i never get black and white for my cancel credit card.
for me, as long as its don't appear anymore on ccris, its good enough. Its take a year to totally remove a cancel credit card from ccris.

Does the cancelled credit card's past payment records still in ccris after the 1 year?

That depend on the bank. Some might dont want to release the customer.

It offers 4xPPL entries and I have the AEON Gold MasterCard which gives me 6xPPL entries but it looks nicer compared to AEON Gold. I really don't like gold colour card.

Not sure if it is easy to waive the AF?

this rhb plat should be the best among all other rhb cc in their list.
i was told that the 4x ppl entries can be used all at one time, say, if you have 4 person in your family.
among other benefits not listed in the link are mega sales on mar-may & oct-dec at aeon (dept&hyper), etc.
af and gst easily to be waived by 3 swipes a year.

Any one here from Classic/Gold card get upgraded to platinum from bank which does not required to proof ur income? or we need to ask for upgrade ourself after years of using the classic/gold?

My still appear in CCRISS but the card number changed to my i/c number now .

he said now rhb different already. last time also not as easy to swipe just 3x to waive both af and gst. and i double triple confirmed with him about the entry to ppl can use up all at one go. he confirmed it by saying that other banks cannot but rhb can because he already tried himself. and he said the feature is like this because many don't have the chance to travel so often. so if can use 4x for once or 2x for twice will be more attractive.

he said rhb had more than 300k users cancelled their cc in the past few years. so they are worry to lose more customers and will be more than happy to maintain the existing while growing new customers.

ps: why not allow your wife to enter while you stay outside that time? gentleman ma hehe...

received CS called just now and the CS barked at me just because her offered did not accepted by me and I insisted to cancel the credit card.

is RHB CS that bad nowadays. I called the CS to cancel my card the other day and she sound bad, now offered me to retain the card but yet doesn't sound sincere and barking pulak when I kept declining the offer

No CS from whatsoever bank or institution should bark at customer. period.
I would have lodge a complaint to the CS' boss.

just get her name and report it. nowadays, i will always ask for the callers' name first.

I requested for termination last week and can be seen that they had "blocked" the card. It means that you are no longer able to use the card. However, it is not fully terminated as they will try to convince you to stay with them, a.k.a retention program.

I called again and insisted for termination and requested the termination letter to be sent via email, ASAP. Let's see whether I'll get it tomorrow.

Same case with CIMB, they are still holding my card termination request, blocked but not fully terminated. It's such a pain in the backhole these banks...
