, in August this year, all credit card in person transactions need to be verified with PIN. And if I not mistaken, zenquix mentioned before that Malaysia is heading that way very soon (I can't remember the month).

i thought the PIN is for withdraw cash from the ATM only.
ok, in that case, i have a pin for my credit card, but i scrap them into small pieces and into dustbin directly because i will never use it.
but when i swap my credit card at UK, the credit card machine is still asking for signature verification.
all other credit card users use PIN verification

Payment thru UOB Payonline considered online transaction? If yes, this card is worth to have.

Recently I used that facilities frequently and noted the transaction appeal on the statement do not reveal any "OLNINE" attributes.

Thanks guys for the info. My hotel all paid for with Agoda. Using CC mainly for wifey's shopping (she wants a new Dior and Chanel HB) and maybe some dining.

Called Alliance, they only generate PIN on Tuesday and tomorrow holiday. UOB said need 10 to 14 days for PIN to reach me. Maybank can get immediately at branch where we can set our own PIN number at the ATM.

Wongchoy and you guys, PM me where to get nice food or not to miss diing experience near Piccadily Sq in London.

Sure will happen? This can reduce bank's profit margin on CC by a lot(talking in terms rm billions a year) from the fraud cases.
And after reading that PS, I should be getting SMS alerts, but only once when I do transaction on new merchants. When I do for second time on the same merchant, I won't get SMS. This means that bank will ignore BNM's guideline as far as possible. Have to understand guideline(no need to follow as long as favor to provider), regulation and law first.

You submit the request, right? As I never submit the request.
This is banks shall do it automatically, but again as this is just a guideline, bank can no need to follow, bank can treat this as BNM's TCSS.

If apply online, dont think you are entitle for the RM 60 "The Card Acquisition cum Activation Offer Promotion"
As in clause 2:
The following persons are excluded from participating in this Promotion :-
(ii) new Public Bank principal credit cardmembers who have applied online
via www.pbebank.com for any Public Bank credit card;

So, either apply online for the RM 388 (RM 150 exactly) or apply via physical copy for the RM 188 (300 first come first serve) + RM 50 campaign
Which channels you guys are using?

You submitted the online application form right? If yes, will not be eligible for the 188 promo. The CS specifically highlighted this to me.

8. Cardmembers who apply for new PB Visa Signature Credit Card via Online Channel are not eligible for the RM188 Cash Back.

You submitted the online application form right? If yes, will not be eligible for the 188 promo. The CS specifically highlighted this to me.

8. Cardmembers who apply for new PB Visa Signature Credit Card via Online Channel are not eligible for the RM188 Cash Back.

But will be eligible for the RM388 one.
*
Welll.... Let me ask the CS when I activate the card if they approve my VS application.

I got the application form for the rm188 promo from a PBB branch and they told me I can submit by fax or email as stated in the form.
I emailed them the form with supporting docs 3 days ago and when I called the CS this morning they comfirmed that my application is under processing and emailing of application is allowed under the rm188 promo.
I also notice that the form has a diff source code GPEZTO0414 (at bottom right corner of page 2) compare to the rm388 promo's form with source code of GOCBWB0513.

Yes.. Google has answer to everything mentioned in the forum. IT's up to you to "use it effectively"
I used the non-toll free number..... you need to read what it says on the PBB Contact Us page before calling ya ?

Thanks for the summary. Looks like the RM188 deal is better if you do not intend to swipe RM1000 in 60 days from card activation.

The RM238 deal is useful if are unable to repay your debt, or you are really hardworking in repaying for 24 months.
Minimum is RM5000 BT for 24 month plan to get it. The interest for 24/mo BT is 5% upfront, which means @ RM5000 you have to pay PBB RM250 upfront and they give you RM238 in return, nett nett you pay PBB RM12.

Effectively you are paying a RM12 fee for a 24 month BT on a sum of RM5000.

The RM12 you can make it back by putting the full sum of RM5000 that you intend to repay your debt with in FD, at 2.9% FD rate.. you will get RM12.08 back for 1 month. Thereafter, you are effectively just free-ing up cashflow and/or earning interest.

Its a rather long commitment, but damn good deal for people who are in deep shit who can't settle RM5k.

You may try if your net income (gaji bersih) is >RM72k and you have maintain >RM 20k in deposit for the past 1 year in PB in addition to your home loan repayment is 100% on time. But still the best way to increase your chance is to pledge a FD of 30k .

I've been told by CS of PB, that dining at hotels, or at starbucks are not included. They mention that, internally, they make reference to MCC list. Anyone knows what's on the list? For all you know, maybe online payment only from certain websites, not all.

same day as u, i have got the card on 20 May 2014. CS call the next day for activation

I had also ask about SMS notification.
If you swipe over the counter, the SMS will come only if amount >500.
For online transaction, regardless the amount you will always have SMS notification.
But I havent try though, this is what the CS said.

Also I used the RM388 CB rebateform during my application, so the effective CB without BT is RM150 , can be 1 shot RM1000 spending or combine, must do within 2 months. the other 238 have to do BT with 5% upfront intereted rate, if you do that, you will have to pay extra RM12 at the end, this is really a catch. I have nothing to BT pun la.

Did you also apply Citibank card for cash back? saw u in that thread, which card u applying ?

My annual income is less than 100k, but I have home loan with PBB.
Does it increase my chance to get this card?
*
Just go to the branch you take the loan, ask that officer to apply for you.
Usually they can approve the card for you.
Still remember 8-9 years ago when I take their housing loan, I only entitled for Classic card but they applied gold card for me and I do got it. Just that the credit limit are quite low, rm7000 only. If you spend more, pay on time and always touch >70% of the credit limit, they will increase your credit limit also.

My first swipe below RM500 received the SMS Alert.
My subsequent swipes below RM20 didn't receive SMS Alert (I put my own box of RM1.00 on the form...)

Going to call them to change it to RM1.00. Until now still cannot register PBeBank.com logon

Public Bank will allow a minimum of RM100 for physical swipes, and any amount for "card-not-present" swipes (i.e. Internet based) to get the SMS Transaction Alert.

Should I email to BNM ?

The Ramen Musashi at Eat Paradise 1 Utama is under DEPT STORE MCC (verified via HLB WISE)

Did the AEON CC slip states "DEPT" or "SMKT" (top part)

So even though the min stated at the form is RM500, they relent and allow RM100. I would still want RM1 as I will be using this card often so once I get my card delivered and do some testing, I will send an email to bank Negara.

Usually, I will do testing to get proof of transactions. Then, I will email to their customer service to request to change to RM1. Once they reply and say not possible, I will forward it to Bank Negara without cc PBB. Then Bank Negara will email to PBB and cc me.

They cannot reveal the accepted MCC codes as it is for internal usage only.

We can call them to find out whether any particular transaction receive the cashback or not, something like what we did for OCBC ti.

For online transaction, flight booking, hotel bookings like agoda will get the cashback.

BTW, manage to get my PBeBank logon working after their IT "fixed" the unknown server error...

To create a PBeBank logon with your CC, follow this steps
1. Go to http://www.pbebank.com
2. Click on Banking (right at the bottom)
3. Click on E-Channel (right side bar)
4. Click on PBe Personal Banking
5. Click on How do I apply ? (right side bar)
6. Scroll down to "Option 3 - PBe Online Regsitration for PB Cardmembers"

Who in the logical mind create this web of links just to do something simple like putting on the logon page and says "Create Logon ID"

or Shortcut : https://www.pbebank.com/forms/form-pbebank-registration.aspx

Nice, I wonder why the CS who called me yesterday said it is not for public view doh.gif

Comparison with OCBC:
Grocery (MCC codes 5411, 5422 and 5451)
Dining (MCC codes 5811, 5812, 5813 and 5814)

So less coverage!

QUOTE
Please allow us to clarify that SMS transaction alerts will be sent for all Card-Not-Present transactions regardless of amount.  However, for card present transactions, the current threshold amount is set at RM500-00.  Cardmember may request to change the threshold amount in multiples of RM100-00.  We confirmed that your current threshold amount for SMS transaction alerts has been changed to RM100-00 as requested.

Based on alliance bank's 50% cash back dining deal early this year. it should be either 5812 or 5814. I called OCBC CS to check (before i swiped with my alliancebank card tongue.gif) , but can't recall which 1 it was.

Based on alliance bank's 50% cash back dining deal early this year. it should be either 5812 or 5814. I called OCBC CS to check (before i swiped with my alliancebank  card tongue.gif) , but can't recall which 1 it was.

lol you got that too

it was 5814 based on what Alliance CS informed me.

As expected, PBB choose not to reply to my email but call me instead to inform that they are not able to lower the SMS trigger amount, min they can go is RM100. Previously, the CS also choose to call me when I asked about the MCC codes.

I just recall a similar case with PBB posted here few months back. So PBB is one tough nut to crack.

When a bank are set to play with grey areas, are you sure they don't know about all the MCC codes?
If they don't know, just type MCC codes in Uncle Google already can come out the whole list sweat.gif
http://web.archive.org/web/20070710202209/...mcc_booklet.pdf
CS's officers are trained to make sure card holders are mong ca ca whistling.gif
They will only reveal when they know that person who called do know his/hers rights.
So far I've dealt with Public bank, Maybank, HSBC(quite LC but will tell the truth), OCBC and HLB.
Public Bank has the best service when come in fraud case, they'll make sure you pay more than rm250 icon_rolleyes.gif
8 years ago already like this, thought after 8 years they are still doing the same, to stand high against other banks, some strategies(oops, I mean dirty) are needed whistling.gif

I applied thru internet and later got PB service personal to convert (so that it is entitled for the RM188 cash back). Received my CC yesterday; and also got PB helpdesk to confirm that I am entitled for the cash back but its helpdesk repeatedly said that the cashback is only for first 300 successful applications only .. so not sure if I can get it? ... but will get RM50 for government tax rebate. My first transaction on that card is on 31 May.

It would be good for those who applied earlier to advise if they got the RM188 cashback ... maybe it is just a marketing gimmick?

T&C mentioned only will get RM188 (if entitiled) after 4-8 weeks; from 1 retail usage (which I think covers any transaction) ...

So you will be leading me in that first 300 user list .. notworthy.gif Let us know if you receive the RM188 cashback.

I received my card today.

Called to CS to confirmed whether i am entitle for the "RM 188 cash back" and "guarantee free gift" promotion.
CS told me that i downloaded my application form online and even though submit through branch, it's consider as online application as the form was downloaded online ==

Henceforth, i am not eligible for the above promotions and only can get RM 50 cash back upon first swipe (generic promotion) ==

Before ending the conversation, the CS say will help me try to convert back the tagging as "manual submission"; but there is no guarantee for it....

SIGH~!

Latest update for the SMS TRansaction Alert minimum threshold.
I've receive a call from their CS Manager this evening.
She mentions their system will be updated by end of June 2014 to support lower than current RM100 threshold.

We shall wait and see.... BNM really can move things around.

That is good. BNM has yet to respond to my email.

When I made a booking with AirAsia early this morning, I received OTP for the payment. However, I did not receive any SMS alert for the transaction itself.

Is this the same for other bank's credit card, that there will be no SMS if you already receive the OTP.

Did the CS mention the June 2014 dateline to get it done ?

Actually why need to wait so long to change RM100 to RM1 in their system ? Even if it's hard-coded, just amend the number and re-compile. i.e. 1-hour programmer job.

Thanks to ronnie for the pbebank sign up guide. Otherwise I really not enough brain power to figure out to use their website.

Easily the worst website I have ever seen/used.

Now.. after login..I realize there's no line by line transactions.. or am I missing it and its hidden somewhere?
EDIT: found it. under "View latest statement"

It is confusing, cause I am not viewing statement, I am viewing unbilled transactions.

I've also receive a Feedback Form from Public Bank to comment on their PBB Card Services. Very interesting indeed. At least PBB willing to listen to their customers.... There's also a free gift after you have submitted via Snail Mail (prepaid envelope)

The RM150 cash back promo will be credited within 4-8 weeks after the end of each subsequent month. Meaning if I fulfill the condition in June, it will only be credited 4-8 weeks from 31st July?

PBB Visa Signature card comes with Visa payWave, which makes your payment quick and easy by swiping your card on the reader. But there is a security concern as someone (with a card reader) is able to get close enough to steal data from your card.

We can buy a RFID blocking wallet, or make your own. Tutorial on youtube http://youtu.be/I9YgoMN4dK0

My version is not a wallet, but a special pocket for the PBB card (see attached image). Materials used are aluminum foil and cellophane tape, thanks to my girlfriend who is the brainchild behind. Tested on payWave reader and it works~

Yes, same effect.

Aluminium foil is easily torn, so I used cellophane tape to cover it inside out as a protection layer.

After submitting application, IVR should have the "in process" after 3 working days...
Mine approved on 06/06 and my 3rd card no is 1025...
2 weeks processing time...
I go for the RM388 as even though it's only rm150 cash back after rm1000 usage, it's sure get rather than the rm188 cash back for the first 300 new customers.

For Public Bank Fixed Deposit (FD) customers who opt to apply PB Credit Card secured
by FD, the credit line assigned will be based on the FD pledged amount at a ratio of 1:1.
To apply, please personally submit your application at your FD account holding branch
and bring along your FD certificate for verification and photostat copy of your NRIC (both
sides).

There is a box on the form asking whether the applicant want to receive the PIN or not (1st page). Usually I will not tick, but since PIN is going to be implemented in 2015, I ticked it this time.

Hi Ron,

I double checked with the PBCS in regard to eligibility of 6% rebate for online transactions. Here's their reply.

"Please be informed that you will enjoy the 6% rebate if it is a eCommerce transaction including bill payment/insurance (exclude transaction via www.pbebank.com).

Should you have further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Representatives at 03 2176 8000 (24 hours) for assistance."

Kinda contradicting against the one you'd got from the CS previously.

I'm same as you, got rejected. Today i went to appeal against the rejection as well as to pledge FD. The officer couldn't believe i got rejected. Then he ask his manager what to do. I offer to pledge my long time FD cert as pledge (30k) so he refer to card ctr. The officer then say "Ok i submit your FD for appeal and the manager will recommend you. 10 mins later the manager received fax from card ctr . Its my appeal follow up. Then the manager says that " Ok you come and collect your card next week. I will return your FD in 6 months! Thats what i like about PB. Highly efficient smile.gif

Problem now is that I "overspend" and can't identify which transactions is entitled to 6%. I called up the CS and they will revert back to me.

Ronnie, have you try to pay card bill online ? when i click at "pay this amount" which is actually the statement amount and try to pay using my saving account, it says "card added online" cannot do this, damn epic.

U can see transaction, u can view unbill transaction, it's part of your accounts at your name. But you cannot pay it online.

Apa lagi mau PB Bank !??

called cs with the non 1800 number, no choice, have to go bank to connects the accounts that is already connected.

What is the date of GST charged for your PBB VS ?

QUOTE
PART 1 of $388 online application promotion, to qualify for the RM150 Cash Back, the Qualified Cardmember must have charged on his principal credit card an accumulated retail purchase of RM1,000 and above within the first 2-months from the card approval date )
I did swipe >RM1000 in the first bill..... where's my RM150 ? Unless I'm getting the RM188 cash back instead.

I'm confused about the insurance premium paid online that will get you the 6% rebate. Does that mean the insurance company will need to have a portal for you to login to pay the premium? Just curious which insurance company has this option?

I get the cash back today. Basically get it for restaurant, kfc, aeon supermarket at 1u, online payment for maxis and astro at maxis and astro websites.  But no cash back for sogo supermarket.
*
for sogo supermarket, it will depend on the counter...sometime i got sogo(A), sogo (B), or sogo supermarket..

if got A or B, it will fall under departmental...i used wise, most of the time, i got full rebate under DEPT although i buy supermarket stuff... rclxms.gif

21-06-2014 21-06-2014 CASH BACK BONUS 60.00 CR

Now.. the card was issued in 19th May..and in May usage eligible for CB is RM7xx.

Usage in June eligible for CB is in excess of RM1xxx..

So now I'm wondering if I got CB for May or not?

In their T&C they say RM60 per month, following "month" I should be eligible but from statement doesn't look like it.

Guess I be calling them shortly.

EDIT: Read post #2, statement month wor.. but that is bullshit considering their own Product Disclosure Sheet says month.

https://www.pbebank.com/pdf/Cards/Visa-Sign..._signature.aspx

Guess I'll be contacting BNM to complain too!

I am glad to inform that AirAsia online booking received the 6% cashback. Can't list out the rest as maxed the quota.

I realized that we are not able to download the pdf copy of the e-statement. We need to register for it, and it will only take effect in the next billing. So for this month, anyone received the hardcopy version?

Just called Public Bank and I'm part of the Online Application RM388 Cash Back promotion.
Reason why I didn't get was the Insurance Premium paid is excluded from the RM1000 retail spending.

A bit more to go and I should be getting it in the next statement doh.gif

Insurance via online payment should be eligble for RM60 cashback.
What the others are discussing is the RM388 online application promo whereby one need to accumulate rm1k within 2 months to enjoy rm150 cashback.

On a side note, BT from AEON to PBB need 9 working days starting from form submission via email to cheque clearance.

According to their Customer Service when you call, it is statement date.

Based on their Product Disclosure Sheet, it is per month. I naik kereta already, now fcuking their CS. I am damn unhappy that their disclosure sheet is misleading and cost me over RM700 of wasted expenditure that I could have parked at other cards I own.

Bear in mind if you spend more after getting the RM60 rebate, you get nothing in online, dining and grocery category. NOTHING! Not even points. Do take note.

Hope none of you naik kereta like me icon_rolleyes.gif

Few ways of activating the card. You can 1) send the sms to a 5 digit no. (which I presume that's what you have done) or 2) call the cs to activate it.

option 1) - you will receive the sms saying that activation take 3 working days.

option 2) - cs will activate the card for you within 5 mins.

Suggest that if you want to use the card straight away without waiting, just call the cs to activate. I did option 1) on day 1, then day 2 i call cs to activate it coz i could not wait for 3 working days. The cs activate it for me on day 2 itself, hence i am not sure what is the result of the option 1) since it seems like taking forever for the activation.

I dont think so (in my opinion). I have collected my other cc from branch, which was issued by aeon and hong leong, both cc require activation, ie need to call cs to activate it. I am not aware of any cc that is activated upon collection from branch. It's best if you can call cs and check with them whether your cc is activated or not.

You need to call to activate. That's the fastest.

as i know, we can't pay insurance online (at least for ge at the moment). the most you can do is to auto-debit if you opt not to pay at the branch every month. but of course, if you use auto-debit feature, there is no 6% rebate for online payment.

I don't think Public Bank will call. I did not receive any call whatsoever. They just deliver the card to my address after approval. They also did not inform me if it was approved or not, I had to call and find out.

Yup, technically it's not a rebate but a special rm12 fee for 24-months BT instead. I need to BT so it's worth it.

I received the follow-up call around 4:45PM yesterday : All my transactions >RM1 will get SMS from 30 June 2014 onwards.

When I performed online transactions, I get the OTP SMS but not a SMS transaction alert upon completion of transaction (i.e. merchant page says OK).... is this normal for you as well ?

for the online transactions, think it's a standard norm as OTP had been send to one's registered phone no. and in order for the transaction to go thru, one need to key in the OTP. Therefore, it's sort of an acknowledgement by the account holder of the validity of the transaction.

swiping physically don't need OTP so a SMS had to be sent to notify one of any transaction occurred and for the account holder to contact the bank in case of unauthorized transactions.

Most banks have the below policy

Will there be a situation where customers won't receive an SMS alert for transactions?
Yes - they will not receive an SMS alert for transaction when:
1) the transaction amount is below the preset SMS alert threshold
2) the online transaction is performed through a 3D secure site
customers have opted not to receive SMS transaction alerts

I got my pins 2 weeks ago but I don't receive the card yet.
On my application letter, I ticked to have the card send to my office but when i talk to customer service this morning, she mentioned PB don't send card to office... If we need the card to be delivered to office, need to write in separately.

Now, I requested them to send the card to the nearest branch so I can go & collect it myself.. It will take additional one week

A bit disappointed with their service sad.gif

Try to check UOB PayOnline if there's any Insurance provider and use the PBB Visa Signature to pay...this way you get 6%

Technically, any form of online payment (even using other banks portal online which accept 3rd party cards) except thru pbebank portal in order to be eligible for the 6% rebate.
