hmmm. i've been called by someone claiming that he is from petronas. however, the call was cut short because he needs to attend meeting. and until now, the person dont call me again. wondering if my application was dumped.

i think yours quite fast. only 6 month and you got to go to the first stage. I think engineer people or anyone with engineering background, they process the application faster than non engineer background.

still waiting, but i'm not going to put all hope on petronas. anyway, if they call, i'm sure going to the interview... dah mcm menang 4d first prize pulaaa

it's getting hard to even score a call from the petronas, especially with non related engineering background like me.

some people like my self, been submit cv to petronas discovery long enough, mine was last year, still never get any call.

good for you. my question is what are your qualification and what position did u applied?

if it's engineer related position (or drilling, or anything technical) for me is just ordinary. they always get priority to be called by petronas

but if business related background (for example business admin, management)... i salute u

would like to know your tips too

even in this thread bisnes background (not related to anything engineer, drilling or technical bla bla bla) that want to apply for petronas are being sidelined

kinda agree. no point of petronas of having booth in career fair, if just usher people apply at their website.
anyway, u can get consider by petronas, even if you dont have cable or their scholar. just make sure the u have background in technical like engineering, drilling geophysic bla bla bla (u get the drift that kind of specific field)

people with that specific background that I mention probably have a higher chances of getting through to the 1st round of their recruitment process

well. u should not put high hope on entering petronas.

for me, yea I would apply petronas, but I wont give it high priority. the key is just apply. if you're lucky, u go through the first stage. if not, it's not the end of your life, you can look anywhere else

yes, i agree with you. i go to the graduan aspire also. but i skip the petronas booth. they dont take your resume, and what the touchscreen tablet do is just their survey after all. I know because petronas do the same when jobstreet career fair in midvalley before they also do this. still, people go make a queue in a long line, just like when there's hello kitty or minion doll in mcdonalds people queue also. Although you can say you can boycott them, but there is no use. people still coming and queue. mcm mcdonald.

in my opinion, the only one who got the higher chances is the one with the engineering background related to drilling, technician and all sorts of related to the petroleum (be it geoscience bla bla bla..which you definitely have to plan earlier when you go to universities), because at least i see one guy manage to gave his resume, and based on what I peek, his degree is engineer petroleum something something.

in my opinion, if you degree is not quite related to what I say just now, you might have to skip petronas and go find another company. mine is not related to any that i say just now. but i foolishly believe that I stand a chance to get to petronas, even the chit chat session. but after all this years, i think i just pass

well i can see that anyone with chemical engineering background have higher chances of being called by petronas.

june -upload cv, sept - got offer letter (4 - 5 months only)

so freshie if you want to work with petronas better take chemical engineering course at universities

i don't think so. people still want to apply for petronas. whenever there are vacancy open, hundred and even thousand still want to apply
