Planning to get the FHD one, but not sure when and where to buy... Also don't know the Windows 8.1 model or the FreeDOS model plus separate Windows which one will be cheaper... See see first haha.

I guess tomorrow PC Expo in mv Lenovo won't sell Y50 that soon right?

Its cheaper to get DOS version and use the extra cash to upgrade to SSD and 3 yrs onsite warranty.
Clean install of OS is better and easy to kaotiam lah.

I doubt pc expo will sell it so soon, better go to lowyat to test the display unit.

1 let down for me is no hybrid HD

No money upgrade SSD lah, me poor haha. Maybe will go Digital Mall see see first since easier to go than Lowyat for me.

Awaiting your report on whether there's Y50 in PC Expo or not (or other good stuffs ^^).

Sad to report no y50 but y510p with single and dual gt755 available with plenty of free gift. 3399 / 3999. Plenty of booth though to keep you tired here

It looked upright in my gallery The usual pendrive and other i dont remember but a year of antivirus (norton or kaspersky dont remember). Even the legit lenovo shop in mid said stock will arrive in maybe 1 week. Any other place y50 available?

i have just purchased the DOS version and installed win 8.1 pro. All for 3800, What do you guys think? is it expensive?
I wanted to wait for the 4k Ips display, but i seriously do not think 4k is required at this moment coz win 8.1 still can't scale properly and it's impossible to game at 4k.
And it's capped at 48hz refresh rate/frames per sec!! even if you change the resolution to 1980x1080, it's the same!

So i think i'm just gonna upgrade to 512 SSD and get another 8gb ram. Any recommendations?
