Good day to all OnG Sifus out there.
Can you please shed some light on the job scope of an Chemical Application Engineer working for Nalco in a refinery setting ?
Also, how is Nalco as a company ? Good benefits ? Decent pay ? High pressure work environment ?
All feedback & advice is much welcomed and thank you very much in advance !

QUOTE(kslee79 @ Aug 23 2013, 12:27 AM) Cannot deny this industry is cyclical and very dependent on whether the company you're working for managed to renew their contracts. So, no more rotation for me since I am back to my home country. The work arrangement will be on-call. TalentCorp as I am just a regular degree holder, would require 5 years plus outside Malaysia to return and get the goodies. So, I did 6 years in Qatar, 2 in Brazil, now can balik and enjoy a bit... Then cabut again in 2~3 years time, wash, rinse, repeat! TalentCorp REP is easy to apply (can be done online), especially when you're in O&G industry since it is NKEA. Fuyoh bro ! Tali aku masuk your company la !

QUOTE(kslee79 @ Aug 24 2013, 05:24 PM) Hahaha, one have to literally 'do-time' outside the country, not that it is company specific! Were you accepted as a fresh grad in your current company ?

QUOTE(kslee79 @ Aug 26 2013, 04:44 AM) Yeah, they do accept fresh grad, but I didn't join as one. I worked two years in China in an unrelated industry before joining them in Qatar. So you weren't in upstream operations before this ? Was your previous work related to oil and gas in any way ?
