Haha, its a pain waiting for the results from Petronas. But I got my results for SI the next day which coincidentally falls on my birthday. However, my application put into KIV cause the position I interviewed for has been withdrawn. So now back to waiting game again for placement.

Any body can tender their suggestion on the following:
I have been interviewed by Petronas GTS on September 13. HR has given me the confirmation mail on 1st week of October 13. But, surprisingly on Nov 13, they mailed me that my recruitment status is on hold (KIV). Till date I have mailed them several times, but they are replying back that my status is still on hold. Please let me know if the same is happened to any body in this forum. Is this the way of saying the rejection indirectly. Please help me with your suggestions.

Wonder if petronas will ever open jobs for degree finance graduates..
Been checking their website most of the time, no job at all for finance/accounts department.

Should I just submit my CV to the HR email and let they review it?

Hello everybody.as far as i noe, petronas always recruit sum1 that have cable or petronas scholar holder. I'm so disappointed with this situation. If u join the career fair for example, the petronas staff will ask u to submit ur application tru website. If that so what's the point of having career fair??..please leave ur comments and idea. Correct me if I'm wrong. Tq..😔

Hey man.feel sorry for u. I think they have another candidates that have cable or "kroni" inside. If not why suddenly they said to u that they hold the status even u already get the confirmation rite?this is juz my opinion. Hope u will get the seat soon.

You are wrong. I am non-scholar, non-bumi and didn't use any cable.

kinda agree. no point of petronas of having booth in career fair, if just usher people apply at their website.
anyway, u can get consider by petronas, even if you dont have cable or their scholar. just make sure the u have background in technical like engineering, drilling geophysic bla bla bla (u get the drift that kind of specific field)

people with that specific background that I mention probably have a higher chances of getting through to the 1st round of their recruitment process

When did u applied? U need to bear in mind that there are tons of Pet scholar in every batch, n they all entitled to SI. Each year got three batch. So, u just need to be better than them to get their attention Plus, 2014 shows some sour operation in OnG. so, not much job posting compare to last year. some of them even closed down their business (newfields etc)

Now not every scholar got the chance for an SI. They've already screen based on final year results (at least this is for overseas scholar, not sure for UTP tho)
