Citi just called me, they said my card were shipped the end of June, should have received by now. They provide me Poslaju tracking number. It seems Poslaju didn't notify me since no one at home during office hour. Wonder why such big financial institution still using such lousy service by Poslaju.

citibank style is like that.. they hardly waive annual fees or offset gst(previously)..
Guess they are firm with it and they are not scare to lose customer like us...
so just cancel the card, if more and more cancel, when they see their credit card business drop, then only their mgmt will do new sign up offer to attract back customer

Absolutely ridiculous.

I have Citibank platinum card.

I have linked almost every utility and insurance to my credit card, every month also exceed RM 2K+ on charges alone. Pay also on time.

Suddenly this jokers decide to slap me with Annual Membership Fee and GST. So I called up and asked them to waive. Then this lady from Retention department told me is over already, they don’t have such waiver policy. She say she can offer me 50% waiver for both membership and GST. She say they need the money for “Enhancement” purposes and then she gave me a lecture for 5 long mins and in the end if want to know more please refer to web site.

After she finish talking, I told her to transfer me to settlement department cause I want full settlement. She keep asking for reasons and asked me to explain. I said don’t need to explain I want full settlement, is there any option to waive interest (last time I did this to CIMB, they waived RM 300 on interest charged). Tired of her, I told her to waive whatever and I will cancel my card later… I cut the line off after that.

15 minutes later, she called back and she told me that I should opt for free for life card instead if I don’t want to get slapped by charges. Also, she told me I need to make a request annually for waiver of annual membership and GST. (lol sudden change?).

Such underhand tactic of doing business. I don’t want to go through the hassle of getting approval or an argument like this.

Goodbye Citibank, I will go to some other bank who appreciates my debt.

Can cancel/terminate the card via call their online cs? Or need go to citibank branch?

I wanna say goodbye too. I spent a lot with my business platinum card and today I checked statement, RM200 annual fee +GST. Damn.
I have maybank, public bank and cimb all with good deal of cashback and balance transfer. Bye bye citibank!!!

i submitted a termination notice but their agent called back saying that I requested for AF fee waiver. Terus shoot back.

FYI, as Some of Us here the Citibank's CC holder do having 2 Separate Card Limit in 1 Card

it's refer as:

i) Credit Limit no.1 refer as (X)= is Your REAL Spending Limit Your MAX. CL can USED UP on Retail spend

ii) Cash Limit no. 2 refer as“Installment limit” (Y) = A Separate CL given to Cardholder can ONLY used for doing BT, Cash Advances, EZ Pay, Dial for Cash or Flexi- Payment Plan or any Installment Plan, with NO Touch Off Your Spending Limit (X) .

* Usually Cash Limit (Y) given to the Cardholder With HIGH CL or whoever having Cash Installment plan with Citibank before...

But anyway, I got 2' CC : Citi's Rewards Platinum with (X+Y), Cash Back Platinum with (X) just 1 Spending Limit... blink.gif

By Replied the Email, You will get NEW Spending Limit from Citibank as:

They will Convert/ transfer Partly of (Y) RM 68,700 to in (X) :
therefore ie, (X) + (Y) : $100,000 + $68,700 = $ 168,700 that's the NEW Spending Limit of Your CC brows.gif
