QUOTE(kslee79 @ Aug 23 2013, 12:27 AM) Cannot deny this industry is cyclical and very dependent on whether the company you're working for managed to renew their contracts. So, no more rotation for me since I am back to my home country. The work arrangement will be on-call. TalentCorp as I am just a regular degree holder, would require 5 years plus outside Malaysia to return and get the goodies. So, I did 6 years in Qatar, 2 in Brazil, now can balik and enjoy a bit... Then cabut again in 2~3 years time, wash, rinse, repeat! TalentCorp REP is easy to apply (can be done online), especially when you're in O&G industry since it is NKEA. GreaT!..

QUOTE(mhyug @ Aug 22 2013, 06:03 PM) apakah persolalan ini. of course you'll be taxed. dont evade paying taxes, but file your claim wisely to avoid being taxed excessively yo. Sorry bro, just wondering coz with the pay like that, tax will be high, like max 27%? The amount of tax you paid maybe bigger than my current pay...

imo la, 2.7k is a decent salary. they will send you for trainings, offshore etc. and when youre at one of the 3 rigs they are currently operating(presuming you are in the drilling side) you are bound to get some sort of allowance.
but most importantly is the name petrofac wch will add more weight to your resume, it wont do much now but imagine after 2 years, a few wells here and there. and thats just a small figure im giving. take the a lengthier time period, per say 5 years and youll be pulling in some massive $$$$ the next destination comes knocking.
thats my opinion la. based on my own exp, i did jump after a short period, but i gained better terms/salary/etc for that short period i stayed with my previous comp and the opportunity was right.
