imo la, 2.7k is a decent salary. they will send you for trainings, offshore etc. and when youre at one of the 3 rigs they are currently operating(presuming you are in the drilling side) you are bound to get some sort of allowance.

but most importantly is the name petrofac wch will add more weight to your resume, it wont do much now but imagine after 2 years, a few wells here and there. and thats just a small figure im giving. take the a lengthier time period, per say 5 years and youll be pulling in some massive $$$$ the next destination comes knocking.

thats my opinion la. based on my own exp, i did jump after a short period, but i gained better terms/salary/etc for that short period i stayed with my previous comp and the opportunity was right.

depend what position and department, offshore higher (Petronas principal exploration already 50k++ monthly)....mostly my place retire e been paid RM20K++, ,and they are direct hired...no need interview, straight away call them in...my ex-big boss just join Petronas this year..heard he being paid for RM90k++   ...

Were you accepted as a fresh grad in your current company ?

Yeah, they do accept fresh grad, but I didn't join as one. I worked two years in China in an unrelated industry before joining them in Qatar.

when you have nice experiences on your resume.. your jump will become very2 worthy.. in my opinion, for person involve on project basis of work, it is good to stay until completion of project~ 2-3 years min..  but if it is gemusut-kakap project, berjanggut gak ahh.. 

Heheh..bro.. true story. Ada yang join Gumusut dari awal masa tu fresh grad, bila gumusut sailaway dah jadi manager dah pon. Anak dari baby dah nak masuk darjah 1.

hi, i'm new here.

currently im working in of the O&G vendor as technical engineer for supplying variety of pumps for onshore and offshore usage (but more suitable as kuli only  )

I'm really lack of exposure in this field and actually i was aiming for services or operation kind of job. I'm joining this discussion to get more networking and knowledge with all brother and taiko2 here if possible 

Any idea on how to enter services company? starting with local company also ok. Gain experience first, salary second.
