I also had a transaction posted into the NEXT month... which totally screwed my July Spend.
So next time need to really "take care" of month-end transactions.

Just like Maybankard 2 AMEX calculation of rebate.... if your June swipe is posted in July, it will be calculated under July's quota of RM100 [For HLB WISE]

Hmmm, I thought you did get RM99 CB for June?
It is true that the delay posting dates do affect our following month spending.
Actually, what I did was using Maxis Easy pay as adjustment. Since I have extra credit with Maxis (over paid with 10% CB), hence I can choose not to pay Maxis if my current month CB has been max out by other categories.

I find this overpayment to payees (Maxis here, and Unifi & TNB for my Amex case) have 3 benefits:
1. Gain 10% CB (and ~7.5% for Amex) which is higher than 3% FD if I keep my cash in the bank
2. Can skip paying the payees if I have max out my CB for certain months (like year end sales, unexpected hospital bill, etc)
3. I can pay any time (no worry of line being cut), like near month end instead of bill due date (since my acct is already in credit) after assessing my CB amount.

It is easy to do:
- Max the CB : Pay any amount (Maxis is RM30 min)
- Convenient: Pay via internet at home at night
- Consistent posting date: Maxis take 2-3 day to post (Unifi and TNB post on the same day)

This works for me as I notice my spendings are seasonal and not consistent over the months/years. Just my findings and sharing. icon_rolleyes.gif

Don't la like that. Give chance la. I was thinking instead of charging the RM600 insurance premium to OCBC Ti and earn RM6 CB, I might as well use the RM6 to buy a chance of Hot Deal here.

Hello, guys. Just wandering around this corner to see how HL credit card is like. Seems like it's quite good in the sense that you can achieve up to RM100 cash back if we spend on those specific categories. But there seem to be some downsides to it, such as minimum number of swipes...
Generally, do you think this card is good to go hand-in-hand with OCBC card? Thanks.

Haha.. I thought I recommended WISE card to you some time ago but unfortunately you are not a big fan of HLB ??
A free gadget worth RM1200 every year complimentary from HLB, why not ? thumbup.gif
10 swipes can be achieved easily if your mobile, petrol and grocery expenditures exceeds RM1k per month. Who doesn't ??biggrin.gif
This is a must have cash back card but approval is pretty stringent.
