Don't get carry away with cheap price and regret later.

Recommend to get MY set Y50 as per specs in post#1.
Y4o local set is not yet available but rumors ETA in August.
Check out post #5 to identify local set or grey imported set.

but our tax rebate too good to let go

so the model with DOS after install windows 8 you need to install all the drivers yourself which is provided in a Lenovo install CD right?

Does anyone here have the Dos version? I'm assuming u have the same driver cd as I do. I want to know if the 14th driver which is the REGISTER driver, ran well on ur computer. Mine just appears as a black window with white words and then it just disappears in like one second. What issue is this?

Its comes with Atheros Communications AR9565 Wireless Network Adapter, and i discover the LCD panel is crap.
I think lenovo budget went to speaker and graphic card.....

Difference is processor i7 4700, LCD panel Chimei , hdd 1TB hybrid 8gb hdd, and cheapest price survey is around 3100+-

The command inside is tweak the power settings and configure computers to default to Hibernate or Standby modes.
But i not really sure what it actually does....

You should be happy you got the AUO panel. Some y50 owners in US got Chimei Screen which is reported worse than AUO.
