Guys, a quick question for those have booked flights from MAS website before. I intend to book for my upcoming trip on one of the weekends (either later in the afternoon or next Saturday) and I noticed it accepts AmEx. Has anybody booked before and got the 5% weekend rebate?

Well, banks can't decide what they should do without prior information - they should go the logical way and not follow how their system is designed. If their system is doing the calculations later, then they should change it because they're serving the customer not the other way around. Otherwise, they should list it down or train their staff to inform applicants because right now I don't see any rebate as advertised. I feel cheated now. And I'm going to feel cheated until the 1st of March.

Yes I know it's correct - but a customer wants to see 5x points not a 4x + 1x points on their statement. If they want to make it 4x + 1x points then they better advertise it the same way they put it on the statement.

Yes, but for my case, even the first step(charge rm10) also get blocked. Now MBB are quite strict on this. So, give MBB a call before you want to do anything with Paypal.
BTW, using treatpoints to waive GST is how much? I see their website are slightly different.

MSOS is for visa and MasterCard only. Amex never have MSOS.

I used my Amex to reload my Starbucks card (RM 150) on 2 March. But as of today (after 9 days), this transaction has not shown up in my Maybank2u statement.

Anyone experienced such a delay? I plan my spending to get as close as RM1k every month (usually will load the balance few ringgit in my UniFi or TNB bill), so it better show up soon so I know that I have RM150 less to spend this month on the card.

Are the 5% and 5x point apply for oversea too?
Or to use the master card as it have better rate and lower service charge?

Guys, I understand that if you use Paypal to Paypal to buy stuff using AMEX I need to pay after 2PM @ Saturday IIRC to get the 5% rebate.

How about if I pay directly with the card? Do I need to wait until certain before I perform transaction if I buy something from a place with different timezone?

movie oso got 5% rebate? as i know only petrol, touch and  go and maybank2u bills. how bout giant, tesco, etc etc? also entitle 5% cash rebate?

Eh just applied last month by pledging FD of RM5000 for Gold card.
