Hello there. Any body here know the retail price of the y50 in China? I might want to fly to China to buy the y50, if the price is cheaper than expected (<RM3700) & cover the cheap airasia flight, at least...huhu

From my calculation (the price in SG & USA), I would say the price for y50 is expected to be starting at RM3599 upwards. Expected arrival in Malaysia would be starting somewhere end-July to Mid-August & become available widely around September14...

And if I'm not mistaken, the warranty in China is international warranty...

Huhuhu, I guess my calculation & guessing kena... Starting price is RM3599... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Hello there.

For me, better buy the dos version, then install the os you wanted. From many review, pre-installed lenovo y50 got lots of bloatware...

Actually, to be fair, yes, there quite tiresome as you need to do some tweaking to the nvidia driver if you're to install windows 7. Please read below

Just follow these steps from other forum ( I can't confirm that it worked for Malaysian y50, try and error loh...)

Step 1

#Post number #638 --> Here

Step 2 ( nvidia driver setting )

#Post number #4760 --> Here

Just got the DOS version today just now, damn installing drivers one by one is a pain. Why don't they have an installer suite that settles everything in one go.

Yeah, there is a CD but the drivers inside are all standalone .exe files. Youll need to do it one by one for each stuff etc wlan, camera, chipset, vga.
