MilesAndMore - check out my new Citibank Australia Platinum Credit Card  laugh.gif

user posted image

The annual fee of AUD199 will be waived as long as I have CitiGold status.

To read in detail how I got "lucky" getting the Citibank Oz Platinum credit card, click here to read my article Citibank CitiGold Debit Card and FREE Platinum Credit Card and Term Deposit Promo, at my Melbourne Victoria Australia blog.

I did not need to submit any proof of income too. However, the Credit Limit assigned to me is lower than all my Malaysia credit cards (except for OCBC TMC which I had previously I requested it to be lowered from the original CL).

FYI, the article above also touched on how to get perpetual higher interest rate from online accounts where we get introductory bonus interest rate for 3 to 4 months only.

The Gold card look like ATM card instead of Gold credit card... smile.gif

Just curious... roughly how much commission can one agent/bank staff make when he/she successfully gets someone to sign up for a credit card? Sometimes I see them like die die want you to sign up, follow you walking in the mall till like 50m or so..  sweat.gif
Surely there are people here working in the banking industry..  biggrin.gif

haha, I heard that RM50 will be received if the application is successful, not sure is true or not

yes since you are only starting to work, probably three months payslip with your EPF statement are needed in place.

Yesterday went to BHP for petrol, due to terminal is unavailable so need to walk in to the counter for credit card payment.

Saw one guy bring a credit card (not sure what is this card, its black color with Amex, Citi Amex???) need to swipe for petrol as well, but staff told that unavailable for that Amex card, then the guy walk away and i asked the staff, why no accept for Amex? the staff then told me due to system error...

No idea what is this mean system error, but I have succeeded swipe for MBB Amex previously, have you guy experience this before at BHP station??

Just now when to Tesco Extra Sungai Dua. During payment, in front of me, there was this auntie and she bought RM 2.50 stuffs.

When she was about to make payment, she paid using a card. Not sure if it's a debit or credit card. I was like WTH!
*
Haha, I have did the same thing before, went to Jusco and buy bread cost RM2.50, earn point and 5% rebate, but this is depend whether many ppl queue up or not. Otherwise, just use cash..

not really, if your income qualifies for a certain loan capacity (and you are still within the range) and your payment records are good, it won't affect.
however, it will somehow affect on your next cc application (rather than on car/housing loan) bcs you showed your desperation to get cc.

How about request to increase credit limit??

Is the credit limit will be set up to how many % based on the salary range?

I just signed up for a credit card at a shopping mall and realised that the terms are not exactly as what the promoter mentioned. I called to get her to cancel but she has been ignoring ever since.

If the new credit card arrive, can I just don't activate the card, cut and dispose it? Will it affect anything (i.e. in terms of annual fee etc..)?
*
I know the commission from bank will be pay to SA after the card has active, if you didn’t active it, they will not get the commission.

However, you also need to pay for GST (depend on credit card type), why not you can just active and use it to be entitled for RM50 rebate, just cancel after 6 months. No lose from you also.

Currently I'm using UOB One Card, I'm wondering if there is any other credit card (expect Wise Card) that provide up to 7% petrol cash rebate or higher than UOB One Card?
*
For Petrol, MBB2 Amex 5% rebate plus x5 point (equal 2% rebate) total 7% , but this is only applicable on weekends, not weekdays

Let say my statement amount is rm1500.
due date 2 July
can i pay rm 500 at 15 Jun and then pay another rm1000 at 1 july?

means i separate the amount within the interest free period, in total the bank should also received rm1500 which is the statement amount before the due date.

just want to confirm if they will treat the first rm500 payment as i paid the minimum balance and proceed to charge me finiancial interest?
*
As long as you have settle the amount (RM1,500) before due date (2 July) regardless of how much money and how many times...

Haha, you are lucky man...

Ya, I'm the one who stopped using UOB for petrol quite sometime, always aim for weekends. If not, just use UOB on weekdays...
