Yes you can. You basically withdraw cash from your credit card to pay loan on the counter. Please take note of the Cash Advance Fee and the 18% interest that comes with it.

Your debt cannot be used to pay another debt. Only your asset can be used to pay another debt. How you got this asset (savings, borrowings, etc) is another matter.

Set your withdrawal limit as high as possible and withdraw money as many times as needed from the ATM at the branch you are doing your business. Another option is IBG with RM10K limit per day.

Is it a norm for you to disclose your payslips to the banks in your credit card application? I understand they are bound by confidentiality but my contract clearly states that my salary should not be revealed to third parties... Any thoughts or experiences?

Almost all bank will request payslip. If your contract state so then just ask the bank whether EPF statement alone sufficient. But EPF statement can see your salary as well, just that can't see what company it comes from only (AFAIK)

it should be alright to disclose for loan or credit card application purposes. unless the person who is handling your application is not trustable or someone who knows you and go spread to your friends.

True, they requested for payslips though, probably since I'm rather new to the job. Thanks!

Will have to place some trust on the person handling the application I suppose... I can't imagine other ways people make applications for credit cards/ loans if they didn't disclose their salary. Thanks for your reply!

If your income >100k then go for Public Bank Visa Signature. Otherwise your only option is CIMB Cash Back Mastercard.
