rclxm9.gif  but 1 problem... no 5x points... so u have to spend RM10k to get 10k TP to offset GST
*
Benefits:

No Annual Fee with no conditions attached.
Umrah Trip. One weekly Umrah winner (package for 2pax) will be selected to win an Umrah package (for Muslims) or holiday package (for non-Musilims) – non exchangeable / transferable. Every RM200 retail spending in one single receipt entitle for 1x entry. Campaign starts 1st August 2014 and ongoing. Winner selection will be done every six (6) months.
5% rebate on petrol and groceries on Friday and Saturday, capped at maximum of RM50.00 per customer per month (Principal Cardmember only)
Charity Fund. With every spending the Bank will contribute 0.1% for charity purposes.
FREE Maybank Touch ‘n Go Zing card
TreatsPoints. Every RM1 spend locally and overseas earn 1 Treatspoints

not a bad addition to existing MBB2card users here.

1) use existing TPs to quickly offset the GST (i presume this is allowed/can be done). generate 5X TP from Amex, use it for ikhwan-i cards smile.gif

2) additional RM50 cashback (petrol + groceries) for Friday & Saturday. Combine with mbb2card amex, 5% cashback for 3 days (Fri, Sat, Sun) to cover Petrol & Groceries thumbup.gif

3) based on the T&Cs, Maybank has the absolute discretion to determine the category of the merchant (petrol and groceries). possibly this is based on MCC? hmm.gif

this is great, especially for those who have got Visa as the "other card" for MBB2

so can use visa, master AND amex for TP collection

Actually kinda make sense too although it will eat into your effective % of maybank2card.

MBB2: for every year: RM12000 spending gives u RM600 cash back + 60000TP - 12500TP for GST
MBB Ikhwan: for every year: RM12000 spending gives u RM600 cash back + 12000 TP - 12500TP for GST

Total benefit p.a. for RM24000 spending is RM12000 + 52000 TP

Assuming we get RM50 for 12500 TP, e.g. petrol voucher: 52000 TP will give you RM150 + 9500TP

Effective cashback = RM1200 + RM150 = RM1350 (5.625%) + 9500 TP

compare with PBB Visa signature and HLB wise... close fight tongue.gif

Fixed rclxms.gif thx for the heads up.

I have decided that PBB Visa Signature is a better card to have because it gives you 6% everyday, compared to Ikhwan which is only friday and saturday. However, it does not cover petrol (you can always use amex for that).

So,
MBB2: effective 6.x% after use 12500 points to offset GST
PBB VS: effective 6% after use points to offset GST
Total: >6% rclxms.gif

Citibank? Try visit their branch. I'm not aware of any merchant using CTB, let alone encounter one. If you are interested in MBF Ambank pls call them at 03 21625224.

Some cashier counters at Subang Jaya Medical Centre are using EFTPOS from Citibank.

This is usually found on the first page of your CC statement along with several examples.

you owe the interest to the bank not visa/master. different banks set different interest rates for your unpaid balance. you need to check with your cc bank.

For UOB PayOnline, where you do get the Bill No for TNB Bill? The new format does not show the bill no at all, but it is a mandatory field at UOB PayOnline.

Public Bank Credit Card is expiring in September this year. I wanted to stop using it after it expires, switching to maybank.

1.) Should i do anything to cancel the card? Wanted to have 1 Maybank CC only.

Yes. You need to terminate the old card. Try call up CS and ask for the method.

As long as you do not activate your card.... Others won't be able to use them. Call your bank CS to inform them that you receive the sms that requires you to activate the card but still haven't received the card . Most probably they will cancel the card and issue a new one for you.
