Yes I do. I had 1 tranx on 27th Feb not posted in Feb statement. The said tranx was subsequently posted on 1st of March and counted as Posted Transaction in March statement and entitle to CB.

So, it is actually based on transaction date, but must be posted before they calculate CB (28 of the following month).
Just curious, your statement date is on 28 of month?
I'll share my case after 28 April.

Good question indeed.
If you already have the WISE card in hand, you can try RM10 first to test water. If you don't have one yet, M2U to me and I test it for you. I will share the findings here tongue.gif

Logically speaking, if the mobile prepaid reload payment is made thru the same portal which entitles you to the 10% CB for postpaid payment, I guess you will be entitled to 10% CB too.

@ronnie, good work on v2... thanks for taking over...

##update on my WISE application process##
- Went to Gardens HLB branch, applied, waited for 3 weeks. No response, called Customer Service, status was cancelled
- Called up bank agent and got to know the reason, HLB approvers was unable to contact my Office number, appeal email is sent through bank agent to correct the number.
- HLB approvers took another week to call up and verify my existence. Its approved now but the card is to be couriered over.

For those whom wish to get this card, this number was given by the HLB CS team. 03-79501166. Its the HLB credit card telemarketing department. If card is rejected, you may reapply. If card is cancelled, there must be some pending issue and we need to go back to initial agent and appeal the case.

Does this WISE card have to come together with the GSC credit card?
My dad applied for the WISE card and he's forced to take the GSC gold card along with this WISE Gold card. My dad immediately canceled the GSC card. Later the customer service told my dad that these 2 cards are 1 pair. And only need to pay GST for one card only. So now the bank is going to send a new GSC card to my dad again.

Not stated anywhere at the website;
http://www.hlb.com.my/pfs/cc/ccwise_fc.jsp?flag=ccwise

Could be a trick from the salesperson. Insist for a black and white stating that need to pay GST for one card only. Else, just make a complain to Bank Negara.

No not true.
As long as you have 10x >RM50 transactions IN ANY ORDER OR SEQUENT WITHIN A CALENDER MONTH, you are entitle to 10% CB.

Thanks ronnie. When I approached agent at road show last time, he told me I only can apply via bank staff. Just to double confirm that.

HLB do things...sometimes no head no tail :/
Be4 i just want to change the address because they key in the wrong one....they made me go to the bank 3 more times after that, because even after filling the form and getting their confirmation that the changes will be reflected within 1 day....nothing happened!! Oh btw, they insist they cant change the address over the phone....just at the branch where i opened the acc :/

Maybe u guys need to "TRY" harder to apply.....since changing address itself also such a hassle...@@

Question 1: Is the Cash Back credited into our account at the end of the month? (Like Maybank?)

Question 2: Min Spending RM50, Can we split TNB Bill, say RM500, 10 times in one day? Or HLB Portal has restricted on 2 payments to specific payee in one week (like Maybank)?

Question 3: Is there any other fee besides GST RM50?

Thats all my queries. Hope those who are the card holders could tell me more about it and your experience in using it. Thank you.

Question 1 : 10% Rebate will be credited every 28th of the NEXT month.

Question 3 : Annual Fee is not waiveable (I think subject to change)

FYI, Hong Leong Internet Banking do not accept all bill payment (including TNB, Telekom, Maxis, DiGi, Celcom, etc) with credit card. They only accept bill payment with Saving Account or Current Account.

I got charged RM21 for retail interest. I don't really like how HLB rip you off.

My OCBC statement came way earlier before 15th each month (billing cycle on 10th) and due on end of the month. HLB billing cycle on 15th, received on 20th or later with end of month due date. Worse if you didn't received or received it too late.

I'm getting RM50 cash rebate. What's that for? GST offset?

I can't remember how many times I reset password for their online banking. Worst experience ever. Tried login, and wrong password. Tried few other possible combi also failed. Went to their ATM to get the E Pin n reset password. The new combi is the one I used frequently, and guess what. Error popped out new password can't be same as old one. Managed to change it n now same problem again.

I think CIMBClicks is the best.

And sometimes I'm forgetful. Paper statement is best as I will see it everyday on my desk.

PROcrastinating..... It's never too late to let your guys test and report back ;-)
I guess I will use my card starting from 1 May 2013.
Rather than late April 2013, unless can fit RM50 x 10 within 7 days (maybe I can squeeze in some vouchers RM50 x 10 transactions, just to earn my first RM50)

I did receive a retention call-back, but I ignored them. HLB did say I can "reactivate" my cancelled Essential card

No one will answer your question because this card just launched in March 2013.
Some HLB agents says : no AF waiver

Totally agree.. with Maybankard 2 AMEX + OCBC Titanium + HLB Wise = RM200 rebates every month
RM3000 spends gets RM200 rebate = 6.67% average cashback (excl TP calculation)

Indeed. With an average of RM12k annual spent only, we may not stand on a good ground to bargain for waiver.
Come to think of it, after discounting the AF, the effective CB is approx 8.67% provided that you max up the RM1200 CB.

Finally got my March CB - RM82.00 thumbup.gif
I have 3 transactions on 30/31 March were not counted as they have posted dates on 1/2 April.
I presume these 3 will be counted as April CB and posted on 28May. Can anyone confirm for cases of transaction at end Feb?

Hence the CB basically just based on posting dates within calendar month. (Similar to Amex)
If this is the case, why only post on 28th of the following month? shakehead.gif
It is either HLB is far from efficient (Amex post CB on 1st of following month) or they just want to retain customer longer.

It does take additional planning/monitoring if one want to maximise the CB.
Now that my April swipes are done, got to wait for 28May, Oh... yawn.gif sweat.gif
But, at least it gives a handsome 10% CB up to RM100 per month. smile.gif

Anybody knows how does HLB calculates its 10% Wise Rebate ?

Do they add all transactions in the same category x 10% --> Round Down to nearest RM ?

Month end tranx posted in the following month will be counted in the following month. Confirm.
The only reason to delay CB payment is to curb last month purchases but return goods to the merchant early next month, so that actual CB adjustment can be made before 28th the following month. Most hypermarkets have min 7 days refund policy on non perishable goods.
Mbb Amex omitted this loophole. brows.gif

Payment via Maxis Easy Pay is very unfriendly.
I can't even see my account number or to confirm I'm paying for the right account. After you type in the mobile number, BOOM !!! Payment is successful

If you type in the wrong mobile number, you will be paying for somebody else.

1. Expensive 2nd year onwards AF for plat. Go for cheaper gold card with same 10% CB as plat. After all, you don't need high credit line for WISE card because 10% CB is capped at RM100/mth ie RM1k/mth spent.

2. Most definitely. WISE card is my 1st preference card now for the 3 categories I opted. MBB2cards and OCBC Ti are now back-up cards for other categories not covered by WISE card.

3. There is no way to pay TNB bill online using WISE card and I doubt you can swipe 8 times at the crowded TNB payment counter without making the teller''s face turn blue black. tongue.gif

I doubt any one in this thread can try it for you since it is useless to opt for Utility category.
It is better to save the TNB bill for MBB2Amex and earn 5%CB+2.5%TP, total 7.5%.

im thinking if choose grocery will it be like ocbc Ti that most of the Aeon supermarket will nt b entitle for the rebate...

If AEON supermarket is your only groceries store, then you should choose Petrol + Departmental.

Category=PETROL and GROCERY.
The 10x swipes can be from any category, but only swipes on selected category entitle for 10% CB.
But be sure you have > 10x min RM50 swipes every month, just in case some swipes were not posted or posted in the following month.

Wow, > RM900 welcome gift! shocking.gif HLB is all out to promote this. Too bad, I have the card already.

I have added Wise cc in maybank2u. But can't use it to pay TNB bill. Seems none of my bill has the option to choose Wise cc.

Yes, can pay TNB bill by Amex via maybank2u. You can find many have done that in the MBkard2 thread.

No point getting WISE Platinum from Groupon la, Annual fee for basic and supp card already RM450. No indication whatsoever from HLB that the AF can be waived. If can't be waived, even if we can max up annual RM1200 CB, we are actually getting RM750 only (6.25% CB). But still better than MBB2Amex and OCBC Ti la.

There is no Beauty or Automobile category in WISE card, I guess MBB2Amex or OCBC Ti is the next best card to use.

Sorry to hear that. You confirmation clears my suspicion that paying TNB via UOB payonline is different from paying directly to TNB.
Because payee would not get the TNB MCC code if payment was made thru an intermediate payment gateway service provider.

As for the TNB payment Kiosk, you need to do a RM50 test in order to find out the Kiosk payment service is belongs to TNB directly and not provided by 3rd party payment gateway service provider.

My May 2013 spend has been screwed.... Now onwards, I will buy AEON vouchers to spend at AEON Supermarket.
Even I spend to get maximum RM100 rebate, actual cash-back is only 6.89% mad.gif vmad.gif

AEON receipts states : DEPT & SMKT.
That's how HLB is "smart" enought to identify..... Chinese bank are very calculative indeed.

AEON Big under groceries.

Wise card follow MCC code. Not under HLBB control. Our management keep sending emails inform sales person because many enquiries from customer that they did not get their cash back.

Just curious as it was not accepted as Grocery by OCBC Ti and now not accepted as Department Store by HL Wise. So what is the MCC rclxub.gif

I've made calls to HLB awaiting feedback on the actual MCC code for these AEON transactions ......

As I know, MCC 5311 = Department Stores / MCC 5411 = Grocery Stores

True enough.
If one purchase a Rm1000 tv from Tesco in one swipe, one still have to fulfill 9 x > Rm50 for nothing inorder to qualify for CB, hence effectively reduce the CB to 6.9%. It would have been better to use mbb2amex if it is on weekend to earn 7.5%.

As said before, save the TNB bill for Mbb2Amex to earn 7.5% if u have one. Choose other category like petrol or groceries instead.

be careful on departmental category. cs tell me that not all the department store under MCC 5311 get the rebate. only the one mentioned will get the rebate.

for grocery, all mcc 5411 will get rebate. i try it at vy small supermarket and i call cs to check the mcc code. it is under mcc 5411 and i get the rebate last month for my transition at vy small supermarket which accept credit card.

Now, no space for me to use maybank AMex unless i got to departmental store to buy.

MCC Code for AEON Midvalley (Department Store) : 5311
MCC Code for AEON Midvalley (Supermarket) : 5411

Thus, we need to re-verify with OCBC Titanium also.

HLB CS check of MCC needs to hold about 2-3 mins sad.gif

better choose groceries for the cashback categories, use AMEX for any departmental store. To be safe, choose both groceries and department store as your cashback category

I still spent more on OCBC Ti rather than HLB WISE card due to the 1% CB on all other transactions.
If WISE card give 1% CB to non selected categories, sure can tapao OCBC Titanium kaw-kaw liau.

AEON Supermarket - IOI Mall uses MCC Code 5411 (as reported by OCBC). That means it is under Groceries.

Let's say we swipe on 31 May 2013, and posted on 2 June 2013.
Is the 10% Rebate calculation meant for May or June ?

Definitely not for May.
I have a couple of swipes on 31Mar, were not counted in March CB (which was posted on 28April) and awaiting to see if they are counted in April CB (to be posted tomorrow, 28May.) It is almost a good 2 months wait. doh.gif (Swipe on 31 March, receive CB on 28 May).
I have now learnt to wrap up my monthly swipes by 27 or 28 of month.
May do one Maxis easy pay tonite to maximise this month CB. wink.gif

According to my statement

14-APR AEON AU2
21-APR AEON SMKT-AU2

I suppose the 14-APR will get 10% rebate while the 21-APR does not get rebate?

Sorry to hear that. You confirmation clears my suspicion that paying TNB via UOB payonline is different from paying directly to TNB.
Because payee would not get the TNB MCC code if payment was made thru an intermediate payment gateway service provider.

As for the TNB payment Kiosk, you need to do a RM50 test in order to find out the Kiosk payment service is belongs to TNB directly and not provided by 3rd party payment gateway service provider.
*
But I read on OCBC Titanium forum that paying TNB via UOB payonline can earn 5% cash rebate. If both Wise and OCBC Ti cash rebates are based on MCC code, then Wise should be able to earn rebates too, right?

So, if like that even one has chosen both Departmental and Grocery categories also can't get CB for AEON Supermarket. Keep that for Amex and OCBC Ti then.

Since AEON Supermarket is not categorised as Grocery (per sms), neither does it consider as Departmental (from your experience), then no point to swipe Wise cc there.

17.
Are both Aeon Big and Aeon's supermarket are classified as Groceries Category to enjoy 10% cash back?

For Aeon, only Aeon Big is classified as Groceries Category to enjoy 10% cash back. All other supermarkets in Aeon's outlets are NOT classified as Groceries Category to eligible for cash back. The assignment of merchant category for each merchant is subject to classification by the respective acquiring banks.

18.
If I were enrolled for Petrol category, can I enjoy the petrol cash back at any petrol stations? And, are both card transaction at petrol pump/ automated fuel dispenser and cashier counter eligible for petrol cash back?

Yes, you may enjoy petrol cash back for card transaction at automated fuel dispensers, applicable to any petrol stations.   But, card transaction at petrol station's cashier counter will not be eligible for petrol cash back as the swipes at counter may include miscellaneous purchases, eg. food, drinks, etc.

The FAQ has a dedicated FAQ for AEON.
If AEON's supermarket is indeed under MCC 5411 but not entitle to CB, then it contradicted with the groceries category CB TnC whereby all MCC 5411 will be entitled to 10% CB.
Got ground to argue with HLB if you want to brows.gif .

It does include my 3 swipes on 30/31Mar, but excluded 1 swipe on 29Apr.
Still not maximising the CB yet as was not familiar with the month end calculation. Should get more CB in May. brows.gif

My first 10% Cashback : RM99
Actual Spending to get 10% Cash back : RM986.80

aeiou228 did mention we can use the Rebate received on 28 May to offset Current Outstading Statement Balance.
But the HLB Connect website doesn't show it under Last Payment: like Maybank's

Eg.
Statement Balance for April : RM1099, (Due on 1 June)
Rebate receive : RM99
Total cash payment : RM1000
Can the above be done ?

Oh ! now I see your point.
My statement date is on end of month, thus my statement balance always discounted by the CB on 28th.

Your question was if the statement date is 20th May, can you minus in advance the CB credited on 28th May ??
My guess is if you pay a shortfall amount against the statement balance, you will kena penalty. (to be confirmed though)
For statement date 20th May, your statement balance already minus off the CB credited on 28th Apr.

Before swiping, suggest to call HLB CS to confirm the category you have selected during application is correct.

Maxis confirmed can get CB. As for Digi, I don't know but should be able to get CB like Maxis.

Bro Ronnie.. i think is better to put and highlight in bold on 10 swipe with min of RM50 per transaction on your selected cash back categories to activate the 10% cash back in the CONs... i miss out to read the FAQ and get "CONs" and didnt get any rebate....

You don't need to swipe 10 times in your selected Categories to get the 10% on your selected category.
Can you share your findings ?

last mth statement i swipe more than 10times >RM50 but only 8 times on my selected category. This mth statement came, i didnt get any cash rebate.

So i called customer service. he told me i didnt get it coz i didnt swipe 10times >rm50 "on my selected cash back categories" so i wont get any cash rebate.

He say its stated in the internet that you have to "swipe 10 times with min of RM50 per transaction on your selected cash back categories to activate the 10% cash back"

I've double confirm with the sales exe before i sign up and called to customer service before to check too... that time they say any transaction as long as its 10 times and >Rm50. and i've called 2nd time to check is it >RM50 or =>RM50 the answer i get is RM50 also consider valid.. but now they say different...really feel like kena CONs

correct me if i'm wrong, but if i'm right, why i didnt get my cash rebate...

No suchTnC of you must swipe 10x > RM50 to ACTIVATE CB for the first time. Pls provide the link if customer service said it was published in the public domain.

Could it be some of your 10x swipes posted after month end date?
Bear in mind, the 10x swipes is based on calendar month (posting dates), and not by statement cycle.

Calendar month means Jan feb mar ......
Statement date means the date of a statement from 1st to 31st in a calendar month where the system generate the statement and mail it to you.

10x >rm50 transactions must be posted in a calendar month in order to earn the monthly CB, irrespective of your statement date.

I see this HL style the average day differences between transaction day and posted day is 2 days,so if we swipe 10X>Rm50 but only 9 times manage to enter statement date period we still got risk kena con la?

The 2 days delay from tranx date to posting date is normal. Whatever tranx not posted this calender month will still be taken up next calendar month. Some small time merchant never do settlement everyday, thus the posting date can be longer. So no con la.

I didn't check My April's statement but i did have month end tranx brought forward to the next calendar month previously. I usually hit > x10 after mid month ( to max up the rm100, definitely have to be more than 10x) so the carry forward thing doesn't really matter to me.

We are not talking about number of transactions.
Let's say we swipe on 30 April 2013 and posted on 2 May 2013 (achieved the 10 transactions by 15 April), would the 30th April rebate be under May 2013 calculation or burnt ?

Ah....now only you talk what you meant. laugh.gif
I didn't check thoroughly. But every month I get full CB and it tallies with the total amount spent in previous month. So I believe you will certainly get the CB for those brought forward tranx.

i s this omething new that must have 10 transactions in selected category??

I checked my statement dated 31.3.13 and in there i only had 9 transactions in my selected category -5 petrols totalled RM251,94, 4 groceries totalled 406.75

i have 2 other transactions posted in that Marc 13 -TNB payonline and dining.

On 28.4.13 i still got the 10% CB - petrol RM25, groceries RM41.00

That means not all the 10 transactions must be in the selected category.

I guess currently wise card providing the highest CB in the market right? The down sides of this card are the annual fee is high and min 10 swipes retail transaction to activate the CB.

I did an online RM10 credit top up via YES 4G portal and paid by WISE card. To my surprise, the payment went thru successfully without SMS TAC authorization. Is it because the amount is too negligible ??
I paid Maxis bill online recently, SMS TAC authorization was required.

Hong Leong oh Hong Leong. Why do you have to make it SO CONFUSING for your customers? Like life isnt complicated enough already. The rebates I am getting might be enough to colour my grey hairs. So I guess I will be sticking with MBB2 AMEX and OCBC Tits. More straightforward and easier to understand. Good luck Wise Card !

It is confusing indeed. This is how HLB cover the loss from the 10% CB payout.
CB saved from the confused card members to cover the CB payout to the WISEr card members.

Have anyone try to pay via TNB Kiosk and get the rebate? The transaction shows as 'TNB Kiosk ....' in my MBB statement, so I assumed its from TNB and not 3rd party merchant.

TNB Kiosk sounds ok for 10% CB. To confirm, you try pay RM50 first la then report your findings here.
Haven't come across any one from here opted utility category yet. So can't offer you any credible answer.

BTW, I thought the kiosk uses barred code scanner and you can't manipulate the RM50 payment splittings trick?

There is barcode scanner and manual input option too, where you can input any amount you want to pay, capped at daily RM1,500, AMEX accepted.

I just sent my application not long ago and haven't got my card yet.

If the kiosk works for Wise card, then it would be easier to meet the requirement, just RM100x10 will do smile.gif

Will update once I get the card then, or hopefully someone can test so I don't need to be the white rat

I guess you must be paying commercial TNB bill then. Not bad for a mere 15min work at TNB kiosk to earn RM100. HLB sure rugi big time. haha !
Update this forum once you successfully earn the RM100 easy money in 15min.

OK. so no Wise Platinum for me. HL sent me SMS saying they need additional documents but when I called the number in the SMS, they say the application was cancelled and returned to branch. I submitted the form, IC and the BE receipt from e-filling. Maybe I should have attached together copies of payslip.

Let's say my maxis bill with RM200, can I make the payment by splitting it into 4 transactions within few minutes time? Would HLB consider this as 1 transaction since it is done within a short period of time?

My new strategy would to change the amount and different days to avoid HLB from detecting a trend.
Cos once it becomes detectable, it will create issues for the other cardholders.

Hong Leong messed up real big time by going to Groupon to promo the Wise card. They chalked up about 3000 interest from Groupon sales but now unable to cope with the application.

Yesterday, Hong Leong called my wife and requested her to resubmit her form again because they did not receive it. How the heck do they have my wife's telephone number if she didnt submit the form. More surprising is verification was already done 2 weeks ago.

I told my wife to reject the card and stop entertaining them since we are not going to make it in time for the Ipad Mini offer. Gonna stick with my reliable MB2 and OC.

thanks. I normally shop at Giant/Tesco/Carrefour. Except for Carrefour Tropicana City Mall, I have gotten 5% from OCBC from those that I shopped at.

I tried the Groupon promo too. The HLB customer service sucks big time. Calls were never returned. Maybe I will let it pass this time. Wait for another promo. Worse come to worse, I always have my M2U and OCBC to fall back on.

I find WISE is not very difficult.... if you can't spend >RM50 don't apply.
Buy vouchers for Grocery is best idea to hit the RM1000 spend limit and 10 transactions.

Giant : RM100 x 3
Tesco : RM100 x 3
Carrefeur : RM100 x 4

Different age group, lifestyle, profession have different liking. E.g. A family man would definitely choose grocery and petrol, whereas a single young female working class without car will stay away from grocery and petrol.
Anyway, grocery and petrol are the 2 easiest categories where card members can manipulate the 10x >RM50 tranx.

I have just received my new Hong Leong Card and wanted to purchase the Ipad Mini promo RM655.00. It stated that I should receive a SMS with a unique log in ID and password to be used for purchasing in the Hong Leong Connect. Until to date, I have not receive that SMS.

Did anyone new credit card holder apply and purchased the Ipad Mini from Hong Leong Connect? Please share how and what need to do to purchase the Ipad Mini?

Thanks

I think it the iPAD is not a guarantee purchase right ? There is a limit of 300 units up for grab if I'm not mistaken.

The terms stated "Eligible New Card holder will be issued unique Password......". So "Eligible" means qualified based on the criteria as new application and not by selection or random pick. There is 100 unit per week for 6 weeks and based on first come first served.

If Hong Leong customer service says selection or random pick, then they have tricked alot of new applicant. If this is the case better don't offer the mini Ipad as the selected credit card holder need to fork out money to purchase it. Another super "trick" by Hong Leong.

"Eligible", "100units/week" and "first come first served" are pretty clear indications that the offer to purchase iPad mini at RM655 is not a guaranteed offer. Better call HLB to confirm your eligibility.

i have just collected wise card from hlb branch under groupon compaign.
When i call to activate the card, I confirm the groupon gifts and cb categories. I was informed by the CS that AEON (including SUPERMARKET) is categorized under Departmental. For groceries, it is only AEON BIG.
Any Sifu can verify this statement?

This card is good but does really makes you feel like going for groceries every week and pump half tank every time. Sometimes get the looks why this fella so fast filled up.

Buy Rm50 voucher = Collect member points
Spend RM50 vooucher = Collect member points

My selection is Utilities, Petrol and Mobile.

I'm not able to hit the max CB so with my TNB bills which is steadily at around RM200, i can reach RM800+ usage per month.

I do my grocery annually whenever there is a 20-30% CB offer So not much of a point to select grocery in my category.

Just need to know what is the correct mechanism to pay my TNB bills.

If you want to split to 4x RM50 tranx, the only way is to pay via TNB Kiosk. However, no one in this thread has reported successful cash back on TNB yet. Perhaps you will be the first to share your findings here ?

Correction !
If you transact in 30th June and posted in 1st July, then the said transaction will be counted as CB and 10x Rm50 qualification in the calender month of July.
To qualify for 10x Rm50 and CB, it is based on tranx posted date.
It is not possible to qualify for July CB for tranx posted in June as per your reply above.

HLB consider 2 swipes.... try to ensure you don't make it too obvious.... smile.gif swipe maybe approx 5 mins apart

everyone pls take note that the 10% cash back calculation period is based on calendar month instead of your billing cycle. the 10 swiping per month is based on posting date by vendor. NOT your swiping date.

for example, I already swipe 9 times in the month of June and i did my 10th swipe on 30 June. However, the vendor posted it to HLB on 1st July. in this situation, you got RM0 cash back for month of June just because you didn't met the requirement of 10 swipes..

So,it is adviseable to use it as fast as possible during the begining of the month instead of last minute near month end.

thanks ronnie.. just that the amount doesnt tally... i swiped 139.60 in total so far, but remaining limit shows i've used 289 =.= so kinda confused... normally should be rm200 they hold, even if add up the amount, doesnt tally..

cos its a new card, just got 2 days back, afraid might be involved in any fraud only

Hi all, just need to clarify if one of the transaction (fall within cb category) is Rm30 only while my monthly transaction is >10times (>RM50). Will the Rm30 transaction qualify for 10% CB?

Yes, the RM30 transaction will get the 10% cashback.... You don't need all swipes >RM50. You just need any 10 transactions >=RM50

If you think the HLB WISE card is not suitable for you, don't apply....

The CS is definitely WRONG... AEON Supermarket doesn't fall into Groceries or Departmental Store for WISE card.
This based on FAQ no. 17
QUOTE

In the T&C item 2(b) it states:-
To be eligible to earn Cash-Back for the month, the Cardholder must have a minimum of any Ten (10) retail transactions (the “Transaction”) in the same calendar month and each with a minimum amount of Ringgit Malaysia Fifty (RM50).

IMO, if the transactions are in the same calendar month regardless of posting date, then you should entitled for the cashback.

It did not state posted transaction.

I believe you should apply at the HLB Branch or roadshow booth. Best to apply late of the month to ensure you can get the card early next month to maximise the rebate for next month.

Mine was registered ok on first attempt at end April this year.
The card details are saved, and no re-keying in subsequent payments. nod.gif

It used to take 2 days to post, but took 3 days last month causing me mis-calculated my June CB.
I paid on 28 Jun 7.40am, should have posted on 30June, but surprise to see it posted on 1 July. doh.gif
It is kinda maximizing the CB, that's why do it 2 days before month end in case there are other expenses come in. tongue.gif

The free gift for application via Groupon came in last Friday as promised in their earlier e-mail.

The 2 sets earphones are packed in one box. Wonder how they deliver the beanbag?

Now waiting for the RM100 rebate to be reflected in the statement.

That could be easily credited into your Groupon account. Just log-in to your Groupon account and see if it is already credited.

Got my WISE card today..

Successful registered on Maxis EasyPay

Paying 1st maxis account with 3 x RM51 success
Paying 2nd maxis account with 3 x RM55 success, then failed on 4th attempt even I changed the amount to RM56. Talked to CS, and they said its OK with my card, they dont block the transaction. I think its Maxis EasyPay limit me to pay max 3x transaction per account per day?

Update: Called Maxis 123, Maxis EasyPay is limited to 3 transaction per day on a single account. tongue.gif

This type of transactions will/may "create" issues later if HLB finds out we do split payments....
Try to do the transactions at different intervals and different amount each time, to avoid detection. sweat.gif sweat.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the reply.

Did you call CS to ask for the MCC of each supermarket before using the card or it's just trial & error?

I'm more inclined towards this card since it's widely accepted here than mbb2 amex.

you cannot ask for the mcc code before you use the card. after i swipe the card, i confirm with hongleong cs that singkwong, farley, tai kiong, nguiekee mukah, daesco hypermarket, gaint super/hypermarket, medan mall supermarket, delta mall underground supermarket is under groccery mcc code and i get the rebate for it since i get the rebate for three month alr. i didnt try at everwin supermarket since they need speng rm100 for using credit card.

since you r using mbb amex also, i share with you that the place at sibu, sarawak which can use AMEX.
1. digital camera shop at the entrance of sanyan,
2. toy and baby equipment shop besides ngiukee or yamyam cafe,
3.water dispenser and acceceries shop at bus station,
4. gaint,
5. all petrol station,
6. parkson,
7. premier departmental store,
8. tanamas hotel and restaurant,
9. wetrac auto service in front of farley food court(2 percent charge and u may ask him to offset it),
10. sengheng, court, guardian besides tai kiong and medan mall only(gaint and sanyan guardian didnt accept it), all watson
11. some brand shop like vincci,

sorry RONNIE to post mbb 2 card here. just want to share something with my sibu sarawak guy. can you pls update it at you mbb website for sibu sarawak. thanks.

Wow, you really did some homework there rclxms.gif

I didn't know that we can't ask for the MCC from the CS before using the card (so, it's really trial & error la). Well, at least I know which merchant is under grocery now, thanks to you. I'm going to apply for this card by next week. Hopefully will be approved.

Rebate is calculatyed based on Total Spend posted in a calendar month (i.e. 1-30 June / 1-31 July).
Then rebate is creditted on 28th of every month.

Eg. 1-30 June's posted transaction ---> Rebate given in 28 July 2013
Eg. 1-31 July's posted transaction ---> Rebate given in 28 August 2013

I also had a transaction posted into the NEXT month... which totally screwed my July Spend.
So next time need to really "take care" of month-end transactions.

Just like Maybankard 2 AMEX calculation of rebate.... if your June swipe is posted in July, it will be calculated under July's quota of RM100 [For HLB WISE]

That why i spend like crazy during begining of the month to achieve 10 transactons and try my best to max out Rm100 rebate to prevent near month end spending. Some merchants took their own sweet time to post it lagi worst, got once Tesco post it 7 days after i swipe it. sweat.gif
