This happened to me last year. The first CS rejected to waive my AF. I hung up and dialed the CS number again and the second CS waived my AF without much question.

If you haven't cancelled the card maybe you call again to try your luck.

Just cancel it immediately...

Just received my citibank cashback and platinum credit card. what happens if i dont activate one of the cards? would they cancel my card after a certain period of time?

i remember previous years, they have the option to waive annual fee from the answering machine...
now it's no longer there...have to speak wif the CS and she said this year there's no more waiver

I think it is case by case, They give me a condition to meet if want waiver, swipe 3 transactions and call back CS to waive the annual fee.

Hi all,

Last 2 weeks Citibank came to my office offered free backpack for applying cc. I applied and never received any feedback until just now, received call from Citibank to confirm my home address. Was it normal? My previous exp with other bank, they requested so many things. This one just called me to confirm home address only, yet never received any call from them through my direct-line office phone.

Still waiting for my code.

yeah after about 3 months.
for your security it is best to call to say they have sent the card without your permission and scold them to the max and then destroy the cards.

call cs and they don't want to waive for me at all after charge the annual fee,me at least spent 5k per month,but they told me if want free annual fee downgrade to choice card,this will me my last year with them,really disappoint.

As of 1st of July, in order to waive the annual fee. You can either
a) spend the cards 3 times (any amount)
b) spent a one time payment of min RM1500
Then you can call to request to waive the annual fee.

then today the cs call back ask me take 1 more card visa platinum got free lounge access.then cancel next year...i think oklah maybe she wan fight target and summore no need annual fees and gst. but i search up down dint see any visa platinum with lounge access???

i only submit income enough for platinum n not higher...those with lounge access alll min rm100k income.wonder which card she mean? anyone?
