this is not about study or what, if REALLY got wifi problem then I should
face the SAME problem as well. If you buy a car, your RIM make an
annoying sound, does that mean ALL got same problem? Like I said
so far no problem yet. Not only Dell, asus hp toshiba msi acer and other
also will face their own problem. Thats why in the first place manufacturer
provides WARRANTY if confirm no problem, they surely provide 9000
years warranty, correct?

Does anyone changed their 5460/5470 ram from 4GB to 8GB?

I'm worry on the warranty coz the bottom panel need to be removed for upgrade.

just to correct your understanding,
its not the laptop got problem with wifi.
the problem is the wifi card itself.
the wifi card for 5460 is short range frequency, which cause intermittent disconnect if u use the laptop in public.
thats all.
it happen to all model, not only few model like what u describe in example above.
if your wifi signal is strong and wide, then u wont have problem with your laptop.

Performance in what?
CPU is about on par.
GPU, 5460 / 5470 better.
responsiveness - MBA 2013 with that Samsung proprietary (similar to m.2 but not m.2) SSD win hands down vs HDD in 5460/5470. To rectify this, get a SATA SSD and swap with the HDD.
Screen - both TN, both MBA (in my opinion) is better.

Quite a few owners posted they have increase RAM to 8GB.
As mentioned, there is only 1 RAM slot. So you need to buy 8GB stick and replace the 4GB stick.
5470, better stay with DDR3L (~ RM250).
5460, some owners said could use DDR3 (~ RM200).

Quite easy to remove the bottom panel (access to almost all components). Good idea to learn so that you could remove dust from fan / heat sink yourself in the future.

what is the different between DDR3 vs DDR3L?
