I used my Amex to reload my Starbucks card (RM 150) on 2 March. But as of today (after 9 days), this transaction has not shown up in my Maybank2u statement.

Anyone experienced such a delay? I plan my spending to get as close as RM1k every month (usually will load the balance few ringgit in my UniFi or TNB bill), so it better show up soon so I know that I have RM150 less to spend this month on the card.
*
yeah, Starbucks is slow posting the transaction in M2U.

I swipe on 1 Mar (Sat). The transaction only show up in M2U on Tuesday (4 Mar). Luckily, Transaction Date = 1 March. Posting Date = 2 March.

I was wondering what the heck happened to my Starbucks transaction. Called up CS, they say my Starbucks transaction was in "floating" mode, hence not showing in M2U. Most likely Starbucks didnt release the transaction fast enough.

'bout Unifi, rest assured. It goes thru immediately. No abnormal delay too.

You might as well just deduct RM150 from you expenditure, rarely will the bank "forget" to charge you for your usage. Besides, Reabte is for the whole month so 2nd March transaction rebate is counter through March... there is still 20 days to go in this month... so relax  biggrin.gif

i am unlucky this month. Swiped for about RM965 on 1 March alone. Miscalculated that I need to pay Unifi!

As of today, my CB quota already hit RM49.99. FML doh.gif

3 more weekends to pump petrol (estimated RM4.50 CB "loss"). Now stop all retail spending until April come sweat.gif

p/s: At petrol pump, how do you set a fixed amount before pumping? Still couldnt figure it out LOL blush.gif

As far as I know, just swipe at the petrol counter. Used to do that when the automated dispenser CC machine broke down.

some automated fuel dispenser cannot set a fixed amount. for those can, you just press the number to set it.
also, some can set the cents (for eg. rm20.33) while others can only set the ringgit (for eg. rm20.00).

i can control my spending to sub-1K per month. mbb2amex is darn good for me liao.

i cannot, however, spend so much just to qualify for 10xRM50 per transaction in a month. if no such qualifier, i'd have gotten this card longggggg time ago.

my spending behavior: petrol pump in a week is around 30-35, enough for around 300KM, and with some to spare. telco bill is <RM30 per line (postpaid). seldom dine out or doing groceries (1-2 times per month only). no utilities bill to pay (due to low usage, already subsidized fully by tnb/syabas).

most of my high-spending (every few months) is not in WISE's cashback category (computer parts, car accessories). Unifi is not qualified for cashback. splitting bills to 3xRM50 is not "wise" considering i can easily get around RM7.50 cashback with mbb2amex already. WISE give me none.

so WISE is not practical for my spending. brows.gif thumbup.gif banks doesnt make much money from me via credit card sweat.gif bottom line, i save more by spending less.

Well, my monthly spending are same as you. But I still get 2 cards.
But after I have 2 cards. The amount of money I give to my parents are lesser as I help paying their utilities bill and groceries.

Hi everyone.. I have a tricky question here about converting credit card into cash with minimise cost by using Maybank Amex... I need the help from you all to answer whether my explanation is correct or wrong..

First, register two paypal account under your name. second, top up one of your paypal account by using Maybank Amex during weekend to enjoy 5% cash back. (ie: RM1,000)
Next, withdrawal the money that you transfer to your second paypal account to any local bank in Malaysia. (with fees 3.9% +RM2 reduction).

Overall, we still gain because the fees we paid was RM39+RM2=RM41, but the cash back we earn was RM50! and at the same time... we get the cash!

Any idea anyone?

yeah, for me, i wanted to pay my parent's utility bills too but my father prefer to get bill first before paying. We had many times tnb/syabas double-charged us becaue they didnt capture previous month's payment and automatically assume we didnt pay at all. Many times we've gone to the offices just to dispute the bills vmad.gif
