Gynecomastia surgery, the cure for man boobs!

I've searched the net for quite a number of plastic/cosmetic surgery clinics(in Malaysia), some were convincing and some looked really expensive.
And there were reviews on uncertified doctors/plastic surgeons, beautician disguise as doctors and bad surgeries outcomes.
Then there is the cost, so far it would cost around 9K-11K.

May i know where(in malaysia) is the best place to do this gynecomastia surgery aka man boobs surgery. icon_question.gif
Best in results of surgery n price(reasonable). Mostly result.

Maybe some would recommend exercising to lose fat and build chest muscle with push-ups n stuff.
trust me, i've tried, for years. i've nearly went underweight when trying to lose the man boobs, and i can do 50 consecutive push-ups.
im 24 years old, 168 cm tall, n weighs 60kg.

this got lil to do with fat.
it is mainly bcoz of the development of breast tissue - that shouldnt happen to men.
so, it would need a surgery to cut it out.

i really hope u guys could help me out here icon_question.gif

Why not try building chest from weight lifting? Healthier and less expensive.

I've tried losing fat and working out for years.
But it wont just do it. No workout going to destroy those breast tissues.

Re evaluate all your food consumption and see whether you have any soy based ingredients in it. Soy has some oestrogen hormone in it, which could lead in developing those breast tissue in the first place.

And see other food that might have oestrogen in it and avoid like a plague!

Gynecomastia can't be eliminated with exercise, surgery the only way, If you are on a tight budget, you can get the surgery at goverment Hospital or semi-goverment, I did in PPUM and it cost me RM500 for surgery, goverment hospital will be more cheaper but the waiting period will be longer, you also need to spend for follow-up treatment to remove the blood after the surgery for every 2 days until the the boobs fully recover.

Wow, RM500 is relatively cheap la. How long your hospital stay was after surgery and follow up treatment was for? Any complications so far? Who was the doctor who did your surgery? Sorry so many questions but need to ask lor.

You are very right, gynaecomastia cannot be eliminated by exercise only. nod.gif

by the way, if that is your real profile pic after surgery, then surgery is the way to go man tongue.gif

The hospital discharged me after I woke up from surgery( PPUM semi Gov Hos- doc will not simply hold the patient), follow-up treatments for every 2 days to remove the blood, the blood will keep accumulate until the flesh inside the boobs fully recovered, this side-effect is called SEROMA and it's very normal, it took me 2 month to fully recovered. The pictures taken before surgery, mine one not very obvious except for nipples part, 4 out of 5 docs said I don't hv gynaeco.

- a nurse told me my chest looks better before surgery, now I hv flat chest doh.gif

Haven't any of you seen an endocrinologist or at least a physician ?

The doctor will do a full blood workup and hormonal profile first.

If your gynecomastia is not that bad and caused by androgenic imbalances,
you could try antiandrogens or aromatase inhibitors, such as tamoxifen
and raloxifene.

If your gynecomastia is the ''true'' type, i.e. caused by hormonal imbalance,
typically an excess of estrogen over testosterone, then chrysin, the flavonoid
supplement extracted from passionflowers, a favourite of bodybuilders as
a natural aromatase inhibitor, can also help.

Chrysin, like other flavonoids, is however not very well absorbed.

This guy here recommends a combination of these three :

Chrysin
I3C (indole 3-carbinol), or DIM (diindolylmethane)
Calcium d-glucarate, also used by bodybuliders

http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/gynecoma...tml#post1815274

http://www.iherb.com/search?kw=chrysin#p=1

http://www.iherb.com/search?kw=dim#p=1

http://www.iherb.com/search?kw=i3c#p=1

http://www.iherb.com/search?kw=calcium+d-glucarate#p=1

If however, it is pseudo gynecomastia as described here, then chrysin,
tamoxifen and raloxifene won't work, and you should then try exercise,
weight loss or lastly, liposuction/surgery.

You can ask the doctor to give 2 months MC and it's considered under hospitalization.

it just take less than 5 min per session, but make sure you come early in the morning to avoid hassle in the breast clinic.

1.As i mentioned, in PPUM
2. It depends on how many patients and the severity, as we all know, cancer patients have high priority in surgery waiting list. I waited for a month after first appointment.
3. Yes, it does.

Oh that's cool laugh.gif Great advice to go early. It's gonna be super awkward for a guy in the breast clinic sweat.gif sweat.gif

Did the doctor advise you not to do any vigorous activities? Especially working out?

After working out for 4 years, i think you hav done watever possible.
Perhaps it's time to consider surgical intervention as a last resort.
Hav you found out wat r the side effects and complications?

I strongly recommend if you have money now don't wait too long just do it now. Don't think too much. Trust me you will not regret. For a better results you need to wait at least 1or 2 years after the surgery and definitely you can't see the result immediately.. so don't waste your time dudes. One thing please chose the right and experiences doctor which really specializing on this treatment. There are cases that after the surgery it does not goes well. So be careful.

Only experienced doctors can determine how bad your boobs is. There are different types of procedures. You can't simply decide to remove all your breast tissue here. Sometime its only need a simple lipo procedure. Those experienced doctor will know that. So my advice is see those expert to correct your chest. Key words here "Don't Shy" to see them.

That is normal. Of course if you want to see a better results you need to be patient and you will see the improvement after 6 mths or 1 year. Yes it takes time but it works for me!

Is it worth it? After the surgery how long you need to follow up at the hospital?

And one more , is it pain ?
*
I know how u feel bro.. it same to me last time.. u know what, I started my swimming lesson after I see the fully changes on my chest part.. and I also shop a lot of tshirt for myself.. damn feel so good.. Now I feel so regret because I keep delaying this process and I just wasted my time.. I been waiting for 7 years to make this decision because I feel so trauma after I watch the surgery in youtube.

If you ask me worth or not.. its worth it.. trust me you will no regret to spend your money for this procedure.. everytime I see a mirror it made me forget about the 10K.. I just wasted my money hired personal trainer at gym to reduce it but it didnt works at all..

I feel not pain.. maybe my overall body can take it.. but of course if you press it u can feel it.. but this only happen for first 3 months.. after that it keep reducing.. and you will smile alone everytime you see a mirror..

About the follow up only one time.. after that no more.. even I remove the stitches at the normal clinic..

Good luck bro!

That is normal. Of course if you want to see a better results you need to be patient and you will see the improvement after 6 mths or 1 year. Yes it takes time but it works for me!
*
Need wait so long?

Someone posted before his results post surgery. He looks normal like a man after 2-3 months post surgery.

Do you need to go back for the follow-up treatment for SEROMA ?

Yes.. for a better results 12 mths..

2-3 mths, perhaps in his case only a minor correction. But normally doctor will advise you to wait at least 6 to 12 mths for the results.

Seroma - No..

Ok noted bro.

I am going to PPUM to cure my man-boobs

You can ask the doctor to give 2 months MC and it's considered under hospitalization.

it just take less than 5 min per session, but make sure you come early in the morning to avoid hassle in the breast clinic.

Less than one hour.If you think it's dangerous, then don't do it, simple as that. If that doc weren't available, would you proceed with another doc?, if yes, I don't see any point giving you the doc name..If you have so many requests, I would recommend you to proceed with private, they would say the same thing as I said to you.

Follow up,1day after surgery-1week-1week-1month later,my last follwup will be on 2june.

i do it at alps medical centre,Menara See Hoy Chan....but my surgery is liposuction gynecomastia, which mean the doctor just suck fat from my chest area.(see the video below,my surgery no glandular removal)

no night stay, after operation i can go home

The doctor said i can see good result after 6week,mean on 25may,and my next follow up will be on 2june 17...

my chest is smaller now,i can wear normal tshirt or jersey, its look much better than before, but its still swollen and still feel a sore pain around chest area.

however i still got a puffy nipples, hopefully after 1month its gone...(maybe becuase it still swollen up)

Note to you, if you want to make this surgery make sure u know what is your gyne condition, there is many type...

i suggest try this:
https://www.mydoc.asia/clinic/davinci-clinic-kl

their consultation is cheaper,just rm30..

my condition before is like this videos:but not this bad:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm1ba3dbWeQ&list=WL&index=23

dont rush up,take your time, even after consultation,go home and think again.

(this copypaste from message i send to someone)

Which private clinic/hosp are good for the case and reasonable price?

first go to normal clinic for checking and confirm with doctor that you have gyne problem, ask dr to write letter about the problem.
bring letter to ppum and meet doctor at breast clinic.

Actually, i did go to ppum, they do checkup and ask me to do follow up with assunta to do scanning chest(i dont know what it call),
after that dr ask me to come back for follow up,but i didnt go because some problem at that time.

which department you go to meet dr?

Actually i went to PPUM General Clinic department. The doctor examine my body. And she said mine is not bad because when i lay flat, the roundness is not obvious although she did said my case is very mild condition. Maybe just they have a lot other priorities patients rather than entertaining me 😅
She adviced me to go to private clinic/hosp if i still insist of doing. Maybe i will do that. For now i just need to lower my fat percentage and wear compression singlet. So if u guys want to order compression singlet can hit me up ok

Well, instead go to specialist you go to general clinic, what do you expect they will said...maybe you should go again, follow my advice above,if you got money than you can proceed with private clinic.

What that dr said to you sound very rude to me.if what you got is gyne, than whatever diet yo do to lower your fat % wont work, becuase this hormone problem,it not just like fat in your belly or other place,if you go to gym and done extreme regime workout, you will have nice body but chest area still gyne prob.

And wearing compression singlet is just temporary solution, you still got that problem hiding behind it.

Just my 2cent,you decide whats next.

Hi Guys, I have to share my experience recently.

I been to PPUM Surgical Clinic on

- 11 May 17, nurse told me to go to normal clinic check first and come back here on Wednesday 24 or 31 May 17 8.30am, because 17May breast and plastic doctor both have exam.

-On 13 May 17, I went to a clinic near my house to ask the Dr help me check, he said not serious, but I insist him to write a referral letter to surgical clinic PPUM which he did.

-On 24 May 17, I went back to PPUM surgical clinic 8.30am, nurse took my letter and ask me wait at the bench. I didnt have chance to see the doctor. Then the nurse told me doctor said go take Ultrasonic screening and report and come back again on 7June 17 11am.

-On 24 May 17 evening, i went to KPJ imaging department, doctor use some gel apply on my chest, screen here and there like scan for baby. Took the report with pictures, and paid RM 163.

Will update again after i went back to PPUM.

Good luck guys.

Some info about Gynecomastia

It has two types (silly me took years to notice):
1) Pseudo , just fat which can be removed with exercise/lipo
2) Gland, this one will stay forever unless surgically removed (I exercised till I can see my abs but still there)

You may refer to the video here (a lil bloody but it gives you an idea what is hiding underneath your puffy nipple):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sLkuFmp3KY

Mine is #2 one side / unilateral, got mine done below 3k @ Dr Cheong You Wei, Cheras in about an hour time. Still recovering. If you have some spare cash, do check him out. Usually he does not charge consultation fees and most of the treatments are very affordable.

Dear all,

Good day. Let me continue update my journey to PPUM,

-On 7 June 17, 11am I'm at PPUM surgical clinic. Wait for 3 hours until my turn to see the breast surgeon. The doctor actually very polite, examine my chest and my balls as well, said i'm perfectly normal in term of hormone. My gynecomastia ultrasound and report written my case is very minor about 1cm only for the tissue underneath my nipple, thus the breast surgeon reject to help me do the surgery since it is minor case. Since I wish something can be done on the structure of my chest, he transfer me to the plastic surgeon which I have made appointment on 21 Aug 17.

Go to Jalan Manis 3 Cheras next to 99 speedmart. If you worry about parking, park inside Leisure mall and walk over there. Would recommend you to call them/visit their website to book an appointment: http://www.drcheongyouwei.com/

:- Wow that's the cheapest one I seen all this year .. Just to confirm the total cost of the operation cost around rm 3000.00 is it ???

Hi, I had my surgery done at CHEONG PLASTIC SURGERY CLINIC in Cheras. It costs me 5800 for the surgery + 500 for a compression garment. My surgery consists of excisions and liposuctions for both sides. After the surgery i just drove back home. It was done under local anesthesia, meaning i was awake the whole time (2hours surgery).

Sorry i wish to know what's going to happen on 21Aug2017. I have a question which is when the doctor indicates your problem is not that serious, they will refuse to have surgery for you?

Hi guys, hopefully this step by step explanation will help anyone who is having this problem. Right so the first step is to go to ppum and ask for a referral letter to do a ultrasound screening of the breast. You can do it at any private hospital. Cost about RM200. Then once you have that done, go to PPUM on a WEDNESDAY. The breast doctor is only available on Wednesdays. He will examine the breast tissue and decide whether or not a surgery will be provided. After that, the appointments are set up. Waiting time is usually two months. I went in August and the surgery will take place at the end of October. Before the surgery, they'll take your blood about two weeks before the surgery (one appointment). Then they'll examine your blood about a week before the surgery (another appointment). Then finally comes the surgery (another appointment). After the surgery, you'll have tubes coming out of you which connects to bottles to colllect blood or excess fluids. Doc said that it'll take one week to heal from that post surgery. After one week the tubes and bottles will be removed (last appointment) . After that, you're good to go.Hopefully smile.gif Though I'm not entirely sure as I have not gone through the entire process. So far this is what I know.

Hi! So diagnostics will come with the Ultrasound Screening. From there they will know whether or not you have breast tissues. Breast tissues and Muscle tissues are different. In the unltrasound image you can see the breast tissue. This is done at a private hospital. When you go to ppum, please bring the ultrasound image. The surgeon in ppum will check on your chest. To determine whether or not they'll do a surgery. If the breast tissues are small, they probably wouldn't and you will have to go to a private cosmetic surgeon to get it done unfortunately. If it is large, then they will probably take you in. The type of gynecomastia that you have doesn't really matter I guess. The larger it is, the higher your chances of getting the operation done in ppum. Pusat Perubatan University Malaya. Go to the surgery clinic there. Just ask the police or the nurses where is the surgery clinic.

Hi everyone, so just wanted to do a recap/update. This is what I went through. It may be different for you. Sorry for any errors. First, get a referral letter from a general clinic. Then go to PPUM surgery clinic, get another referral letter for ultrasound. KPJ Hospital requires this, I don't know. Again this is from my experience. Go to PPUM surgery clinic on a Wednesday with the documents. You will be consulted by a doctor. If the doctor wants to go ahead with surgery then the appointment will be set up. Two months waiting time usually. Two weeks before surgery. Go to anaesthetic clinic to take your blood. Immediately after that the anaesthetist will ask you to buy the medicine you need for the surgery and post surgery. They will give you a number, and you have to go to the pharmacist to buy the medicine. Wait for your number, buy your medicine, you have the option of storing your medicine with the pharmacist or bring it back home. I stored mine with the pharmacist, and on the day of surgery, I took it from the pharmacist after about 8 am since that's when they open. Remember to give them the queue number that you were given to identify your medicine. If you take it back home, remember to bring it on the day of surgery. Up to you. On the day of surgery, You must come with someone. Go to the surgery floor, they will tell you where it is beforehand. Give your documents. Pay for the surgery at the payment counter. The surgery is RM 550. You can pay with card. Get your medicine from the pharmacist if you left it with them. They open at 8am. Once you've paid and gotten your medicine, go back to the surgery floor. Give the nurses your medicine. Give your family or relative your things. And wait. It's a long wait. 3-4 hours. Just sit there and relax. They will call your name. Go through the process and then the operation. You'll breath in the gas. And you will fall asleep immediately. You wake up dizzy and in slight pain in the chest area. You will have to move a bit and they will take you to a ward. You will stay overnight or have a daycare surgery. It's up to them. I stayed overnight. Food was provided. I just slept the whole day. I could barely move due to the tubes and the bottle and the pain. I stayed for one night and went home the next morning with the tubes and bottles attached to me. This is to take the blood and fluids out of the body to avoid seroma. You'll be like this for the next few days. I had a problem with my tube. Basically I was bleeding out of the hole in my right chest. My patch/dressing was soaked with blood. Went to ER, got the dressing changed. That's it. Not a big problem. My surgery was on a Friday. They wanted to take the tubes out on Monday. I came on Monday but they told me it wasn't time yet so come back on Wednesday. I went back home and waited till Wednesday. On Wednesday I came at 9 am to the surgery clinic. You don't need to take a number. They will tell you where to go. The nurse decided that they can take the tubes out now. So on Wednesday the tubes were out. And I felt great. She just put a gauze and tape on the holes so that you dont bleed. After a few hours. You can take them off and start bathing normally. You can get your whole body wet with water and soap. No problem. Just don't be too rough. Before taking the tubes out, you can only bath by wiping a wet towel over yourself. So after the tubes are out. It's time for your post op appointments. My first post op appointment is coming this Wednesday. Right so how does the chest look. The incision is long. Not just under the nipples for my case. But I don't think it'll leave a big scar since it's a very small incision. It's small but long. Left chest is looking great! Swelling has lessen. And the wound is already healing. Right side, not so great. My right nipple is still A BIT puffy. Just VERY slight puffiness. This is probably due to under resection OR swelling. I'm hoping it's swelling because swelling will go away and the nipple would look okay after sometime. Under resection is where the doctor did not remove enough breast tissue and so the nipples are still puffy. Over resection is also a problem as it would lead to inverted nipples. So the doctor needs to get it right. If the doctor doesn't, then you may need to do another surgery if you're not happy with it. For me, I don't know as it's only been two weeks. My right chest is still swollen. But the swelling has lessen. I'm hoping that after the swelling is gone, everything will be fine. Will know more after my first post op appointment. Will keep you guys updated. Also, just some tips, bring a bag to carry the bottles around in front of you. They don't provide compression garments. You need to buy one outside. I bought an underarmour shirt which hopefully is good enough. Any type of compression shirt should be good. But it won't be as good as an actual compression garment I'm sure.

Hi all

I'm very grateful for this thread. I've been reading this for years and after seeing so many people done it I've finally decided to do it.

14 feb - umsc to consult endocrinologist as I'm worrying that it might involving hormones or my endocrine issues.

20 feb - done series of blood tests on liver, renal, testosterone, many other hormones test. And awkwardly, ultrasound for my scrotum to see the size. I have little bump there, worrying that might be dangerous but it turned out to be a cyst, not harmful. Got a referral letter from endocrinologist for my pure gynaecomastia issue. All endocrines test are r normal

30 april - went to ppum surgical clinics. They have clinics for plastic on certain day and I'm lucky that on Monday 2pm the plastic surgeon are here. Only 10 patients and i was initially questioned by medical student. Then dr ridwan came to check mine. Mine is quite serious for 67kg fella. Very quickly he knows that i need that surgery and on the spot schedule on 12 june for surgery. 30 may to check with anesthetic clinic first.

Guys, wanna attempt to remove it too, ok lets recap.

1) go to PPUM to seek referral letter
2) go to any clinic or hospital to do ultrasonic scan or sort of for bout RM200
3) go back to PPUM on wed on specific time to find aesthetic dr and do consultation. He/she will determine is surgery necessary or not. then will proceed to make appointment which to be expected 2mths later.
4) Upon/prior surgery, buy some medicine from pharmacy and bring it over to PPUM.
5) Undergo surgery, doc will wrap something onto my body and appointment set to remove bottle or other things. Chest will feel pain for couple of days.
6) Seek doc to remove bottle or some other things, and doc will plaster on the wound. And a couple of follow up for couple of weeks. Can start doing workout and so for.

Hey Guys,

I just perform the surgery at PPUM on 15th of march 2019.

Currently I'm getting better, but i still feel discomfort around my chest area. its feel like my muscle stretched and I loss sense of touch around that area currently.

My condition is a quite peculiar, they have to remove 400cc on my left and 300cc on my right breast.

I went to PPUM for appointment on somewhere end of february i think, and I suppose to have the surgery on 26 april but the doctor make it early for me because on that day there are another 2 patient that will have the surgery.

PPUM currently testing new method of surgery, there will no more scar around the nipple and I am the first patient they do for that method, can say i am the guinea pig for this experiment.
Oh ya, they will make a cut under your armpit, then use camera with scissor and clamp to pull the tissue out. so no more obvious scar at the nipple area, only under the armpit.

Until today, my wound still no fully recover yet, i can say around 75 percent. The doctor say I need around 2 month to recover and that depends on the individual. , My next appointment will be on july.

Looks normal to me.... ?? Too much fat on your breast?
Me - I have the opposite situation- I have a flat chest and always wonder how men smaller size than me can have a big lump of meat at their chest. Isn’t it something to be proud of?

I’ve tried push-ups and other exercises to increase my chest meat. And also eat more to gain weight. Haha... 🤣💪

Ya lar, with manboobs, they appear to sink/sagging to the bottom. If it’s muscles, they’ll be solid.

Estimated 6800 + 530 (Garment)=7330. This is based on the pics I sent them.

If you getting fat, yes, the fat will accumulate the area again... so need to avoid any high estrogen drink or food such as soy bean or protein drink.

I will make it simple
Liposuction is to reduce the chest size
Excision is to remove the gland which makes ur nipple puffy

I did mine last year at Cheong plastic.

I don’t have before and after pics.
I started light exercise after 4 days , can’t stand sitting down at home . And because I own a workshop so I started working after a week. Just don’t carry heavy stuff or stretch yourself .
And many ppl here in the forum said they don’t feel pain during surgery but for my case is quite painful on the liposuction part, after surgery no pain at all.
I forgot the exact amount , I think around 6.5k, around there , I regret not doing this earlier , life changing , give me so much more confidence now .

I’ve done my surgery at Cheong Plastic Surgery last week. Same with your case, it’s quite painful during the liposuction part but after surgery no more pain. I’m now in recovering progress and need to wear the garment for few weeks.
Total cost me around 7k but really really worth it. I’m sure you will not regret doing this surgery. Will start to go gym next month after fully recover.
And thanks to everyone in this thread, who shared their experience about Gynecomastia. Guys, don’t hesitate anymore! Find Dr Cheong and let him help you gain back your confident.

If anyone tell you that you can gym away the puffiness from nipple, they are lying. I have been gyming for years, it wont help.
Glad I did this surgery, you can see the amount of tissue glands that is removed from my chest. Can't wait to gym back after 1 month.

I’m thankful for this thread and those who have shared their past experiences having gynecomastia surgery at PPUM.

i am returning the favor.

i, too, have bilateral gynecomastia (fibrous gland growth), as confirmed by breast UT examination I did a few weeks ago at KMC Pahang. Breast UT inspection costs RM 160 and doctor’s consultation fee is RM 110.

i had an appointment (paid RM 30 for 1st time registration) on monday 5aug after lunch with plastic clinic located at ppum menara selatan. i brought the UT report. The operation, it’s a same-day surgery, will take place on 22 Oct.

I have to come again a week prior for a pre-surgery appointment with anaesthetist.

I did it last month in Penang, it is Penang Adventist Hospital, very safe because it is inside the hospital. I did consultation through email before i went over to the actual face to face consultation which save a lot of times. Below are the cost and i did it as outpatient.
Registration and consultation RM90
Surgery RM6370.2 includes medication, surgeon's fee, hospital fee
Chest garment is cash term RM25 per piece
Next day follow up 1 time and only RM10 because no follow up charges from the doctor.
Surgeon is very senior and very humble doctor.

i, too, have bilateral gynecomastia (fibrous gland growth), as confirmed by breast UT examination I did a few weeks ago at KMC Pahang.

I have to come again a week prior for a pre-surgery appointment with anaesthetist.

update:
i recently had my surgery (excision under GA). cost rm1,320. other costs such as medication used during operation rm48, ward room charges rm 360 (3 nights stay), medication post surgery rm10

it was painful but i m glad that i did it. my self confidence has been fully restored. my only regret is, not having the courage to get it fixed 4-5 years earlier.

thank you all again for the help and guidance.

Are you originally from Penang?

I am based in SG now. But I heard the local surgeons here very very pricey. Would appreciate the advice from fellow contributors here, what is the best options for me? In terms of travelling (be it KL, JB and etc) and etc.

I saw quite a lot go for Dr Cheong in Cheras.

Hows the results? Satisfied? Also, for Dr Cheong, hows the procedures be like? How many consultations are needed before the surgery?

Any other good recommendation?

*
Hey, hows ur scar under armpit? Is it looks good?

Yea i also keen to know. Because i had appointment today, next appointment will be 1st June and surgery will be on 9th June. So they approximate the cost will be around 5k since my nipples are big case. So now I know it will take quite a few months from first appointment to surgery. Now seems like the recovery also take a few months from your case. Keen to know your current condition. Thanks

Just an update. My next appointment will be at anesthetics clinic at PPUM, 1st June 2020. After getting permission from anaesthesia, I can proceed to surgery clinic for confirmation. My surgery is scheduled on 8th June. So still has about 2 months from now. Luckily, we have MCO/PKP now so time does not feel anything. Wish me luck guys. Oh yeah, the Dr I met suddenly said the price could be arounD RM5-6k as they said mine is big case. Wish me luck guys

it doesnt look sizable in your photos. when you wear a t-shrt, say at the gym, does the breast bulge or the nipples? two different issues there. if they do, you do have a case to consult a plastics surgeon. plastics will only do a reduction if the male breasts are of certain grades.
sometimes its worth to check your prolactin levels. high prl can lead to more mammary tissues in a male

ha ha, he got bigger ones than yours, eh? never mind; i still think tho that if the patient is very concious about it, then you a doctor has to do something. this though will bring u into the cosmesis territory. if it was significant and surgical-grade gynaecomastia then it is a surgical issue. if its not, then it is more cosmetic. u may want to check your prl tho.. if it is prolactin problem, all our chat here is not that valid. read up on prolactinoma

* The whole examination process, my nipples were contract & erect due to cold aircon. WHICH make me look completely NORMAL.I got told him

sorry to here that; so it wasnt an optimum consultation session.
its disappointing tho, as it is a valid complaint, even if it is more of cosmesis.
but to get it done in private at 8k...ouch. 8k is many people's one month salary

even if your salary is above 8k, the quoted price of 8k is a bit steep.. what with follow-up costs, pain killers post op, antibiotics (chest, hot country, sweat is the outcome). so whats your plan? you wanna stick it out and wait-and-see if people notice or not, or do you wanna go ahead. you're the patient, you decide.

8K is the cheapest in my place lo...
Some doctors quoted  10 - 12K.
*
ok (it will be more than 8k in final fees but wont be too much higher). sit on it 2 weeks to think about it and talk to people around. Read up on satisfaction, rate of re-growth, risks etc. I just dont want you to feel cheated or ill-informed. Overall, if a person feels some degree of discomfort and some inhibition to social / daily routines, then it deserves weighing up pros and cons of that person's request. read up stuff like this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5109391/ , but skip the methods/material/results (will be heavy on statistical analyses) and read only abstracts and end of discussion.

If you decide to go ahead, i think you will be fine. the surgeons will be experienced there in what they are doing and will do their best for you.

So if I wanna go to PPUM for consultation do I still need a referral letter from GP?

Which department should i go to? General surgery or plastic surgery?

Any response will be much appreciated.

When is ur first visit to Ppum?
PPUM 5k - 6k??

I thought around RM500-600, as shared by other members
*
Yeah, I thought so too, but then when I asked the Dr, they said mine is big case, could be around RM6-7K. They kept saying PPUM now is semi private. So no longer Rm500. I said "I read online PPUM offers RM500". But, the Dr keep denying and say if I want faster I can go private, but it will be much expensive for my case could be around RM10-12K. I said "nvm, will consider PPUM better". True story. I think, the cost really depends on your each individual case. Some breasts already matured, some just small gyne. Whatever it is, ask your Doctor and consultation can be discussed later. I personally think, PPUM still within my affordable range of cost compared to other private clinics already set MIN RM7 or 8K. Thank God, PPUM is expected ranged to be around RM6-7.

Anyway, my first visit in PPUM was in early February 2020, next appointment before surgery is 1st June for anesthetics (to see if my body ready for the surgery) , surgery is scheduled on 9th June 2020. Wish me all the best guys.

Maybe urs one is more serious case.... Actually, serious case for private case charge much even more expensive,up to 20K, due to longer operation hours.

IF PPUM is NOT SO FAR fr my place , I will SURELY go PPUM. Don't forget they have done so many cases on hand, tht means they have lots of experience.

I tried govt hospital, they rejected me. I hate them.

Just go and consult Dr Danny Oh in Penang Adventist Hospital. He is pretty good though. Not that expensive. You may email him with pictures, no fee incurred in email. His email is dannysoh1@gmail.com or cosmetic@pah.com.my

Hi everyone, I’m so glad I found this post and that people are still active here. I am wondering if anyone has any idea if there are any centres in Kota Kinabalu that offer help with this gynecomastia problem. Can someone offer some input on how severe my gyne is?

Also, I can finally relate with a group of people that know how it feels to have gynecomastia. The worst feeling is when you tell those close to you, they will ask you to work out or say it’s nothing. Also sucks whenever friends and family point it out and laugh.

Glad we can support each other here, I know for myself gynecomastia has really affected my self confidence so much.

IMO, yours look more like pseudogyno than the actual gyno. Maybe try losing fats and build some pecs and see if they're gone since you look skinny fat to me. Though, you can tell if you have gyno by touching the area around your nipples and you will feel a lump if you have them(refer here, https://www.wikihow.com/Detect-Gynecomastia). Even if you have them, you can just build muscles to make it look normal as your situation is quite mild.

Oh, it's might be a type 2 gyno(or borderline type 3) and yes, losing fats and building muscles wouldn't improve the appearance of it that much so you may have to get a surgery done. Anyway, it's better to consult a doctor as they can give an accurate answer to you. Though, you could still build some chest muscles to make it not obvious as that when you have your shirt on.

He was quoted RM 15K in private hospital claiming his case is quite serious ,so slightly more expensive.

Just sharing my story:

In short, went to PPUM last year but rejected last year.

Tried my luck during this MCO in Penang Hospital since I am back there.
Went on May to visit general clinic, doctor refer to surgeon, made appointment. Meet surgeon on further week, doctor requested for ultrasound scan before making decision, went to private hospital for scanning (RM150) to get result immediately and save time, back to see surgeon, requested blood test to check testosterone.

Blood test result ready after a month, surgeon said my situation is everything fine, but asked me whether i'm very concern with my breast. I just tell him I'm very depressing because of my breast, immediately he decide to do the surgery for me. Operation is scheduled 2 weeks later, and I had to meet with aesthetic 3 days before surgery.

I felt blessed that the surgeon is willing to help out. And hope everything goes fine before as well the operation.
For guys who are from Penang, can try to visit Penang Hospital first instead of going to Adventist, as I was quoted 7K for the operation there.
Goodluck.

Stop listening to those asking you to lose weight and work out. Yes after you lose weight you might see some difference, but eventually the gyno is still gonna be there and that doesn't solve your issue. Go and consult a doctor. Price might vary depending on seriousness and size.

I've tried losing fat and working out for years.
But it wont just do it. No workout going to destroy those breast tissues.
*
The aim of doing that is to make it less noticeable. So if you have type 2 or above gyno, chances are it's gonna stay noticeable after you take off your shirt(or without taking it off for severe cases). Generally, only type 1 gyno can be concealed with workouts and losing fats, but even then, your nipples are still gonna give clues when they're not erect(puffy nipples are almost certainly sign of gyno).

If it’s only fatty tissue, can reduce through exercise and proper dieting. Lazy way is thru liposuction haha. I dont think there is a natural way.

But if it is breast tissue, no amount of exercise can eliminate that. Even liposuction wont able to do as the breast tissue is too thick to be suck out. The only way is thru gynecomastia surgery. U can watch it on youtube.

I followed @drlebowitz on IG for encouragement. Might sign up for surgery in near future 😄

Stop listening to those telling you to lose weight , take pills , go to gym . It won’t work , just accept the fact.
I’ve been struggling for almost 10 years , buying graphic tee just to cover my gyno, not able to go shirtless at pool or beach .
You need surgery .
If you want a cheaper plastic surgeon , go for cheong plastic at cheras , it’s 6-7k .
Don’t hesitate , save up or get a loan. It’s a life changing thing and you will never regret .

Gynecomastia Pills - https://qualitypillprovider.com For boys with severe gynecomastia that is causing substantial tenderness or embarrassment, a short course of a drug called tamoxifen (sample brand name: Nolvadex) may be recommended. These drugs block the effects of estrogen in the body and can reduce the size of the breasts somewhat.

Does this really work? Any testimony? I afraid it will interfere with kidney

Ya, and it’s a half day job , after that you just need to go back to remove the stitches and you’re done . Pay extra but save up a lot of time . I heard PPUM need to go through a lot of procedure .
I only rest for 4 days and go back to work . After the surgery it doesn’t hurt at all.
Please don’t try those pills , if it works , who will spent few thousand on surgery right ?

any other doc besides dr cheong or glojas in kl/selangor? quite worried since lots of reviews said the doc is not patient-friendly as it might affect on how you want to communicate and share your problem with him

Having suffered with gyno for many years due to steroid use I finally decided to have my surgery at Dr Cheong's clinic just before Chinese New year, he charged me a reasonable amount around 7k. The surgery itself was a bit painful but after surgery I had no pain. You are right he is quiet and not so friendly he even got mad at me for asking something too many times😄 but he gets the job done. I had a lot of swelling because of scar tissue on one side after surgery. He told me to wait a few months which I did but still it didn't go away so I went to see him again and told him to give me a steroid injection he did as I requested and after only 2 weeks all the scar tissue went away and now I am very happy with the results.

Just updating my situation here :

Did my surgery on 13/7 , discharge from ward on the next day.
Carrying a drain for around 10 days. MC at home for 1 month, back to office yesterday.

Happy with my results smile.gif Chest still swollen , and might take up to 3 months to get fully recover.

Cost of surgery = RM53 , Cost of ward (2 days) = RM56
Total Cost : RM109 (excluding RM5/follow up treatment)

After the surgery how many time we need to go back to dr. And when we need to go back to dr again.
*
i went back twice, one to remove the stitches , another just follow up.
Because i don't feel the pain i went back to work the 5th day but no stretching.
I think its more convenient for people like me who are always busy working, don't need to take too many leave and just a few follow up.
But do take note, doctor cheong is very serious person, not friendly at all.

Currently I am trying Avisena Specialist at Shah Alam. The Dr quote price around 8-10k. Its quite pricey but I live in Klang so its pretty near

PPUM takes alot of time and procedure. I have waited since January just to have it postponed again on June. Dr Cheong Cheras quite far for me.

So, try Avisena if u live near Klang/Shah Alam

Thank you bro, I regret not doing this sooner. Post surgery I went one time for stitch removal after about 2 weeks the second time after 2 months for general checkup and agin after 3 months for the remaining swelling. The checkups are free and the doctor will even provide you with free ointment for your wounds but I did pay for the steroid injection but he only charged me for the cost of the steroid itself and I only paid about 70 Ringgit I think. But you most probably won't need that I was just unlucky to develop scar tissue 😅.

I think the scar you are referring to is from the incision under the nipple, I had no problems with that after 2 months it was almost gone Dr cheong has a very good incision and stitching technique . The scar tissue I had was like a hard lump inside and it created some swelling.

for those whom had done the surgery, just wondering how long is safe before you can continue normal daily activities i.e; swimming or heavy lifting after?

did it affect your movement (lifting hands, moving around, intimate relationship etc) while recovering

Up to 6 months it's normal to have swelling from the surgery, but if it persists it can be scar tissue. Ask your doctor he might ask you to massage the area daily.

It really differs from person to person some people heal faster. I rested for two weeks before doing normal daily activities and two months to go back to the gym.

Hi all,

Just to share my experience. I had my gynecomastia surgery at Glojas on 13/8/20. Prior to that, i went for the free consultation with surgeon. He recommended for liposuction on the chest area as well to get a full flat chest.

I had watched a lot of gynecomastia surgery videos on youtube and i follow dr.lebowitz on IG, so I pretty much know what to expect. You should do the same if u are planning for surgery.

From the liposuction, the surgeon has sucked out about 200ml of fat from each side. Unlike all the video that i watched, the incision for the liposuction is about 3 inches below the nipple, instead of under the armpit. The gland removal is pretty standard just like the youtube videos. It was almost painless. No drain was fitted to me (i think this the glojas way as the surgeon suggested it during the consultation). Instead, the remaining tumescent fluid (for the liposuction) is let to flow out from the liposuction incision.

The first night was messy a bit. I was ‘soaked’ with fluid and blood coming out from the liposuction incision. Need to change the gauze regularly (the surgeon has informed this during the consultation). But it is better than carrying the drain, i think. Throughout, there was no pain that i cannot bear. Just a mild discomfort. The clinic provides me with antibiotics cream, pills and pain killer. I stop taking the pain killer on the 3rd day.

On the second day, i went for the 1st review with the surgeon. I was able to drive to the clinic myself. I start going to work on the 4th day. The 2nd review was a week after the surgery. The chest is almost flat now with minor swelling which will go a way in 1 to 6 month. Im a happy month, nonetheless.

However, the movement is a bit restricted. I cannot lift the arm above my head without feeling ‘stretchy’ around the chest area. Naughty time with missus also need to be improvised haha. And yes, i need to wear the compression vest for nearly 24 hours for the 1st month. Next review is 1 month after the surgery.

Feel free to ask questions 😁

Hi guys, just want to update. I just did my gynecomastia surgery at GLOJAS, Desa Sri Hartamas today. RM8.5k. The surgeon was Dr Ali. It was very good surgery session and finally I feel so much relieved when I have no longer have the stubborn fat and my tits no longer look like a teenage girls boobs.

I would suggest if you have enough savings to go to GLOJAS. They have Christmas promotion till end of December. Usually the price for gyne surgery is RM12k.

So basically the Dr taken out 200 cc of fats and breast tissues from my right chest and 300cc from left chest. I suggest you guys to go for the surgery if this is going to make you happier and relieve. I will update the result photos few months after this. I dont want to show current photos as my chest still in minor bruises.

All the best! [SIZE=7]

After living with gynaecomastia (mine wasn't that serious, if you refer to this page, mine was probably the type 1) for 10 +years (this thing came to me at roughly the age of 15), finally, I'm happy to say goodbye to it.

Had the surgery done in Adventist Hospital, Penang ("PAH") with Dr Danny. Cost is slightly below 7k, consider quite cheap if you compare to others.

Before the surgery
Remember to buy a few black (use black, don't use white because there might be blood/plasma from the wound) singlets from Uniqlo, wash it prior, and bring it along to the hospital. You may also want to buy compression garment (PAH will give you a new one), wash it, and use your own compression garment after the surgery. Suggest you to wash them first because new out of the box compression garment/singlets may cause irritation to your skin. (I suffer itchiness for 2 days. Damn kesian sia).

You will be asked to take light breakfast, and no coffee before the surgery.

During Surgery
Doctor put me to sleep before the surgery, hence I do not know what happen during the surgery. If i remember correctly, I entered the surgery room at about 10-11am, and when I woke up, it was about 4 ish. I believe I was given moderate/deep sedation instead of minimal sedation as I complaint about pain durin vaser liposuction procedure (somehow I was awake due to the pain lol). Lipo procedure is painful - you read above posts.

After Surgery
Did not really feel painful after I woke up, probably due sedation effect. You are given 2 types oral tablets (1 for pain relief and another one is an antibiotic) and 1 ointment. For my case, I took pain relief for 2 days - after that I don't need it anymore. You apply the ointment on the plaster and paste it on the wound in the areola, right below the nipple (btw, doctor performed a keyhole surgery hence the cut/wound is very minimal). Get yourself a waterproof, sterile type plaster.

Upper body movement is very limited for the first 2 night. You may take quick shower just to clean your lower body. Upper body and armpit, use alcohol wet wipes to wipe2 saja cukup. You may wash your hair in the bathroom basin.

Ecchymosis will develop right after the surgery. Will stay there for a couple of days/week. 5 to 6 days after surgery, bruise area will turn greenish/yellowish. Part of the healing process.

To avoid the development of rashes on your skin, I would suggest you to wear a singlet before putting on compression garment. I was told to wear compression garment for about a month. If you have serious gynae, means you'd probably have more excessive skin there, then you probably have to wear it for a longer period.

Overall, I think it is worth getting this surgery if you are having gynaecomastia, and especially when you're still young. A one time payment to gain back your confidence, why not?

A big thanks to the surgeon and nurses for rendering their professional services and hospitality. Very very nice people. Jaga you like anak. Lol. Too bad, there's no Adventist hospital in KL, otherwise I don't mind doing some free marketing for them lol.

I have been through a lot of embarrassment, that's the harder way to find out.
try to examine your self, flex your chest muscles and see how your chest look.
Is it looks natural like rest or feel like its look weird. either way, go to any clinic just ask for an examination don't be shy.
either way, it's going to be a win-win situation. If you have Gynecomastia you can go for surgery, at least prepare for what to do next.
if you don't have one, it will be a relief.

Buy from MR DIY, very cheap, less than RM40 i think. If you are having surgery in Penang Adventist HOspital, they will provide on garment, also very cheap. Trust me, i did it under Dr Danny Oh Siew LEng, Penang Adventist Hospital, very senior humble surgeon. Quite affordable price too.

Go and do it, it was a big relieved for me. I had it done in Penang Adventist Hospital under Dr Danny Oh Siew Leng, very senior humble surgeon. There got two surgeons but better choose the senior experienced one, trust me. You can email him with pictures dannysoh1@gmail.com or cosmetic@pah.com.my and ask for quotation in the email, no need to pay anything. If you are happy for the price than only go to Penang to have surgery. I time follow up than subsequently with Whatapps follow up easier. He also does not mind people whatapps or called him. He trained from America, very experienced doctor.

Very super nice pan, no follow up consultation charges, worth every penny

8 March 2021 9 AM: I went to Klinik Kesihatan at Bandar Botanic since I live in KLANG. I was asked what the purpose of my visit. I just told the nurse 'i want to get a referral letter from the doctor to see a specialist doctor. They give me a number to wait for after took my Body temperature and blood pressure.

Doctor asked the purpose of my visit, I told him that I think I have gynecomastia or hormone problem as per my knowledge. He asked me to took off my shirt to examine my body. I was 80kg at the time, He said it might connect to my weight. I said to him that I have this problem since I was skinny and from my teenage years for the past 15 years. Then he examines again and called another doctor for his advice. They were kinda responsible to give advice and asked my opinion.
Immediately both doctors suggested, go for a blood test and urine test because they suspect I might have "Cushing syndrome" (google about it), check my testosterone level and thyroid. The solution was gynecomastia surgery if I'm ready for it. I said I am ready for it. Initially, they want to send me to HKL but I request him to write to PPUM to the Surgery department.

8 March 2021 1:30 PM: I arrived at PPUM, went to Menara Selatan. Showed my referral letter at the front counter. They give me direction to the surgery department. showed my letter again to the Nurse. The nurse advised me that two departments can be involved in my case: the BREAST surgery department and the plastic surgery department. She said the plastic surgery department is faster compared to the breast surgery department. She said I can get an appointment at 2 pm with a Plastic surgery specialist. she asked me if it ok to proceed with Plastic surgery, I replied I'm ok with it. I paid RM 31.00 for a registration fee.

The doctors called my name, two doctors have examined me. They asked some questions like, for how long I am having Gyno (15 years)? am I a smoker(no)? Do I take steroid(no)? Do I have thyroid(no)? after I answered. I took my shirt off and they examined me. Immediately the doctor said, they go with liposuction and skin removal. Both doctors were very kind to me because I was quite down about my condition. They explained how the process will go and what I should buy before surgery and the prices. The prices they quoted me was RM 2500 and RM 500 for a compression shirt and liposuction tube or needle (not sure about it). They search for available dates since it's covid hard to get the bed. So my operation will be on 13 April 2021.

After that, they asked me to meet anesthesiologists at Level 3 Menara Timur. (an anesthesiologist is a doctor who prepares you and explains the surgery process). After I went there, the nurse booked me for a blood test since I'm young and no heart condition, No ECG or X-ray needed. I went to a blood test on 22/03/2021 and another appointment for anaesthetic on 29/03/2021. I got called that 3 days before my surgery, my surgery was postponed to 27 April 2021 due to bed availability. I went on 26th April to do the covid test and it was negative and the doctor advised me to buy tummy fit to wear it after post OP. After all, I didn't need the RM500 compression vest. The tummy fit (RM 68) does the job.

27th April, I was fasting after 12 am. I arrived at PPUM around 7 am and went to daycare surgery. Nurses asked me to change my clothes and the anaesthesia doctor asked some question and installed a drip on my hand. My surgeon came and drew with a marker and explain the side effects ( swelling, bleeding). I went to the operation theatre sharp at 10 am. I passed out and my surgery is done by 12:30 pm and I woke up around 2 pm. I was under observation and then I was moved to the DAYCARE ward to admit. The draining tube was attached. To be honest I don't know how some of you guys discharged on the same day and did in local anaesthesia. I went with my Fiance who understand my pain, she helped me to buy medicines and paid the bill when I was in surgery.

It was damn painful after I woke up but IT WAS FUCKING WORTH IT thumbup.gif . I was so happy till the pain doesn't bother me. I was smiling and grateful for the decision I made. After 2 days I went to PPUM to remove the draining tube and post-op check-up. I am still recovering, I start to wear jerseys and taking out my shirt with confidence in my own house after 17 fucking years. I was bullied and humiliated by my so-called friends and relatives (but not my own family) never took off my shirt in public after primary school. Fuck those people and fuck that gynecomastia. I hope this will help those who go through this condition. Sorry for the long post.

Cost me around below RM 2000.00
Surgery: RM 300.00
Medicines: RM 50.00
Bed: RM 120.00
Drainage Tube and surgery tools: RM 1000.00
Tummy fit: RM 68.00
COVID test and blood test: RM 50.00
Pre-op and post-op consultation: RM 60.00-RM 90.00 (each time paid RM 15.00)

Sorry to hear that, did you have your surgery recently? Maybe it will get better as it heals. The reality of gynecomastia surgery is that it will never be perfect.

One yr ago, i met someone in PPUM .. He also have indented nipples after surgery. But, he still is happy bcause he said indented nipples is better than puffy one. I guess his condition is bad b4 surgery.
ANYWAY, i just chit chat wit him. Didn't see how it look.

But,my condition is pretty mild b4 surgery ... Haiz. Maybe a stage 1.

To those went through the surgery, were you able to drive back yourself after the surgery? I'm planning to go to dr Cheong cheras, I'm from Shah Alam. Decided not to Avicenna since Dr there is quite young, I think Dr Cheong has more experience.

It is possible, but it's best not to. Any sudden arm movements may cause internal bleeding and more complications after surgery.

Were you saying to drive back after day surgery or the very next day? If it is day surgery, i would definitely advise you to have someone with you because it can be very drowsy though. If it is very next day, that you may drive back yourself.

I dont want to show current photos as my chest still in minor bruises.

You can always go and back with grab. I went and back with grab from Klang to Glojas, Damansara for the surgery day..quite pricey but it keeps you comfortable especially after surgery. Ofcourse, you can try drive as usually they will tight your chest up with proper care and vest. But, you perhaps should expect for more blood running during the bath time.

Congratulations man!! I am so happy for your patience....I was with PPUM at first since January 2020 as well......and then it didn't go as I wanted as I have to wait for another few months for COVID MCO stuff. My surgery was postponed. Then after June 2020..got a call from PPUM, asked if I wanted to continue the surgery. PPUM quoted me as private price because I didn't have the referral letter. I gave up already. Then December 2020 I got a call from Glojas saying they have Christmas promotion for RM8.k. and Dr Ali graduated from UKM etc. So, I thought why not. I have been waiting for so long and the price quite the same. So I end up doing with Glojas. But it was all worth the money. No pain at all, very good public relation after surgery etc. Good follow up etc. So for new guys, it's you to decide if you want to go public or private. both ways are depending on your time, patience, knowledge, and of course savings. Wish you all the best.

got mine recently done at adventist hosp with Dr Danny Oh on june 4. surgery cost rm7700 including overnight hospital stay. i likely have a seroma on my left side which will be treated later as i might as well wait for the results to settle in after a few more months. also deciding if i should get it sorted in Adventist since Dr. Danny gives free revisions within a year (only on his surgeon's fee; other hospital fees are not exempted) or seek out local options in KL (dr. Cheong or Glojas).

again like what so many others who have done the op have said, getting this surgery is a life-changing decision for the better. trust me, 99% of us who eventually underwent surgery have already exhausted every damn (non-surgical) option in the fucking kitchen sink.

bro, best to consult a plastic surgeon and get their expert opinion for an accurate diagnosis.
a consultation is usually within RM100 per session. please DO NOT depend on online opinions in this matter.

It does not work that way. Building up your pecs muscle and still having that layer of fat will only make matters worst.

It's like ppl say to get 6pax, must do abs crunches - a joke in the fitness-informed community. The problem is the layer of fat.

Do you think we all never do that. First, you read about gynecomastia. This thread begins in 2014, Do follow and understand that, then reply. I go to the gym, I followed a strict diet. I did chest workout heavily, Upper chest, mid-chest and lower chest plus strechting. I didn't see the result as I suppose to. So don't give this advice here.

Thank you for your clarifications and sharing. However, because this is only a forum, I assume that anyone can do whatever they want as long as the rules are followed. Even though this is an old thread, I can still reply. Besides, I'm making a suggestion, not giving advice. Any suggestion can be correct or incorrect. Because it is everyone's voice, it is up to the topic starter to accept or reject a specific suggestion.

Let me show you the rules in this subforum:

So, my post is fine, and there's no reason why I shouldn't post it. Do you ever wonder why someone with a newbie account wants to post/reply in threads? There must be a reason. hmm.gif

Nothing wrong with replying and giving suggestions or advice but This is the gynecomastia page not losing weight fat or weight forum. people are going through some difficulties, depression, anxiety, inferiority complex because of gynecomastia. when you give a suggestion 'go gym and build your chest muscle', it's too blunt and old. The newbie isn't asking about bodybuilding advice here to give such a suggestion. People have already given that suggestion and we did it. Again you can give advice or suggestion but at least try to learn about the condition. So many people have followed the thread, done the surgery and tried to build chest. So far the surgery has given a better result.

Can buy from Shoope or Lazada too. Just search Men Chest Compression Shirt Gynecomastia. If I’m not mistaken, the price is Rm30.00. And this one actually recommended by doctor Ali (he said can buy it online during consultation and size I should buy). So, I WhatsApp a nurse who is in charge with me, and she was straight away forwarded me a link for that without saying like I should buy the expensive one (which is Rm500).

Hi,
If u opt for local anesthesia, it would be pretty quick. In my case, i had the surgery on thu, took another day off on fri. Back to work on monday (note: im working in normal office environment). Already start driving on next day after the surgery. Full recovery will take 6 to 8 months (for the scarring to completely healed). Expect limited mobility on the upper body and minor discomfort for around 2 weeks. Hopefully this helps.

Just had mine done with Dr Ali. Was surprised how huge the breast tissue was when he removed it. Also removed nearly 900ml of fat around the chest area. Been having it since I was 13. So so glad I finally got it done

Was supposed to do it 2 years ago but kept getting pushed back due to MCO. Will keep updating here as it recovers.

Photos tomorrow. If you have it, just go head with the surgery. Working out did not help me get rid of it.

I went PPUM as many here suggested...

Surprisingly, the PPUM Specialist said will arrange appointment wit UMSC (private charge, also fr UM). Claiming since I m already working, my age above 25... I can afford it.
I m completely speechless!

Anyway, I went to Penang Adventist hospital look for Doctor Danny Oh. He will do it for me. (My hometown)

*anyway, I will drive myself back home, though not recommended.

My advice is don't waste time in PPUM unless u are student... Recently, so many people get rejected, or surgery keep delay.

The process is pretty simple actually.

1. Go to the nearest Klinik Kesihatan in your area to get a referral letter to Plastic & Reconstructive Department, Hospital Kuala Lumpur. You need to book an appointment for that, google that klinik kesihatan name and go to their qmed.asia to book a slot. The doctor will diagnose if you really have a gynaecomastia or its just fat on your chest.

2. Next, you can walk-in or call this number 03-26155234 to set an appointment. I went to the klinik kesihatan in mid Jan 2022 and got an appointment at HKL for 14/2/2022.

3. On that date, bring your ic, the referral letter. You need to fill in some forms over there but that's basic sop.

4. The doctors in that department will also perform a diagnosis to see what kind of procedure you need to get rid of the moobs, I think.

5. Then, they will find the nearest date available for the surgery. My surgery is on 23/3/2022. The cost for the surgery is RM3500 excluding the pressure garment and the ward. Make sure your address is within 25km of the HKL to get the daycare ward. Otherwise you need to spend the night there. Today I went there for swab test, hopefully the results are negative.

I will update in a few days after the surgery.

Alright, I hope this could help you guys that have the same problem as me.

Like many of you I got it from teenage years and been having gyno for abt 20 yrs. Has anyone one tried anti hormone like tamoxifen and anastrazole (arimidex) before jumping to surgery?

Can somebody share your experience with these medicines.

I have been training until I see abs for the past 2 years and it's still visible. Yes fat reduced it look smaller but nipple still pointy.

I wish there's no need for surgery route as there are risks of complications.

There is no way without a surgery, gynecomastia is a rubbery tissue it wont fade away or shrink with any pills as it is already formed. Its a solid tissue. Pseudogynecomastia may go away since it is a fat

Hi guys, im 31 year old guy decide to go for the surgery.

Don’t believe some of the comments here saying you dont workout or run enough to burn the man boobs.

Ive been working out for 15 years. I have toned muscle. I also achieved single digit fat % before. It looks worse when my fat % is low because the gradular tissue doesnt burn like normal fat. It looks more obvious.

So working out till you drop is just BS. if you feel like you need the surgery just go for consultation first.

Just sharing the latest price for gyno surgery i have surveyed.

1. Nicanor, Tropicana PJ.
Hospitality is almost like a Spa. From front desk to doctor all very friendly and nice. Top notch service

Consultation fee : RM200

Quoted : RM18-20k (*case to case basis)
Dr Heng plan to remove the glandular tissue and also do lipo suction to reshape my chest. Dr is professional and would give suggestion for better result. Surgery will be in General Anesthesia

Include follow up and garment

2. Dr Cheong, Taman Segar Cheras
Staff was nice. Dr. Cheong is straight forward to the topic kind of guy but still nice. Just not a chatter. Very professional and knowledgeable in his job.

Quoted : RM8k (*case to case basis ya)
Dr explain to remove the glandular and minor liposuction. Local Anesthesia. For General Anesthesia Dr said the cost is double and he need to do in hospital. Include follow up and garment

Consultation fee : free

3. Anggun mediclinic

Quoted : From RM8k

Im not quite confident with this place because it is branded as Aesthetic Medi Clinic. Therefore i decided not to go here

4. Glojas

Got a lot of good reviews. They actually have a lot of specialist from various hospital giving their service here.

Conclusion:

Due to i already feel very comfortable and confident with Dr Cheong. I decided to cancel my appointment at Glojas. And proceed with Dr. Cheong.

Dont be scared reading the reviews at google regarding Dr. Cheong’s “attitude”, he is just introvert and straight to the point. No small talks. I prefer that actually because im an introvert as well. Im scheduling the surgery for end of nov

Procedure :

1. Schedule for consultation appointment
2. Book your preferred date for surgery
3. Pay 1000 deposit
4. 1 week before surgery stop all supplements
5. 1 week after can continue supplement
6. Within few days can go to work. Office work ya.
7. Can start working out at least after 1 month.

Hope this helps.

Common questions I've seen is "how long is the recovery". It will be about 2 weeks before you can comfortably lift your arms over your head. The first few days, you won't be able to move much at all, so you'll definitely need someone to watch after you. After 4 weeks you can start moving around normally, but it will be about 2 months before you can return to regular exercise.

Not to worry, if you've been lifting, 2 months of rest won't make all your results completely disappear. In the weeks before your surgery, you may choose to deliberately over-train, so you'll spend that 2 months resting from all that exercise. When you come back to lifting again, start back slowly, but very soon you'll be back to where you left off.

Also for the first few weeks, your doctor will likely recommend a compression vest, or ACE bandage wraps. You have to keep the area compressed for a little while to prevent swelling. You'll need to wear this all the time except for showering, though you should be able to take it off within a month or so.

My biggest suggestion is to always always always get reviews and recommendations on the doctor. Most doctors are good. Some doctors... aren't. I've seen "botched jobs". I know of one case personally where the guy went through a great deal of pain, and his gynecomastia came right back before the bandages even got taken off. It looked worse after surgery than before surgery. Always make sure the doctor is qualified (this type of surgery is specific and not every surgeon should do it), check if he's done this before, see the reviews from other happy patients.

Good luck.

There will be a long time of laying around. Have some favorite TV shows and video games lined up. Boredom was actually a big problem when I had surgery. I'm normally very active but now I had to lay around all the time, so this became a real issue. You won't be able to use your arms much, so definitely someone will need to help watch after you for a few weeks.
