1) double size - yes
2) double speed - yes (very significant on hdd. ssd in real world u wont feel much diff bcos 1 ssd is already fast enuf)
atleast dats frm my point of view.

That depends on which RAID you're talking about.
If RAID 0, yes, both size & speed will increase.
If RAID 1, no.

There are a lot of RAID types to choose from.

If you search for reviews, most site will pointing it to Samsung 840 Evo for their price and performance. Thats why Im choosing it too. rclxms.gif

You can get the 250GB version around RM 580 now. Just my 2 cents! blush.gif

Yeah LOL. I installed Windows 8 on my friends 6 year old laptop and holy hell it loaded under 25 secs despite having only a 5400rpm HDD, let alone a 500MBs SSD.

LOL at the something wrong part. For those who don't believe it, you can try to upgrade your HDD to SSD. You won't regret and miss your old HDD. biggrin.gif

You just only bought your SSD isn't it? You try again once you fill up your SSD, see whether still can get 2-4 seconds or not whistling.gif

Btw, there are two methods people use to test boot speed, one is right after pressing the power button and one more is when the BIOS screen appears.

Ya la, everything is the fastest when you just only installed the OS into the SSD. Like I said try to fill up your SSD first the say again later, but hor I'm not exactly sure how the EVO would perform hmm.gif

If you bought a high end OCZ product, you dodged a major bullet. Of you didn't and bought cheaper end ones, I'm sorry, but Toshiba just canceled your warranty.

Nobody is doubting your claim, we all have achieved such boot time speeds also what brows.gif I'm using a Pro version and I remember having such speeds when I first installed the OS and some programs/etc but fast forward 7 months and the speeds drop quite a bit.
