QUOTE(phyzoul @ Dec 3 2013, 07:22 PM) I Hope I Can Help You With My Case... i think yours quite fast. only 6 month and you got to go to the first stage. I think engineer people or anyone with engineering background, they process the application faster than non engineer background. Apply via Discover PETRONAS: Dec 2012 Structural Interveiw: 24 Jun 2013 (Passed) Technical Assesement: 2 July 2013 (Passed) 1st Chit Chat Session: 26 July 2013 (Failed- Result on 19 August 2013) 2nd Chit Chat Session: 20 September 2013 (Passed-Result on the spot after Chit Chat Session & Official result on 9 October 2013) Medical Check Up: Date on letter ( 29 October 2013). Receive via E-Mail 31 October 2013. Appointment with the hospital (1 November 2013) - All Checkup Normal, 2 Abnormal (Lungs & Hearing Test- Doctor said "Still Acceptable & Fit"). Submitted the medical report to HR (4 November 2013) Receive Offer Letter: 12 November 2013 PIPE: 2 January 2014 Report Duty: 2 December 2013 still waiting, but i'm not going to put all hope on petronas. anyway, if they call, i'm sure going to the interview... dah mcm menang 4d first prize pulaaa |

it's getting hard to even score a call from the petronas, especially with non related engineering background like me.

QUOTE(duckverve @ Apr 24 2014, 12:49 PM) Hello. Just to share with u guys. I have no cable with petronas. I have 4years experience working, degree in local uni, not a Pet scholar, just try my luck for 2nd time (prev I had submitted my resume on June 2013). good for you. my question is what are your qualification and what position did u applied?I) 5/2/2014 Submit my resume 2)20/3/2014 Got a phone call from Pet for a chit chat session 3) 21/3/2014 1st chit chat session 4)26/3/2014 Result 1st chit chat sesson -unsuccessful because dont meet the criteria 5) 1/4/2014 Got a 2nd inv for ano dept for chit chat session (so i consider here my 2nd chit chat session) 6)2/4/2014 2nd chit chat session 7) 3/4/2014 - selected for SI 8) 16/4/2014 - my SI with no role play 9) ..... Still waiting for the result if it's engineer related position (or drilling, or anything technical) for me is just ordinary. they always get priority to be called by petronas but if business related background (for example business admin, management)... i salute u would like to know your tips too even in this thread bisnes background (not related to anything engineer, drilling or technical bla bla bla) that want to apply for petronas are being sidelined This post has been edited by abdz: Apr 24 2014, 04:59 PM |

QUOTE(Boyz88 @ May 6 2014, 06:28 PM) Hello everybody.as far as i noe, petronas always recruit sum1 that have cable or petronas scholar holder. I'm so disappointed with this situation. If u join the career fair for example, the petronas staff will ask u to submit ur application tru website. If that so what's the point of having career fair??..please leave ur comments and idea. Correct me if I'm wrong. Tq..😔 kinda agree. no point of petronas of having booth in career fair, if just usher people apply at their website. anyway, u can get consider by petronas, even if you dont have cable or their scholar. just make sure the u have background in technical like engineering, drilling geophysic bla bla bla (u get the drift that kind of specific field) people with that specific background that I mention probably have a higher chances of getting through to the 1st round of their recruitment process |

QUOTE(Boyz88 @ May 7 2014, 04:35 PM) Hmmm..that's the problem. We didn't noe when exact time to apply. Pet scholar have special attention from petronas.that gud for them.the question is what happen to non scholar that didn't have experience but wants to join petronas??..it's very difficult. Huhu... well. u should not put high hope on entering petronas.for me, yea I would apply petronas, but I wont give it high priority. the key is just apply. if you're lucky, u go through the first stage. if not, it's not the end of your life, you can look anywhere else This post has been edited by abdz: May 7 2014, 05:01 PM |

QUOTE(hussain.isma @ May 21 2014, 03:24 PM) but ppl memang badly wanna masuk. Lol yes, i agree with you. i go to the graduan aspire also. but i skip the petronas booth. they dont take your resume, and what the touchscreen tablet do is just their survey after all. I know because petronas do the same when jobstreet career fair in midvalley before they also do this. still, people go make a queue in a long line, just like when there's hello kitty or minion doll in mcdonalds people queue also. Although you can say you can boycott them, but there is no use. people still coming and queue. mcm mcdonald. Line kat Graduan Aspire fair panjang giler. Resumes everywhere. 3 long queues in front of touchscreen tablets nak register on the spot.. And itu pula pukul 12pm, oni satu jam from opening. in my opinion, the only one who got the higher chances is the one with the engineering background related to drilling, technician and all sorts of related to the petroleum (be it geoscience bla bla bla..which you definitely have to plan earlier when you go to universities), because at least i see one guy manage to gave his resume, and based on what I peek, his degree is engineer petroleum something something. in my opinion, if you degree is not quite related to what I say just now, you might have to skip petronas and go find another company. mine is not related to any that i say just now. but i foolishly believe that I stand a chance to get to petronas, even the chit chat session. but after all this years, i think i just pass This post has been edited by abdz: May 21 2014, 09:47 PM |
