Guys, I some advise here in regards of relocation. I have requested for relocation at TMpoint UTC on Sunday and there was no phone call until today.
Called Unifi helpdesk for assistance and I was told there is no order for relocation. Plus, I did not receive order number from the counter. I only received a photo stated new address form.
Is this a normal procedure?

Hi guys, My UNIFI modem optical light turn red. It happened yesterday evening after i came back from work.. previous day was still ok.. my modem on 24 x 365.. I inspected fiber optic line from the FTB to BTU and confirmed no breakage.. I called TM and asked to reset and have reboot the modem.. nothing was working so far.. TM told that UNIFI at my area is working fine.. I google and mostly said the fiber optic is break when the optical red is up.. appointment made with TM contractor to come for diagnose at tomorrow.. I want to ask.. If the modem K.O.. do I need to pay for the replacement and how much? If the fiber optic KO and need to replacement.. how much? It make me worry because I heard ppl said that the fiber replacement may cost few hundred.. TQ

TQ Modem, I am not sure, but having experience router (DIR615) spoilt last year, and get a replacement that charged into the bill, cost RM170 for it. Equipment given got 1 year warranty as far as I told. For fiber, anything up to the DB terminal, is TM responsibility, only after the DB, then it is at customer expense. Router (ie D Link DIR615) 1 year warranty, BTU its TM. So If your D-link spoiled, you actually can buy other router that can be cheaper. If its BTU that is spoiled, then TM should not charge you.

Hi guys, I am using VIP 5 and would like to stream live tv channel using my raspberry pi on my tv. But the stream is not very smooth and I would like to know how could I possibly detect the problem whether is the internet speed, router or the server. Can QOS, port forwarding or any other method help improve video streaming and stability? Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your time. are you streaming via LAN cable or wireless? stock router? if the stream is still not smooth via lan cable, then most likely it is routing issue. if it is smooth by LAN, but jerky on wireless, then perhaps the location is a bit too far, or hardware limitation of the router. others might be able to give better input, as my knowledge is fairly limited. QOS would only help if you are torrenting at the same time. i have a rpi running raspbmc and it streams okay from the PCs that are connected to the same wireless network. have not tried live tv as i hardly watch live stuff on the rpi

Hello fellow forumers, I got a noob question to ask. Will I be charged of anything as I turned down the installation of unifi as I don't feel comfy with the contractors (crook face)? They told me they need to drill here and there and shown me a brown cable as thick as a drainage pipe!

But if you work out the reason and ask for another contractor I believe there will be no charge. Also, maybe this time you ask your friend to be with you. There will be multiple person at your home, this will make you felt unsafe. As for the drill, only small hole. The cable cover is about 1-2cm only in diameter.

Anyone has any idea when unifi will be available in bandar country homes, rawang? I just moved from Gombak to saujana rawang. I applied for a transfer of my current Streamyx 4mbps line to the new house but they said there isn't any available port at my new place and I have to cancel the line to avoid any unwanted payments. When I asked if I can atleast upgrade to Unifi, they said Unifi is not available in the place. Is this real? I'm currently in a huge dilema as my work depends hugely depends on internet. Anyone can help with any suggestions?
