I have just been rejected by citibank. And I m now trying ambank. Do u think ambank cc is easier to get? Or which other bank is easy in approving cc application?

easier to apply is one thing but the features/benefits of the cc should be the priority. i suggested for mbb2cards as it is a very good cc.
*
I was also thinking of hlb wise or uob one...cash back for petrol...I haven check out mbb cards yet. Btw wld like to noe if I hv just been rejected by citibank. Will it make it harder to apply from other bank?

for hlb wise 10%:
1) need to swipe >rm50 for min 10x in a month to qualify for the 10%
2) only 2 categories + mobile are eligible for the 10%
3) high annual fees starting second year (unwaivable - but some said can)

for uob one 5%:
1) max rm500 for petrol which is rm25 cash rebate
2) some categories are 2% and others 0.3%
3) need to swipe 60x to waive annual fee of rm68 for classic; need to swipe rm36k or rm60k to waive annual fee of rm168 for platinum (able to waive by calling the cs but depends on individual)

for mbb2cards 5% amex:
1) free for life on annual fees
2) weekends 5% on all category (provided if the merchant accept amex) + 5x points (equivalent to 2%)
3) weekdays earn 5x points (equivalent to 2%)
*
Honestly I dun earn much. Just tht i have fix bonus n overtime every month. Guess hlb wise is out of the question as the annual fees is so high. Is maybank easy to apply? But I hv already sent in my application. Guess hv 2 wait n c how. I also wanna noe how the count the annual income. Do u know?

if compare the 3 cc, mbb2cards should be the easiest to get.
and with annual income of rm30k can get already.

annual income based on gross (just provide prove like ea form or salary slips).
if you have been rejected by other banks before, don't worry, because different banks have different standard of evaluation.
just try to submit but not too many in a period of time. if you keep getting rejected, the banks will feel your desperation in getting a cc which is no good for you.
*
Ok...but I dun reach 30k I only hv abt 27k...n tis is my second application. If I cant get tis 1 maybe I'll try sometime around end of tis year. Guess I'll just hv 2 wait n c. Btw. Thx 4 ur advice

Hmm, if you have been rejected, suggest that u wait say 3-mths before applying again.

Have u tried to apply a CC where your salary is banked in?

How long have u been working. If u can show a consistent OT, Commissions, some Banks recognise such Income but it depends from case to case.

What is your Basic and Ot / Comms
*
My basic do not reach 2k...almost there by 100++...but ot hv every month as shown in my salary slip...I m v tis company 4 abt 9 mths...public listed company....but my salary not bank in to ambank. I hv a car loan v hlb which approved easily compated to cc...

I strongly agree UOB are lenient in approving CC application. MBB is getting more selective nowadays. As for your case, MBB might require you to pledge FD in order to be approved ! shocking.gif
*
Yes I agree uob is easy as my fren from Got rejected by citibank 4 his 1st card but uob approved but he made the application on roadshow at shopping complex.

You may try MBB maybankard cemter at KLCC, 1U or Mid Valley where they can process within 60 minutes... Or if you prefer RHB , visit them at KLCC (10 mins) . Others normally take 2 weeks.
*
I know...but the 1 hour or 10 mins is for those basic have 2k n above use epf contributions... I hv 2 k bcuz got overtime and allowance plus fixed bonus. thts y need go thru normal process... if I ask tomorrow do u think it is ok? I applied for Citibank n they rejected me in few days only... if tomorrow still pending do u think I hv chance? or I shld wait? rclxub.gif icon_question.gif I cant wait

I got rejected by 2 banks; ambank and Citibank. Citibank rejected once due to PDPA as my HR didn't release my info to Citibank. then the guy from Citi appealed for me and still rejected due to internal matter as my salary is around 2k inclusive of overtime but basic is near 2k too...then tried ambank n got rejected too. then I gave up n forgot abt the whole credit card thing... the today I received a call from Citibank, the same guy, cant get me thru handphone, called my office and say giving me another chance to appeal again and requested me to provide my latest payslip.
I just asked the guy from Citibank one question: are you here to gimme hope and break it up for the third time.
can anyone give some advise if this is gonna be successful? I hate being rejected 3 times from the same bank. vmad.gif mad.gif

nothing good comes from credit card if you don't have enough discipline to spend only within your limit  hmm.gif

i think she can apply for other bank's card if she has none or 1 credit card at the moment
*
Honestly I don't have a credit card. I just came to wanting a card cuz I just bought a car. Thought would be nice getting cash back 4 petrol as getting a car loan was not as hard as I thought it would. So I thought credit card will be the same. But citibank rejected me 2 times for one application. And now he called me to ask me try for the 3 time.saying something about manual processing the application for potential but got rejected people. Maybe he's interested in me....haha...
Btw...I sent him my latest payslips thru email and he never replied. Guess I'll have to wait and see. But its only a day now. God I hate waiting.

What Citibank credit card you applied for? Most Citibank credit cards don't earn you anything for petrol, and if it does, I got a strong feeling the cash back you get won't be enough to pay for the GST next year.
*
I can't remember what I applied for. Too long ago...I applied during February. N same here when I go thru da forum...I dun see much benefits in citibank cards

Yea...heard so too but afraid of being rejected so I just stopped considering on getting a card. Now I will just wait and see what's citibank's decision on their offer for me to appeal the 3rd time.
