QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 29 2014, 03:37 PM) here's a simplified table: Amex's 5X TPs is equivalent to 2% (in TPs), higher than OCBC Ti's 1% (in cashback).
If you plan majority of your spending on weekends, you'll gain more using Amex than Visa/MC. Amex's 5X TPs is equivalent to 2% (in TPs), higher than OCBC Ti's 1% (in cashback). Effectively, Amex in weekends give you 5% in cashback and 2% in TPs, that's 7% worth of gain each month.. If you have other cards to complement, e.g. OCBC Titanium or HLB Wise, then use those for weekdays and/or higher spending. some recommended readings: http://generationsxyz.blogspot.com/2012/02...an-express.html http://generationsxyz.blogspot.com/2013/12...edit-cards.html I dont understand about this. is it weekday got 2% cash back ? |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 31 2014, 01:44 PM) it's equivalent value only, not cold hard cash. hmm.. thanks alot.you see, you need 12,500 TPs to redeem a RM50 voucher. in order to obtain 12,500 TPs, you need to spend/swipe RM2,500 (2,500 X 5 = 12,500). So, RM50/RM2,500 = 2% Now, work the numbers the other way round:
In short, you swipe RM2,500 to give you 12,500 TPs to redeem RM50 voucher. Advantage: Higher equivalent-value in TPs than OCBC's. Disadvantage: TP redemption only. Now, let's compare OCBC's 1% cashback: To get RM50 cashback, you need to swipe RM5,000 using OCBC. Advantage: Cashback can be used immediately to offset some of your cc outstanding. The more you spend, the more cashback you get, no limit. Disadvantage: Low 1% cashback. so in another meaning, weekend will get extra 2% rebate right? if weekday only 5x treatpoint. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Apr 7 2014, 03:14 PM) check this topic instead. sure, thanks alot.https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1803385/latest Petronas Kinrara accept cc reload for TnG. Amex accepted. 1% cash surcharge, so, still worth it paying with Amex. I did my RM400 TnG reload last month. can i know where is kinrara petronas? opposite bukit jalil golf club or much further? as i know along bukit jalil highway from lumba kuda to puchong, there are 1 shell and 1 petronas opposite golf club. and also 1 caltex nearby kinrara mrt development and 1 shell as well. if from puchong to bukit jalil, 1 petronas and 1 shell petrol station. so i assume the petronas is the 1 from puchong to bukit jalil right? beside all the second hand car / recond car shop and furniture shop correct me if i am wrong |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 7 2014, 03:29 PM) yes, not many petrol station accept amex for tng. so far only heard (still accepting) one petronas charges 1% and one caltex charges 3% for tng with amex. because normally top up with cash, there are 50 cent surcharge. not so sure with amex / cc as well.if you can get 50 cents charge for payment with amex, that would be the best. another way to get tng rebate is to use aeon watami cc for 3% rebate at tng hubs or selected plus toll cs. i just get maybank2card, dont plan to get much cc if not spend over then facepalm |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Apr 7 2014, 03:32 PM) Google Map http://goo.gl/maps/2qQNx ya i am right.it's nearer to LDP/Sunway Toll than coming from Bukit Jalil/TPM cuz u need to make a u-turn back. argh like tis if i come from sunway, how i get to there? because normally i take the bridge on right hand side and keep left then go to bukit jalil. i dont think is possible for me to get myself to there even through i take left hand lane / under bridge and wait for traffic light? the traffic light will lead me to puchong |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Apr 7 2014, 03:40 PM) yes, go up the bridge, and keep left heading to Bukit Jalil. but if not mistaken, the traffic light will lead us to puchong but not bukit jalil right? if traffic light turn green, we need to turn right? Always keep left and you'll see the Petronas. Be careful on this left turn cuz there are speeding cars coming from left lanes (those who took the "under the bridge" roads from Sunway or coming from Puchong). I think to be safer, take left lane (before going up the bridge/flyover). stopped for a while at the main crossroads below (traffic lights). Go further ahead past traffic lights, and keep left instead. This way, you wont have conflicting cars hitting you or still can turn left to bukit jalil highway? been long time nvr stop at traffic light. haha |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 7 2014, 03:46 PM) yes, if you take left lane under bridge, it will lead you to a left turn to puchong. then you will need to u-turn back and turn left towards the kinrara furniture street. u mean follow the traffic light and go to puchong and make a turn? just like go to ioimall? if yes, then quite troublesome. haha |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Apr 7 2014, 04:42 PM) Don't go there on purpose. Only when you're nearby, e.g. Subang, Subway Pyramid/Lagoon, IOI Mall, etc. It cost me RM5+ of tolls just to go there, so I only plan my reload if I got activities at Pyramid. QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 7 2014, 06:19 PM) or if you have any programs around puchong like ioi mall, boulevard, setiawalk, etc. doesn't cost extra toll from puchong to kinrara furniture street. hahaha. sure. if not cost me 1.6 x 2 just for the toll |

QUOTE(ckyow1 @ Apr 10 2014, 07:24 PM) I used amex to pay my unifi bill every month during the weekend through maybank2u. You will enjoy both 5x treat points and 5% rebate. Take note not all bills can pay through amex. Depend on which company you refer to and whether they accept amex or not. QUOTE(Human Nature @ Apr 10 2014, 07:29 PM) mostly tnb and streamyx. gonna help me fren etc to pay and earn 5x rebate. haha |
