I have "mild" problem on manboob coz of my size. 5'8" height 115kg weight. I am active in sports, and also regular in gym. If u wanna reduce, I suggest doing more upper body exercise at the gym. The back, shoulder, chest, wing and abs. You can build them up to replace your fats and in turn can burn your manboobs fats and turn into muscle. That means grow your muscles, and reduce fats. That can eliminate saggy skins if it happens. But of course skin can shrink but not sure to what extent. Every body works differently. I taken gym seriously since early this year with heavy lifts, and my manboobs reduce, replace by more tone body muscle, and looked better. I reduced my weight to 109kg and still working on reducing my weight, hopefully til just under 100kg by yr end.

Cardio workout can help if you dieting and loose weight. May need to loose much more. Depends on your body condition. Mind to share your weight and height?

Sorry can't read chinese.

If you can't wait till you can actually see results after you've workout, I guess you got to go for aesthetic enhancement like coolsculpting or ultrasound cavitation.

I have this problem too.. not gonna bore you with my story.. anyways, there are two types of man boobs:
1. Fat accumulated at the chest area
2. Glandular tissue (breast glands)

If you want to check, put your fingers together to form a small circle and press the spot near the areola.. if it's hard and feels gland-y, then its breast tissue. you can only remove this via surgery...
if it's soft, then it's fat... it may be stubborn fat, and hard to remove...

For my case, i have a lot of fat as well as glandular tissue.. had my surgery two weeks ago... now in recovery period smile.gif

Weight lifting.
Not occasionally, but consistently.

Burn fats and build muscle. It will make your chest look solid rather than saggy.

not entirely so.. if you have breast tissue, then any amount of exercise will NOT get rid of it... trying searching up on body builders with gyno.. you'll be surprised.

If ck_boon is talking about gyno (serious ones) then the only way to cure it is via surgery.

But most of the people I see suffer from ManBoobs because they have a lot of fat with them (usually fat people have manboobs). Once they slim down and start to build muscle, their chest will start to look more solid.

Unless he provide the picture of his upper body, its very hard to identify the problem he has.

Have to agree with Kentucki, man boobs caused by hormone imbalance is quite rare.most are caused by too much fat layered above chest muscle.so the best way to get rid of it is too build up ur chest muscle and lower ur bodyfat percentage with proper and consistent diet and exrcise.

Yeah I am sort of big size but not saggy fat type. End yr target is just under 100kg. Gradual decrease. Next yr will loose more hopefully till 80-85kg? Depends on my determination. That is the biggest factor. Really not easy.

I remember in the old days people said that the boobs we're cause you ate too much chicken rice as the chickens were injected with hormones to fatten them up, this caused the boobs, don't know if true but it cut down my eating of chicken fast.

Hi jimsontan, I have the same trouble as you.. best thing to do now is go for a consultation at any cosmetic clinic.
The one i went to is Nicanor.. Dr. Heng is very nice and he will check whether it is fat or breast glands..

If you don't mind me asking, is the surgery intrusive/painful?
I mean, is it like a minor surgery whereby you were not put to sleep, and get to return home after it's done?

it can ONLY be removed by surgery...

as you can see, there are three pictures which shows the fat in both my chests, as well as left breast tissue and right breast tissue.
surgery goes like this..
1. reach clinic, take some pre-surgery medicine, pay the surgery fee
2. doctor will then ask you to remove your shirt, where he will mark the place where the incision will be.
(in my case, or others as well, liposuction surgery will start with an incision at the bottom of your armpits,
and for breast tissue, they will make an crescent shaped cut at your areola, flip it up, and remove the breast tissue underneath the areola)
3. hospital members will then give you something to make you sleep. after they have given me anesthesia, i slept after 10sec
4. when i woke up, surgery is done. nurses gave me some nice milo and biscuit to eat.
5. during the week after the surgery, can't bath, must wear compression belt 24 hours per day.
6. one week after, stitches are removed, scar tissue may form...

i did my surgery at nicanor clinic. Dr. Heng is a reputable cosmetic doctor in gynecomastia.

best thing to do is go for a consultation. it's less than rm100, so it's not a big amount of money...
your statement of "is it very big very annoying made you no cut no happy" really annoys me... only people with this condition will understand the embarrassment they have to face and go through... i have this condition ever since i'm in primary school.. imagine you have to live with this for 24 years... never able to take out your shirt on the beach, can't go water park, can't take off my shirt in public...

btw, there will be some minor scars after the surgery, but you wont notice it unless i point it out...

as you can see, there are three pictures which shows the fat in both my chests, as well as left breast tissue and right breast tissue.
surgery goes like this..
1. reach clinic, take some pre-surgery medicine, pay the surgery fee
2. doctor will then ask you to remove your shirt, where he will mark the place where the incision will be.
(in my case, or others as well, liposuction surgery will start with an incision at the bottom of your armpits,
and for breast tissue, they will make an crescent shaped cut at your areola, flip it up, and remove the breast tissue underneath the areola)
3. hospital members will then give you something to make you sleep.  after they have given me anesthesia, i slept after 10sec

sorry for the annoyance caused bro. notworthy.gif Because I'd mistakenly taken him as you.
actually what I try to convey is, is it very big till you have to sort this out by surgery. sad.gif
My bf also have some manboobs at his left side, your post pretty informative for me to provide some insight on this matter.

i don't mind if it's a bit big... but when you have breast tissue, it will make your chest and nipple area look a little puffy and pointy, like a girl.
that's the main problem.

Bro, do you have these man boobs problem? If not, how do you know just by building overall physique it will look normal.
In a way, you can camouflage it if if the man-boob is quite small. But, many no matter how you hide it, it will look obvious.

But the main secret to live happy with it is to accept it. I have man-boobs. I used to feel very shy to take off my cloth in the public. Even in gym's locker room. But, as times flew, I begin to accept it. In fact many won't even notice it much. Even if they do, I don't care what other thinks about me. Now, I'm quite comfortable to taking of my cloths, even in front girls. In fact most girls won't even notice them. Those who notice them, they just make a little fun of it. I just laugh together. What is important is the confident of being who you are, not the physical factor.

Will I go for surgery to remove them? It depend what I want to achieve with it. If I build a nice physique to be a model, competition or even fighter and the man-boobs spoils the look, I'll remove it. I may even remove it, if I'm serious about running as the man-boobs add some weight to your body.

stay off the soy. tau foo far , tau chiong sui, etc. very bad for men. you will grow man boobs from consuming these.

fermented soy food like miso & tempeh should be safe.

If you think you are rich , you can go to the private, the rough cost for private is around 15k only for surgery, not included follow up treatment, follow up treatment is must! - its called seroma, complication after surgery and its very common, min it takes 2-3 months to recover, max 1 year, so every 2 days you have to get a treatment, and it gonna cost u a bomb if you do in private. You can do in goverment hospital, my recommendation - PPUM. I did Gynecomastia previously and it cost me just RM500, follow-up treatment is rm15 for every visit, if u good with a nurse, the cost is zero.

If you afraid about the cost, you can get treatment from PPUM, the cost very cheap, but make sure you bring reference letter from any clinic, because they dont accept patient without any reference letter, the breast surgical (surgery clinic) is open on wed, go early morning.

You need to consider for seroma treatment after surgery, some of the patients have to come almost everyday for the treatment. I guess a doc didn't tell you about the complication after surgery.

PPUM-Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya.

Ask for them to write a letter to breast Surgeon, some of clinic doc trying to make money buy selling non-effective products, gynecomastia only can be solved with surgery.

Clinic Doc is General Doc, they are specialist in cough and fever only, so my advice, do no take their advice, ask them to refer yourself to specialist,do not proceed with hormone test organized by clinic because you end up wasting your money...

no prob... i had to live with this without being able to tell anyone... even my parents
even though my gf has seen me without a shirt, we did not talk about it as well.. it's sorta like taboo...

my gf is the one who encourage me to go for the surgery... i rewarded her with a rm2k shopping spree smile.gif
anyhow, i don't want other people to feel like they can't talk about it... truthfully, i also never encountered anyone with man boobs til i stumble upon this forum smile.gif

PS. taking of my shirt in the public for the first time feels damn awesome thumbup.gif

Dear Jack Daniel,

It's very true that gynecomastia cant be solved by physical exercise. I have few doubts, hope you could shed some light on it:

1. Do u have any suggestion on which clinic that i have to go and get the reference letter from?

2. What type of surgery has been done onto ur kind self? Is it glandular removal or just liposuction?

Please assist. Thanks. unsure.gif unsure.gif

Congrats to those who had gotten rids of your men boobs. I was pretty down when I saw mine 2 years ago, devastated. Used to be fit at the age of 20, muscular chest & body but it all went south 20 years later when training stops due to career, big chest became saggy then what looks like boobs appeared. 2 years back while trying a top in Zara, felt so disgusted with my body when standing infront of the mirror, needless to say I walked away without trying. I do have some breast tissue behind my nipples, not a lot but it's making it sorta pointed and quite embarrasing when wearing fitted Tees, even thought of putting on nipple tape.

Surgery did crossed my mind but told myself why not try train back slowly first. Too embarassed to hit the gym, I went to buy a exercise bench and some dumbbells, did my training from home. Still going at it and plenty to catch up. So far it's helping at least for me.

actually most manboobs are just due to being fat. if one is able to reduce their overall body fat and do weight training, the manboobs will disappear and be replaced with normal pecs.

Not really, some guys just happened to have certain percentage of breast tissues. These have to be surgically removed.

During my fittest period, I was super lean but breast tissues behind my nipples makes it pointy. Only way to alter it was to hit really hard on my upper and middle chest.

I trained at home with dumbbells. Do have a bit of gyno, building a bigger chest helps makes my gyno less obvious.

The one i went to is Nicanor.. Dr. Heng is very nice and he will check whether it is fat or breast glands..

The cost is RM 12k with six follow-up treatments. I think there are cheaper or more expensive alternatives out there. I confirmed with Dr. Heng eventually because of his expertise and the way he handles patients..

how should i cure my problem? everyone is just laugh at me/ tease at me whenever i wear t-shirts

First of all, what's your BMI?
Need to figure out your height and weight.
If you're overweight, that's the culprit.
You have to lose weight and tone your chest muscles at the same time.

Well, I don't know about the current cost, but the doc will decide the cost and it also depend on severity. You're not going for brain surgery,so don't worry too much about the cost.

Well gov docs very simple, if you doubt their ability, you might opt another option. Like I said in my previous post, some docs not willing to do because it's not life threatening.

Hi Guys, I have to share my experience recently.

I been to PPUM Surgical Clinic on

- 11 May 17, nurse told me to go to normal clinic check first and come back here on Wednesday 24 or 31 May 17 8.30am, because 17May breast and plastic doctor both have exam.

-On 13 May 17, I went to a clinic near my house to ask the Dr help me check, he said not serious, but I insist him to write a referral letter to surgical clinic PPUM which he did.

-On 24 May 17, I went back to PPUM surgical clinic 8.30am, nurse took my letter and ask me wait at the bench. I didnt have chance to see the doctor. Then the nurse told me doctor said go take Ultrasonic screening and report and come back again on 7June 17 11am.

-On 24 May 17 evening, i went to KPJ imaging department, doctor use some gel apply on my chest, screen here and there like scan for baby. Took the report with pictures, and paid RM 163.

Will update again after i went back to PPUM.

Good luck guys.

how u talk to doctor? anyone can teman me ar?????

Just go to the clinic you familiar, especially those u have visit since from u small till now.

For me i go to the clinic near my house with chinese doctor, easy to talk.

Just tell the doctor the true, tell the doctor u been to PPUM surgical clinic, they need a letter written u have gynecomastia in order to queue for surgery, and u dont have money to go to expensive private clinic.

U must have the letter, if not surgical clinic PPUM wont entertain u.

Good luck.

Gynecomastia got two types:
1) Pseudo , just fat which can be removed with exercise/lipo
2) Gland, this one will stay forever unless surgically removed (I exercised till I can see my abs but still there)

You may refer to the video here (a lil bloody but it gives you an idea what is hiding underneath your puffy nipple):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sLkuFmp3KY

Mine is #2 one side / unilateral, got mine done below 3k @ Dr Cheong You Wei, Cheras in about an hour time. Still recovering. If you have some spare cash, do check him out. Usually he does not charge consultation fees and most of the treatments are very affordable.

Dear all,

Good day. Let me continue update my journey to PPUM,

-On 7 June 17, 11am I'm at PPUM surgical clinic. Wait for 3 hours until my turn to see the breast surgeon. The doctor actually very polite, examine my chest and my balls as well, said i'm perfectly normal in term of hormone. My gynecomastia ultrasound and report written my case is very minor about 1cm only for the tissue underneath my nipple, thus the breast surgeon reject to help me do the surgery since it is minor case. Since I wish something can be done on the structure of my chest, he transfer me to the plastic surgeon which I have made appointment on 21 Aug 17.

As with all surgeries, gynecomastia surgery also have some potential side effects:

Bruising and swelling.
Excessive fluid loss.
Rippling of the skin.
Asymmetry.
Excessive scarring.
Changes in skin pigmentation.
Loss of breast and/or nipple sensation.

However, each individual is different and might react differently to the treatment.

Have you got yours done? I am considering too

Hey I've had this problem since puberty, and I'm 18 now and want to get rid of it. Can anyone recommend any good surgeons in Malaysia or Singapore? I've seen some good reviews for Dr. Ivan Puah and his prices seem good.

Hi guys, if you are worried about invasive procedure like surgery or suction, please take a look at Coolsculpting. Can target even difficult or stubborn fats in many areas.

The doctors at ME Clinic are very good at it, visit their website ME Clinic

Look for Dr David Low or Dr Eric Law. They are very good and reasonable charge too.

hi guys... i got a problem but a little diff...

i am lean, around 8% body fats, i am muscular, my packs are out and my chest are huge... so huge that some girls say are bigger than theirs and are envy of other guys...

but the problem is my nipples are showing... i dont have a big/swollen areola, that part is normal/flat... it is just that how i say, the nipples are a little pointy

not the whole O, just the .

when i wear t-shirt/sports wear... the two nipples point out... i am now working at an office environment, with just long sleeve, it is obvious and to make it worse my shirts are slimfits... some as me to wear a singlet/under inside but it is hot..

any solution to this?

I just did it last month in Penang Adventist Hospital under Dr Danny Oh Siew Leng. Very affordable price.
Surgery RM6460.2 includes Consultation RM80 and registration RM10. Next day follow up RM10 only and most importantly no follow up charges from the surgeon. Additional payment was the chest garment RM25 per piece

The surgeon said wear for 6 weeks will do 24/7 not matter what but can release for shower 30min so no need to buy expensive one. But if after 1 month you feel like you want to release and observe for 1 day,no more swollen than no need to continue to wear anymore. Subsequent follow up I WhatsApp him for my condition very convenient

His email is dannysoh1@gmail.com or cosmetic@pah.com.my search for clinic nurse Carol. Remember to snap pictures and send to dr danny oh for email consultation before going for face to face consultation because this will save you a trip. I am from mainland Kulim, Kedah. First sent email with pictures and consultation through there, nurse Carol with liase with the cost of surgery (remember to inform you are Malaysian) and the deposit preparation if you are ok with the cost. So far, Dr Danny is the cheapest among Kl or Johor. He is very senior and humble surgeon that i ever seen. Most important he does not charge for follow up reviews and he allows whatapps follow ups. Meaning to say he does not mind patient calling him at all.

Thanks for the reply. The results good? smile.gif

So, first send an email for email consultation, then need to go to the hospital on the actual consultation right, before deciding on the surgery?

I have it too. It is probably due to high estrogens intake when we were young. Avoid beancurd, tofu, and foods that contain high estrogen. Eat more foods that might boost testosterone.

It is still depends on how much glands there are under the skin. Glands is not fat, it could not be reduced or totally gone. Glands is glands. If the glands are less than exercises would not be an issue at all or if it is than exercise will definitely help on it.
