QUOTE(vox9802 @ Apr 4 2014, 08:38 AM) You should call them. For your TA, which division interviewed you? Hey, I am in the same boat as the previous poster above. Who should I call, the HR or the Hiring Manager? I passed my SI and they called me countless of times since Feb to set a date. I set a date and change afterwards because they didn't reply and give me any confirmation. So should I call them again? I haven't done the medical check up. They told me I got the position but now I am not sure anymore. Any advise would help. Thanks.

QUOTE(eby5arz @ Apr 3 2014, 11:23 PM) Hi everyone. I went for the interview for a finance position with Petronas ICT last week. Not sure whether it was a SI or not. Basically its a three way interview between me and a finance manager and a HR Manager, it was interactive and took me about 45 minutes to finish. I was required to sit for these 2 psychometric tests called PAPI I and PAPI N prior to the interview. I passed the first interview and I'll be having a second interview with the head of finance. Kinda scared because I'm not really sure what to expect for the second round of interview. Anyone has experience getting interviewed by Petronas ICT? After the second interview last Friday, the HR made some call to my referees. My referees informed me that they need to fill up a set of questionnaires and have to submit it within a day. Today, I have received a call from HR. She informed me that I have been shortlisted. And she renegotiated my expected salary. Damn she brought it lower. She told me to wait for a week or two before they decide on hiring me as their staff provided my medical record shows a positive result. This is so stressful. Hi all, just sharing my experience here and have a question. Im a fresh grad.
I've been called to Petronas interview, the technical assessment first, then for the "chit-chat" session with the department head, personally, one on one. Then I got a mail of recommendation to proceed to SI. This is the second week after I got the mail but no any news yet for the SI , when and where.
The technical assessment is as the name suggest, asking for technical knowledge related to the field you are applying. Mostly technical questions and a bit problem solving.
The "chit-chat" session is with the department manager/ head (might not be the technical assessment interviewer) which he/she wish to know more about you and decide whether you should go for the SI or not.
My question is how long to wait for the SI call? The department head told me one of two weeks after the "chit-chat" but is the SI organized by HR? I believe different cases should experience different waiting time i suppose? just want to have some idea form who've had experienced it, and should I call the talent sourcing person to follow-up? thankyou.

Just want to ask for anyone that knows, what is the current procedure if you wish to leave PETRONAS before serving your scholarship bond? I have served ~6.5 / 10.
Is it still pay lump sum or in instalments? If instalments - any idea the period involved or is that based on discussion with ESU / HR?

Before, they allowed for you to pay pro-rata based on the time you have served your bond. I had to pay 7400 ringgit for missing 3 months before completing my 10 year bond. Obviously I paid the amount in one go. A good friend of mine finished paying his just last year I think. I think he managed to pay in in instalments for 10 or 15 years, I am not sure. Now I have also heard that they no longer allow this so .... all sorts of stories going around. Very difficult to discuss this properly with ESU/HR because then they will know that you plan to leave. Catch 20-20 situation here.

They actually hire a recovery management (3rd party) to collect all the loan. So, it's really tough to deal with them since they'll aim to get as much collection (lump sum) as possible as that is their KPI. No collection, no pay....tagline.

Wow, if that is the case, you may have to take out a personal loan to pay for the bond.

I suggest go for EPF Account 2. but try to nego first. they'll be tough at first but just play along. I managed to get installment plan suit to my financial. the good thing is, there's no interest imposed.
