I agree to this. I too had problem trying to contact HSBC cs. After pressing so many things and dumb me I kinda mistook the pin and the telebanking no. In the end I was lock-out after finally got In touch with a human being on the line and He told me i had to do auto reset which means I have to call again and key in my ATM number on my card la, ic num la etc etc...Such a waste of time the CS hotline.

from my experience calling CS, whenever you get lost thru the IVR, u get connected to a human being which normally helps you solve the matter instead of asking you to do it all over again as you can simple tell the person the details required by the IVR, I think they are just too lazy to attend calls... rclxub.gif doh.gif doh.gif if I were you I will request to immediately speak to their superior...BTW HLB is also not good...I tried...trust me...you call and from the sound of them, them seem like they dunno anything at all..blur...and all they assure you with is that they'll call back but if there's something they need they would say "by today" shakehead.gif even though I made the CS assure me that they'll call back the same day, I only received their response the next day...

What I mean is, in today's world, I can be anywhere in the world, whether physically or not, or if I'm awake/check-out/purchasing at different time zones.
If I need the CS help, it better be there, otherwise don't advertise 24-hours support or 1 hour replacement or whatever.

Bro, I wanted to cancel the card yesterday but instead HSBC begged me to keep my card. Click here to my Facebook page and read how I was conned too.

To ALL:

I just posted my article My Paris, New York and London Trip 2014. Matter relating to credit card in this said articles are:

1) My wife and I flew return to Europe on Business Class compliments of my credit cards (reward points converted to Enrich Miles).
2) Photo of Malaysia Airlines Lounge in KLIA and Heathrow. Air Canada Lounge in Paris where we entered using our Priority Pass Membership Cards issued from our credit cards.

even if the IVR menu doesnt list out, sometimes, pressing 0 (zero) will direct you to a human to answer the call.

that is what i did when i fed up pressing the IVR options, and most freakin' annoying is the call just cut off for no reason.

in any IVR "page", i'd just keep trying my luck pressing 0. some page accepts it, some will just ignore and ask you to make other selection.

In a situation like below:

1- Went to a handphone shop, swiped my PBB credit card, intended to make the transaction into 6 months instalment, however the sales assistant made a mistake when operating the CC terminal

2- the transaction went through, I received a call and SMS from PBB, however, the receipt did not came out from the shop's CC terminal

3- merchant bank is the same as my card issuer bank (PBB), they have called PBB requested to cancel the transaction, they claimed that cancellation has been done from PBB operator end

4- I called PBB separately to double verify, but the transaction is still in pending

5- Shop said they were unable to cancel the transaction from their terminal, they showed me all the CC transactions made today, my card wasn't listed, according to them, they can't make the settlement for my transaction

6- According to PBB, the transaction will be cancelled if the mercant has not made settlement within 10 working days

7- Shop issued me a memo detailing the situation, they will follow up with bank the next day. So, card swiped but cannot take the phone back home sad.gif

===
anyone here had a similar situation before? I encountered one time before but the shop was able to cancel the transaction, but not this time.

anyway, can the shop proceed to make settlement without a signed receipt?

will the transaction be posted to statement when the transaction is still pending?

the ambiguity part is: can they make settlement under this condition?

I have been double charged on several occasions due to terminal problem. What I usually do is, to call up CS to inform that there has been a double charge. The CS will say that the transaction is still floating and will need several days to clear off provided the merchant does not make a settlement.

It never happen but if lets say the merchant made double settlement, in this case, I will file a dispute and since I already inform CS earlier, I guess they have a record of it.

Let say my statement amount is rm1500.
due date 2 July
can i pay rm 500 at 15 Jun and then pay another rm1000 at 1 july?

means i separate the amount within the interest free period, in total the bank should also received rm1500 which is the statement amount before the due date.

just want to confirm if they will treat the first rm500 payment as i paid the minimum balance and proceed to charge me finiancial interest?

since the shop issued you a memo detailing the whole situation, there is nothing to worry about. the memo is sufficient for you to make a dispute if the shop make settlement without your consent (which i don't think they will make settlement anyway).

yes, you can pay in this way, don't worry. they only charge you interest on whatever outstanding balance (if any) after your due date (2/7).

As long as you have settle the amount (RM1,500) before due date (2 July) regardless of how much money and how many times...

To pay TNB using UOB payonline, I should choose Tenaga Nasional right?

How long it takes for the payment to be cleared?

Haha! Nice one sir. Enjoyed reading ur article.
Happy for that girl managed to changed ur mind. It would surely contribute on her performance months end rating.
A global bank begging u to stay. Usually kita yang begged for things like annual fee. Now the table has turned. rclxms.gif

All and all so far for me the best CS is Amex line. So fast to get in touch with a human being and they are so helpful and friendly. I may not know other CS lines but will do give you guys an update or a rant if anything please/displeases me in the future.
