I think is the Nvidia Optimus doesnt recognize which software to use dGPU (GTX860) instead they use iGPU (intel hd).

Try force any software to run on GTX860 - try go to Nvidia settings if right click method doesnt work.

im already forcing things like chrome to run with gtx860 but still blur

Can anyone with Y50 do me a favor.

Open Dota2 --> Go to setting -->Video/Audio --> Set Display mode as Fullscreen --> Create lobby with cheat on --> play that lobby and spam skill (KOTL for illu for example) --> any keyboard unresponsiveness/delay

When I set to fullscreen, I notice when I press Q for spam skill, sometimes it can and sometimes it doesn't, I need to press so many times just to activate skills.

Is there any problem with my y50 keyboard? T_T

I think its just a scaling problem. I have changed the size. Now the blur apps are sharp but the interface is slightly smaller

Some icons not optimized for HD it seems.

Gaming performance is good so far. Tested with l4d2 max settings very smooth
Downloading more intense games like metro last light

why my earphone cannot fit into the earphone socket on my Y50??? there are 2 holes which one is for earphone ?the one closer to the screen must be the headset socket but somehow my earphone cannot fit into the socket! Why ah????? and what is the outer one for???

Is ur headphone jack can be plug in to normal mp3 player or smart phone? It should be standard 3.5mm jack.

my headphone is the one i bought for my smartphone and previous laptop. It is the one with the 3 black lines

i have a feeling its a manufacturing problem

nope... just get IPS screen. good enough for gaming. also you probably wont realize the difference when you see the 4k screen

smart phone headphone a bit different from normal stereo headphone for 3.5mm jack. i remember that
smart phone - 3 black lines (TRRS type)
stereo headphone - 2 black lines.

if not mistaken for the 3 black line is earphone and microphone combine, thats why additional section.
for normal stereo got 2 lines 3 sections; one left audio, one right audio and another return.
for TRSS type, one left audio, one right audio, one microphone and last one return.

since the laptop come with separate microphone and earphone jack,
you might want to try the headphone with the 3.5mm jack of two black lines, 3 sections type, instead of TRSS jack.

seem like your y50 is using a combined audio jack.
that's mean your 3 lines jack should be able to plug in.

for combined jack, you still can use stereo headphone but no microphone only.

i want to ask regarding the dos version, is it possible to install windows 7 by just inserting the CD in? is there anywhere i can follow to install drivers after installing windows 7? i may want to get the dos version due to budget =/. thanks in advance!

Yes, you can install win7 by inserting the DVD. As for the driver, there's a webpage in the CD which you can open and install one-by-one. Install all of them...

I doubt so. I was told that as long as the item is a normally upgradeable part, it shouldn't void the warranty (e.g. ram).

I cannot confirm this though but it would be good to pose the question to the service center folks at level 4, low yat.
