QUOTE(wychie @ Oct 23 2013, 03:09 PM) Thanks for the reply. Meaning once I apply the package I can have 5 phone number to use? No extra device needed.Do I need extra device for this to work and pay extra monthly charges? Where can I find more information? Thanks a lot. Just register the favourite number with the CS. As unifi account still got charge (record) for any call made through the number. |

Normally the upgrade offer is offered to those near or after 2 years contract, whereby if accept the offer, another 2 years contract bound.
It is not available to everyone, certainly not for new subscriber, As after 2 years contract, one can terminate the service and can migrate to another provider (like Maxis if available) who may use the same infrastructure. |

QUOTE(winkiedilwy @ Jan 23 2014, 06:18 PM) This promo is for selected customers who've used UniFi for more than a year. Not sure about contract tho. I don't mind upgrading really. We've got time till 31st January lol. My company upgraded from 5 to 10 package just months ago, I had asked the personnel who confirmed there will be another 2 years contract bound if agreed and accepted the offer.P/S: Never used such satisfying internet service before lol. Anyone upgrading? You upgrade, I upgrade |

QUOTE(mivec1200 @ Jan 28 2014, 11:26 PM) Hi guys, Modem, I am not sure, but having experience router (DIR615) spoilt last year, and get a replacement that charged into the bill, cost RM170 for it.My UNIFI modem optical light turn red. It happened yesterday evening after i came back from work.. previous day was still ok.. my modem on 24 x 365.. I inspected fiber optic line from the FTB to BTU and confirmed no breakage.. I called TM and asked to reset and have reboot the modem.. nothing was working so far.. TM told that UNIFI at my area is working fine.. I google and mostly said the fiber optic is break when the optical red is up.. appointment made with TM contractor to come for diagnose at tomorrow.. I want to ask.. If the modem K.O.. do I need to pay for the replacement and how much? If the fiber optic KO and need to replacement.. how much? It make me worry because I heard ppl said that the fiber replacement may cost few hundred.. TQ Equipment given got 1 year warranty as far as I told. For fiber, anything up to the DB terminal, is TM responsibility, only after the DB, then it is at customer expense. This post has been edited by cherroy: Jan 29 2014, 09:17 AM |

QUOTE(PoorVenderz @ Feb 10 2014, 06:15 PM) Yes, new package, new contract.I confirmed with the customer service officer, when my company upgraded Biz5 to Biz 10 with promotion of extra Rm20. There is reason why this kind of offer is made to those subscriber nearly 2 years as well as those already exceed 2 years, and not listed as "standard package" for new subscriber. QUOTE(apisfires @ Feb 19 2014, 07:49 AM) i want to ask, how much power socket unifi use? 4? BTU + router = 2 power socket needed, excluded your computer.can ask unifi install in my room for unifi set? i rent my room... my room is 1st floor, ground floor is my home owner space hall room.. i dont have smart tv, so can pasang Hypp direct to my monitor right? have HDMI VGA and DVI slot.. If for VIP, another one for STB. So total 3. Based on last time experience. For landed premise, FTB (a white box terminal) can be placed at anywhere, ground floor or first floor, just talk to the installer, as long as the place is easy accessible, and convenience to install. If not mistaken,if my memory still good, when last time installed time, after FTB, free fiber cable length is given until 15M to connect to the BTU (modem). So 15M should be long enough to pull until your 1st floor room generally. So even if FTB at ground floor, one still able to pull the fiber from ground floor to first floor then only connect to the BTU that locate at first floor. Hyyptv got HDMI output, but I have no experience on connecting STB HDMI port to a monitor HDMI port. |

QUOTE(InfoO2 @ Feb 21 2014, 10:46 AM) HI sifu here, I having wifi problem with TM L7NR2000 router, I wanna change to dlink but they say no more stock, what solution do I have now? Only the dlink router support ipv6 and no issues with the router. Temporarily solution, I did, (if just facing wifi issue, not LAN), if have unused old streamyx wifi router (A), I just set it to bridged mode, plug into the L7 router through LAN. So wireless device connect to A wifi, then through LAN to L7. This post has been edited by cherroy: Feb 21 2014, 11:02 AM |

QUOTE(audiocool @ Feb 21 2014, 02:17 PM) My VDSL2 for SNR Margin d1,d2,d3 (down stream) is around 16.XX while upstream SNR Margin = 9.X for u1, u2 Almost identical with streamyx SNR one. While my friend reading SNR Margin d1,d2,d3 (down stream) is around 25.XX while upstream SNR Margin = 10.X for u1, u2 since you said above 8dB should be ok, can you advise the above 2 different reading which one will perform better? I got from the link below but it is for Streamyx SNR Margin. Good Article.. Not sure if this is applicable to Unifi. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/222851 Look at attainable rate, a good SNR reading should able to get around 30Mbps attainable rate in VDSL2. |
