Just got mine today itself, ordered from Dell, took around 1 week plus to deliver to me which is not really an issue.

Hasn't really start using it yet, just boot up to configure and play around with it less than 30 minutes so I can't really provide any review to it.

Overall, it feels good, with the aluminium design, it feel cold in aircond room, wonder will it become hot if it is not...Very thin, very light weight. Looks like it is a finger print magnet due to the design so for those who like their laptop to look nice all the time might need to wipe it every time when using it

I ordered mine about a week ago. Dell just email me today saying that it should arrive latest by 17th which is this Friday.

Ordered the Red cover with Ubuntu. Don't really fancy Windows 8 and I have an original W7P on hand.

Will probably get a 120GB SSD and 8GB RAM next week and do some self-upgrade.

Yup, the i5 as it has the Ubuntu OS option (which I don't really need).

I was told by a forumer that it is able to take SSD. I'm still holding the purchase until I get the ultrabook and have a look at the standard hard drive.

I ordered and paid on the 7th. Dell emailed me yesterday that it should arrive latest on 17th. Quite long if you ask me.

devour used his enrich card to pry the sides..you can do that also, this laptop has no problem to use 8gb ram, no question.

it also has good ventilation with 2 fans and heatsink between them. i use this laptop for video editing which utilize the graphic card as well through nvidia cuda technology..no overheat issue so far..

the down part for me is only the resolution 1376 x 768 ..but its still forgivable..this laptop is value for money..

i always use adobe premiere with this laptop which is a heavy resources software..and it is very smooth..love this laptop...

I want to get the Ubuntu model because I don't like win8 and feel I need a long time to get used to it, which I don't have time for as I need to do a lot of important assignments. Don't want to fork out extra for an OS that I dislike.

But Inspiron 14 is much much heavier. 2kg if not wrong. 
I guess the most popular reason people buying this model is for its slimness and lightness.

ya but what I trying to tell him that is if battery is the MAIN concern shouldn't go for this.

Just finished my testing on the battery life.

Machine Spec: Stated in my signature
OS: Stated in my signature

Settings:
- 100% brightness
- no screensaver
- power management turned off
- WIFI connected

1. Turned on my laptop without any power from the adapter.
2. WIFI connected automatically.
3. Leave it as it is on my desk.

Result: It can last approximately 3.5 hours (left 5%)

Other Findings:- The heat is very minimal.

manage to upgrade to 8GB ram. but usable only 7.86GB. hopefully my vmware enough to use.

I did have a look at the 5460 over the weekend. However, I am not convinced that it is the best option if you are looking at it spec wise.
