(Question for the Chinese)
If you received a credit card with number last two digit is 14 or 94 or 41 or 49,
Will you accept the card and use your card for everyday use?
I know 4 is a bad number for Chinese,

I ask this question because that is what i received from Citibank.
And now i don't use this card.

Citibank give me 7777 for last four blink.gif

is that possible for bank to waive GST? should i give it a try and call them biggrin.gif they help me waive my clear card annual d, i only use about 10k-15k a year, which is ~1k a month, i know this amount could be low

otherwise, i may just use my rewards points to exchange, it is enough for GST

I called them and they told me a whole truckload of nonsense saying that every year they have different offer from citibank regarding annual fee waiver and I must take some installment or balance transfer thingy only to be eligible and also I need to use my card more often and stuffs like that.

I just told her 2 things.

1. I wont accept your BT / installement bullshit
2. How many transactions is enough? I used my citibank cashback for 80% of my bills and transactions in a year and is the only credit card I use.

She apologize and told me to hang on while she check my past transactions and came back saying ok my AF waiver is approve...  sweat.gif

i guess they need us to use the card, i m also average 2k usage monthly... pay bills,petrol,groceries... maybe too low to them they dont want waive sometime.
i am ok for use point to redeem GST, but not AF because AF is direct to bank... which they can do something

GST will be charged on annual fees instead. Page 5 of the document, bottom paragraph.

is that mean if bank waive our AF, no GST can be charge since we are not paying AF biggrin.gif

other question, if bank waive AF means no extra money go into their profit for AF, so they dont need to give GST back to government right?
