Just got my card approved.
Just wanted to know if retail purchases is equal to 'general' purchases? Or is there any specific set of MCC for retail categories?

QUOTE(rdevil33 @ Jun 3 2016, 02:05 PM) I had spent RM500 1st jun but sms registration on 2nd jun. Is the 1st Jun considered min spend for 18.88% cb? My friend call CS to ask this too, was told that is counted from registration date.. But whether CS info is reliable or not is really another consideration..

Not similar to HLB promo, you might want to read the T&C first. https://www.sc.com/global/av/my-dining-cash...paign-final.pdf

QUOTE(mamamia @ Jun 3 2016, 08:06 PM) Mind to quote the tnc? I read through cant find it.. Not sure is it I overlook.. Ok, now I get what you mean. The T&C quoted: QUOTE b) Spend the minimum amount of RM500 in any retail transactions (whether local or international) excluding cash advances per Campaign Month using their SCBMB Card during the Campaign Period (“Minimum Spend Criteria”) c) Customer stands a chance to receive CashBack up to 18.88% of the amount transacted (“CashBack”) for dining This means the minimum spend of RM500 can be also allocated for dining category, so to enjoy 18.88% cashback you just need to spend RM500 to RM529.66 for dining, which is better than I thought.

QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Jun 2 2016, 07:38 PM) Once logged in, click on your credit card number, look for online reward, it will bring you to another screen, select redeem cash and it will show how much cashback you have, from there you may redeem it. curious to ask.. just start using SCB cash back from May only.. will wait till end June and see..

"If customer is entitled to rewards under more than one promotion or campaign run concurrently by the Bank, the Bank reserves the right to determine which reward the customer is entitled to." - Run Up Your Rewards 2016 campaign
Does this mean that I need to choose wisely whether I want to be considered exclusively on the above, or the dining 18.88% cashback campaign?

QUOTE(mamamia @ Jun 4 2016, 02:25 PM) Should be the merchant not clear on the procedure.. That's y asked u to sign.. I think terminal also different. When i used in popular, printed receipt from terminal mentioned "pin verified, no signature required", and the reciept do not have any area to sign. When using at Kinokuniya, the receipt printed have the signature box so merchant ask me to sign.

Today my smallest swipe of around RM30 at Watsons received an SMS alert. Another transaction of rm80 at a restaurant also received. My current threshold is the min rm250.

thats weird, I call CS asking about the SMS alert, and they mention they have fraud department monitoring the transaction and they will send alert in: 1. any online transaction any amount 2. any transaction over RM250 (where minimum set on online banking) 3. retail transaction swipe which is not in our spending habit (eg first time swipe in that merchant)
but they cant give me any reason why i didnt received the alert for my swipe as i only hold the card not more than a month.
They just keepsaying they unable to set alert to RM1.
