QUOTE(ckweng @ Jun 4 2016, 05:54 PM) Today my smallest swipe of around RM30 at Watsons received an SMS alert. Another transaction of rm80 at a restaurant also received. My current threshold is the min rm250. Today I swiped for RM4.90 but didn't receive SMS alert. This is the smallest transaction so far. Swiped another RM27.29 non-OTP online transaction and received alert too. This post has been edited by ckweng: Jun 6 2016, 04:27 PM |

QUOTE(edwardccg @ Jun 4 2016, 07:20 PM) thats weird, I call CS asking about the SMS alert, and they mention they have fraud department monitoring the transaction and they will send alert in: 1. yes, never missed on this1. any online transaction any amount 2. any transaction over RM250 (where minimum set on online banking) 3. retail transaction swipe which is not in our spending habit (eg first time swipe in that merchant) but they cant give me any reason why i didnt received the alert for my swipe as i only hold the card not more than a month. They just keepsaying they unable to set alert to RM1. 2. happens many time whereas transaction >rm250.. sometime more than hundred k.. yet no SMS alert or email.. i think the bank send SMS random on this , they will contact u if they feel suspicious .. seldom... 3. yes .. if u did not receive any sms alert.. no.2 apply in this case |

I didn't received sms alert for non online transaction with amount lower than 250.Swiped another RM27.29 non-OTP online transaction and received alert too. The behavior seems random. Or maybe new customer they will not send if below the value set QUOTE(aromachong @ Jun 7 2016, 11:08 PM) 1. yes, never missed on this Seems so random. I think i will just need to monitor the available balance in the day after the swipe.2. happens many time whereas transaction >rm250.. sometime more than hundred k.. yet no SMS alert or email.. i think the bank send SMS random on this , they will contact u if they feel suspicious .. seldom... 3. yes .. if u did not receive any sms alert.. no.2 apply in this case Feel not safe especially when merchant swipe twice and did not void it properly. We will not know that if no sms alert This post has been edited by edwardccg: Jun 8 2016, 11:22 PM |

I'm sorry if this has been asked before as I couldn't find it here or previous thread after searching
I've just received my first statement (2 cards combined). If I pay by IBG, do I pay to each of my card (2 transactions), or just 1 will do and SCB will apportion it across both of my card accounts? |

QUOTE(sendohz @ Jun 11 2016, 11:55 AM) Ermm but it was stated there exclude petrol and insurance payment. I will reply here instead. Therefore is insurance payment eligible for cashback? Let me give you a clear picture: To maximize cashback of so-called 5%, you would need to fulfill RM1500 of retail spending to get RM50 per month. SCB suggested that you can spend RM1000 on retail transactions, and RM500 on petrol and insurance. This way, you spent RM1500 for all types of transactions and got RM50 back, so indirectly you also get 3.33% cashback for insurance too. |

But i better play the safe way of excluding insurance payment and opt for other options. Might try VOX CC and pay at aia website just to test it. Thanks alot. |
