@aloy88
I think its screwed. Easiest way to test is go to a dark room and take pic with a little light source e.g. LED on air con, LED on PC etc. |

QUOTE(aloy88 @ Sep 19 2013, 09:46 PM) Hey just wanna check with u is this normal with my camera ? Just realise that the light is sorta like x shape during taking photos This one is OK. Looks more like flaring. Thats normal. But maybe your glass cover is a bit dirty? Is it smudged with fingerprints or oily? Because the picture looks like it with the halo-ish glow and all |

QUOTE(choonwai11 @ Sep 19 2013, 09:45 PM) of cos they will try to denied all warranty claim. sure u need to put some effort to talk and nego, is our right. Their older phones you can S-ON back and it will look as though the phone has never been fiddled around with. I'm not sure about the One. Bottom line is when you send your phone in, it must look like its never been fiddled with.btw, S-off and unlock bootloader is different, S-off is not authorised by HTC, while unlock bootloader through HTCDEV is a official acknowledge procss from HTC. so S-off confirm no warranty. As for them trying to deny all warranty claims on unrelated matters, etc., I feel that is poor customer service. To deny first and then the customer having to negotiate? That is horrible horrible horrible customer service. It is our right as a customer to get the promised warranty and services without having to negotiate for it or threaten them with filing claims. Any less is cheating your customers. If they actually investigate, and say for example, "rooted and overclocked phone led to overheating and thus spoilt some hardware, thus warranty claim denied", that I can accept. But to just say "unlocked BL. No warranty," that is a rip off. At least the SIS and Brightstar centre in Penang la. I don't know about other service centres. He kept saying 'not sure not sure' will send to HTC and see. If they don;t replace. I think I can live with it.. But if my phone got even a single hairline scratch or any sing anywhr. I am going to flame at them badly and request for a new phone. Since it's just 3 days old and RMA lol. Sigh. My camera was totally fine though hmm. |

HTC made bad decision to appoint these two lousy resellers as their distie, spoil the brand nia. If you have to complain and escalate to get service, thats crap and a big "Beware!!! Potential Customers Stay Far Far Away" sign...i truly agreed this is very poor customer service. i am not sure is HTC it self or brightstar/Sis issue in Msia, because i deal before with Spore HTC, the service is quite good, they even offer to pickup ur phone(in spore area)for any service required if you make arrangement with them. i have experience with brightstar for a motorola phone, 2nd day already LCD have dead line, request exchange 1 to 1 at counter not success, but after i complain to Motorola and brightstar headquarters, after 2 weeks finally they give me a new unit. I dont think HTC has a real physical presence in Msia. I may be wrong... IMHO SIS and Brightstar service is worse than some of the AP importers. I am in the UK now. It does seems that the purple tint issue has magically gone away when the weather is cold. It does have noise though.

This is the only phone so far that is tempting me away from my current iPhone 5. But the issue with the camera is a deterrent. I am very looking forward to a future replacement to this HTC One. Great screen size for my hands. 5" screens will be overkill for me. I hope the next replacement will be of similar built quality while retaining the screen size, with a dream that the battery capacity will increase.

QUOTE(adriancs @ Sep 19 2013, 10:45 PM) 2 years ago yes. Now I don't know. SIS is in Pulau Tikus Plaza same building where Hong Leong Bank is, opposite CPT. Brightstar in Prangin Mall. There is no more service center in Penang, but there is one HTC counter in Prangin Mall, they will just help you to ship phone to the service center to KL. |

QUOTE(adriancs @ Sep 19 2013, 05:49 PM) Based on experience dealing with HTC's service partners in Malaysia, as long as they can detect you have an altered bootloader or custom ROM (whether through Relocked BL, or requested unlock code, or S-OFF and forgot to S-ON), warranty will be denied outright. This is true even back in the windows phone days. I have had hardware mechanical failure (unresponsive mechanical button) warranty denied because my phone was S-OFF. not necessarily..i've had my one x motherboard replaced and my phone have been unlocked, custom rom installed before but in order to have them replaced i just reflashed stock rom and relocked the bootloader. it works for me and i've successfully changed motherboard without spending a single cent So whether you want to argue with them or file a small claims, you can, but I know for a fact, first hand, that warranty will be denied first. |

I think it is not about SenHeng, for resellers, they carry and sell. We just want good before purchase service and pricing. HTC problem is with their customer care and service centre. Dont sent through reseller. Get HTC to collect the phone from you. My phone dead after 2 weeks i bought it and stupid HTC took 2 weeks to fix and send it back to me. HTC One for your info
