0% 12-month BT for new applicants !!! Is theirs based on divide by 12 monthly installment ? Just the right time for my CIMB BT
*
One time only right? Their usual on-going is 3k/6 months?

http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/images/tc_acti.pdf

Need to spend 1k within 3 months, apply bt within 3 months, minimum 3k and up to 80% of CL.

btw conversion to Enrich miles is crap : 20,000 Public Bank VIP Points = 1,000 Enrich Miles

Based on alliance bank's 50% cash back dining deal early this year. it should be either 5812 or 5814. I called OCBC CS to check (before i swiped with my alliancebank  card tongue.gif) , but can't recall which 1 it was.
*
lol you got that too

it was 5814 based on what Alliance CS informed me.

Think the min credit limit for this card is rm30k.
*
i wonder if outstanding BT (not due) play a role in this.

they could have just asked for 30k FD as my CL, why need to discount 10%?

Payment for CC and loan are on time so far for past few years.

was told you need to pay stamp duty 0.5% of CL, meaning to pledge with FD for this card you need to pay RM150.

Huh !? Wasn't it should be RM10 .
*
no idea, anyone can clarify?

I went to PBB and this was informed by the customer service.

Also if you pledge it will be board rate, you cannot participate in any promo FD.

I've a question, if I pledge FD to apply for the cc. Does PBB lock down your FD?
*
yes and the rate will be based on board rate. Your FD cert will be retained by the branch. You cannot withdraw your FD unless you cut your card.

you also need to pay stamp duty of 0.5% of credit limit which means RM150 for this card. (Note Maybank only charge RM10) This was the information provided by a CS in PBB.

Let me know if your story is the other way round.
