Next generation Y series Y50-70, portable dual fans gaming powerhorse with maxwell GTX860m.
Beware of grey imported US set(AP set) with 1 yr warranty BUT without local support as reported

Identify MY set and AP set in post#3.

Tips & recommend upgrade options for peace of mind:
Register the 2 yrs carry-in warranty on-line with supporting docs HERE after 1 to 1 exchange period.
Else it will default as 1 yr from manufacture date. U can ask reseller to help.
2 yrs extend to 3 yrs Onsite Warranty RM200
2 yrs extend to 3 yrs carry-in Warranty RM100
1 yr extend to 3 yrs Onsite Warranty RM300
1 yr extend to 3 yrs carry-in Warranty RM190

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Ensure its official MY set before open the sealed (not tampered) box.
Ask reseller for their 1 to 1 exchange policy with them, duration & covers for cosmetic/hardware issues.
Ask resellers help to upgrade RAM, SSD/SSHD+OS, IPS FHD LCD, etc to save the hassle.
Check thoroughly for cosmetic/hardware issues untill u fully satisfy before payment ie:
- any dead/stuck pixels, screen bleeding, panel/touchpad gap.
- scratches, build quality, touchpad, keyboard, etc.
- loose hinge, all ports/ switch/ fan/ wifi are functioning.
- not display/rejected set with fingerprint, dust, wear & tear at bottom.

Identification for official local set Y50-70:
Beware of grey imported US set(AP set) with 1 yr warranty BUT without local warranty support.

Sticker on box Look for "MY" sign ie. Y50-70xxxxxxxxxxMY
Sticker on box local set part No. as in post #1, ie Y50/DOS(59-422941), Y50/W8.1(59-418017), etc.
Sticker on box spec same as local set as in post#1.
Power cord UK cord (3 pin) and not US cord (2 pin).
Laptop sirim sticker at bottom of laptop.
Warranty local set all come with 2 yrs warranty support & not 1 yr US set(AP set).

Did anyone else bought any notebook from devour at this thread?

I have bought a Y410p since last year June together with the warranty upgrade.

Until now haven't receive any news, already inboxed him over the issue multiple times, everytime tell me Lenovo haven't process and other reasons.

Just checked on Lenovo's site, still showing 2 years warranty. vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif

Saw a dispute thread on him as well.

I suggest you check with Lenovo website about warranty upgrade period. Usually, warranty upgrade can be done within certain days from purchase. I am not sure for Lenovo, but Illegear is within 90 days.

Better call them directly, faster. I dont think warranty upgrade should take that long period (7 months for your case). Right now you talk to Lenovo first, make sure prepare enough info to them to trace your laptop purchase, if Lenovo reply you "warranty upgrade in progress", you can complaint Lenovo. If Lenovo say your laptop "receive no warranty upgrade since purchase", then you can raise a dispute against devour.

In the past few months, I had tried pm and whatapps him .
He only will replied "Ok" , "Will check for you" , "Almost done". rclxub.gif

In the end , no news about the warranty extend from him until now. doh.gif

I am afraid the v3 thread will become dispute thread against devour.....

Just call Lenovo directly, if you confirm as I what I write on last post, then raise a dispute thread against devour. Bcs all of you have paid money for upgrade warranty

Does anyone here experienced blurred out display fonts in Windows 8.1 device manager running on Y510p? Tested both new units out of the box, same issue.

Windows or Y510p issue?
