so use the AMEX until you've spend RM1000, then use the Mastercard

use cash mean no TP at all..
at least use Visa/MC still got points..
unfinish cash will have to exchange money back to RM which will lose during exchange..

you see, you need 12,500 TPs to redeem a RM50 voucher. in order to obtain 12,500 TPs, you need to spend/swipe RM2,500 (2,500 X 5 = 12,500).

So, RM50/RM2,500 = 2%
Now, work the numbers the other way round:

Spend	AMEX 5X TPs	Equivalent Value
RM1	5	RM0.02
RM10	50	RM0.20
RM100	500	RM2.00
RM1,000	5,000	RM20.00
RM2,000	10,000	RM40.00
RM2,500	12,500	RM50.00

In short, you swipe RM2,500 to give you 12,500 TPs to redeem RM50 voucher.

Advantage: Higher equivalent-value in TPs than OCBC's.
Disadvantage: TP redemption only.
Now, let's compare OCBC's 1% cashback: To get RM50 cashback, you need to swipe RM5,000 using OCBC.

Advantage: Cashback can be used immediately to offset some of your cc outstanding. The more you spend, the more cashback you get, no limit.
Disadvantage: Low 1% cashback.
